I have installed WM5SE_4 on my Wizard G4 and it works great. I would now like to try TNT, but when I try to install it, I get ERROR 300. I have tried to reinstall the Cingular ROM, but I still get ERROR 300. I installed hard_SPL-G4, before I installed WM5SE_4. What do I have to do to change this ROM to another?
Replace RUU in the TNT rom with 'MUNS_RUU' or copy and paste nk_nbf folder of TNT rom in MUNS_RUU folder and run the RUU of the MUNS_RUU.You can get the MUNS_RUU from the HardSPL thread.

You are welcome !
I changed ROM on my G4 Wizard to a TNT, then added cube and baterry status for speed it up a little. It was running OK.
It blocked some time after and I am not able to load a ROM again. After reading a lot on foruns I tried Wizard lobe, 5buttons the original ROM and, after 100% loading procedure, the Wizard blocks on the very first page with the IPL 2.21.0001 e SPL 2.21.olip and that is all. I always have to start on the bootload screen (3 colors screen).
I read that as long as I can access the 3 colors I am not bricked.
can you help me?
Tks in advance

Yes ! as long as it gets into bootloaders (tri color) its safe, but DON"T ever flash a Button's Rom onto it,as its a G3 rom with G3 IPL/SPL,it'll certainly Brick it, if it still goes to bootloaders,I must say you are a lucky guy,it didn't get bricked as you flashed Button's on it.
You must have overclocked it too high thats why it got stuck. Now as it goes to bootloaders and its HardSPL (IPL 2.21.0001/SPL 2.21.olip) flash wizard_love rom, hope it'll recover back, after that flash any wm6 rom of your choice, but don't overclock it too high.

I guess you are rigth. I overclocked with the allowance to float the frequence and did not set an upper limit.
The problem now is - I can get to the bootloader, start RUU flash procedure ( it goes slowly to 100% as usual) and reboot. After that all I can get is the HTC start screem and the wizardlove (the blue image) or TNT Series image without the radio data. It does not move forward to any other action.
With a soft reset it gaves me the HTC and the same image but with the radio data. Before asking I spent a lot of time searching in forum but I did not got to a similar problem.
Many thanks for your support.
Try a Hard reset and remove,if any sdcard or minisd. As it's HardSPL,you cannot flash an official rom also, coz it contains ipl/spl in it,Official rom is only possible after removal of HardSPL,the only way out is to have a working OS on the phone, try to flash any custom build wm6 rom.
Dear Zabardast_1
I tried to flash TNT, Qtek and a brazilian local operator ROM and no way. It always, after the 100% loading, boots and remains on the first screen.
With Farias ROM the same happens. It freezes with the first logo loading WM.
The hard reset shows formating FAT and fail to format.
Do you have any other idea?
Tks for your support.
Good evening board!
I tend to lurk around on the forum as most things tend to go over my head, but I do admire the heavy work you are putting into the site!
I've been reading about the 6.1 upgrade for the Nike and I'm thinking that I can be bothered to wait for orange to pull their thumbs out of their collective bottoms and release a patch/upgrade for the branded touch dual I have. (Thanks fritsypeij!)
I've read through the Wiki pages on here but if I'm honest I'm still none the wiser!
I've removed the security on the phone so I could install a few cabs (Slide Actions, CtoA Fix, Redbox) the most important would of been the Touch flow 2D file.
From what I understand, if I wanted to install the 6.1 upgrade I would need to:
Install Soft SPL,
USPL
and then flash the ROM
I would say I 70% understand SoftSPL, but USPL and HardSPL I don't understand the difference.
Obviously I don't want to risk ending up with a nice shiny brick, so any advice would be amazing!
You're talking about the Touch. It might be that you forgot to add "Dual", else you're in the wrong forum and you will brick you phone for sure
SSPL temporarily unlocks your Touch Dual to flash an USPL *or* HardSPL to your device.
The difference between USPL and HardSPL are, as far as I know:
- USPL gets overwritten if the ROM you want to flash has an SPL included (so every time you flash a new Rom you have to do the SSPL-USPL again)
- HardSPL never gets overwritten unless you flash a new SPL yourself
I hope you get the pic
Succes

Thank you for that (and for spotting my "deliberate" mistake )!
So it would be best to always USPL then? As I read in the Wiki that you should always use the right SPL with the ROM. So if you have an old HardSPL, the rom might not work right. Have I got it right?
Well I braved it and managed to successfully do it!
Had a bit of trouble with the UPSL, but after pages and pages of reading I managed to figure it all out.
Two hours later and everything is installed, cab fixes back on. I think I miss the Touch2d interface but I'll see how it goes. Does anyone if the Touch2D will work on the 6.1 update?
My main bug though is this threaded SMS update. How the hell do you turn it off?! It's horrible! The text is all over the place!
Take a look in this thread (below) for a cab file to install to remove the threaded SMS (it bugs the heck out of me too).

And yes, Manilla2D works just fine on WM6.1. Just follow the instructions properly for the installation and all will be well.

Thank you very much!
I have a HTC Hermes and I have been having some problems with my phone. I read on some threads that people have been having similar problems and a possibly solution would be to change the ROM and/or the Radio.
SO NOW I have been trying to update the ROM yet it keeps coming up with errors.
Errors: [222]- Device not responding.
[260]- Update Error
I have tried MANY things. Vista, XP, putting PPC in boot loader mode before hand, not using boot loader, changing settings of Active Sync (disable connection through USB). Each of these things have been tried off and on multiple times, to ensure the problem was not just a one time thing.
Please let me know if there are any known solutions. I am hoping this will solve my random hard resets, frozen screens, and data loss.
Pda: Hermes 100
Rom: Pays Lite
Radio: 1.16.00.00
Did you flash HardSPL on your device? If not, you may be stuck, depending on what the issue is. Regardless, if you're getting connection-related errors when trying to flash, you should try using another cable as that may be a contributing cause to your issue.
yes I believe I did. Actually when i go into bootloader it actually says Olipro (aka Hard SPL). And yes I have tried various cables, not just one.
Use sd card method.
1. Format sd card fat32 and copy .nbh file to it. Rename to "hermimg.nbh".
2. insert sd card in phone and go to bootloader (hold power, ok key above flywheel and reset with stylus, hold in until the tri-colour screen appears).
3. As long as sd card is fat32 and herimg.nbh file is named properly, follow the prompts.
THIS WILL ONLY WORK IF HARD SPL V7 IS INSTALLED (I know you said you have it but this is a warning for others)...
Cheers...
I have heard about this step but to be honest I havn't heard of file formats nbh. I have a rom that I am using now (which I do NOT want to use anymore) that has a nbh file in the folder. BUT the ROM that I want to use (TNT and 1.19 Radio) do NOT have this file format, it does have .nbf though. Is there a difference and could you please give me some more help. Maybe some advice about where I could get nbh files for ROMs?
Thank you once again
Pda: Hermes 100
Rom: Pays Lite
Radio: 1.16.00.00
An NBF file is not a Hermes ROM. The Hermes (and later devices) always use NBH files. (Well, not considering extracted .nb files)
EDIT: Under no circumstances should you try to flash non-Hermes ROMs! While the flashing would usually fail safely, do not take that risk. Always flash ROMs made for the Hermes.
Go to the wm06 forum on here, it has a heap of roms available to flash, most are now 6.1 but I have seen 6 now & then. Do a search for "Hermes 6.1 roms" and see what you come up with.
There are heaps of roms here so pick 1, don't ask whats best as each rom is a personal preference and what 1 person needs may not be for you so do some research.
You're lucky you haven't been flamed for NOT checking if the rom was for your device, though its early yet.....
Cheers...
It worked great thank you all. Now, I can test new ROMs and hopefully my phone will not continue to do the random hard resets and all. If it does I will continue to post on the thread.
Thanks again.
Just be aware that flashing the radio rom is the riskiest part of rom flashing. It has almost a 100% casualty rating of bricks if something goes wrong with the flash. For this reason most people recommend the sd card method as the safest (lets be honest, if you reset your Hermes in the middle of a flash or use a flat battery, you deserve a brick) as there are less chances of stuff-ups.
If the radio rom works well, LEAVE IT ALONE... Unless there is a MAJOR gain by upgrading its best to leave well enough alone.
Cheers...
So I did what you all told me to do. I used the SD to flash my ROM. I am now currently running TNT official Hermes. The phone WAS running fine but today it hard reset itself once again. I have decided that it is time to try to flash the Radio to see if this process will help it from the random hard resets that it has been going through. My question is: Are radio roms also built for specific phones or are they typically universal?
Also if anyone believes that the hard resets are not because of my radio and may be because of something else please say so.
Thanks again

Radio ROMs are most definitely NOT universal. They depend heavily on the hardware, which is different between different models. You should never, ever flash a non-Hermes radio ROM on your device. The one possible exception is the Trinity, which has similar radio hardware.
As for your hard resets, you should flash an official Hermes ROM first (find a version without a radio) and then flash a custom one. It's an issue with how Big-Storage is implemented in custom ROMs.
So I ended up trying out TNT (for HERMES) and didn't like it so I went back to Pays Lite (which does have the nbh file.) I also found custom radio roms and flashed a 1.56.70.11 radio for Hermes. And it seems like this might have worked but than again I have only used it for a little while. The phone did hard reset it self, but I believe that was because I was running to many things and it froze. I am going to continue using this and see how it ends up. IF by any chance I do run into the same problems what do you recommend I do. (remember I have tried multiple roms and now have tried a new radio also)
Thanks

As I said in my previous post, your hard reset issue should be solved if you first flash an official ROM (from HTC itself or a carrier) and then flash a custom one afterward.
As Trancecoder sai, I'd also check for bad blocks as this may be a symptom. Use MTTY to check and fix bad blocks but remember that there may be "branded" bad blocks done by the carrier.
Cheers...
Sorry for the late reply, I have been quite busy with other things. I would like to state that I went along with putting a stock ROM onto my Herm and left it on like that for about 1.5 weeks to make sure that it was working ok. I than uploaded Pays Lite once again (I love this ROM) and I have been using it for a few days now and it has been working fine. I recently added some mods like cabs and a new radio just yesterday and I will let you all know if anything else goes wrong. I thank you all for the great suggestions. I certainly learned a lot. Thanks
I'm going to try a different radio,current is 1.16.00.00.
I've unlocked with pofs V3a unlocker.
I've already flashed a few roms to find one I like.
Just worried about bricking it
When I go to flash a radio rom it states....
"Intended solely for 1.11 SPL.You MUST have 1.11 hard SPL installed to flash"
Pretty sure pofs unlocker installs 1.40 olipro?
Do I need to downgrade to SPL 1.11?
So many threads/posts to read my eyes are starting to bleed.
I've found the Hermes radio rom thread so loads to look at but which one
My first question is: Are you flashing by SD card or by USB?
Probably USB but do have sdcard.
I recently learned how to flash by SD. You must have hard spl to do this. It is much easier and sometimes even faster than doing it by usb, not to mention the most important part- it is safer. You may look in this thread to figure out how to do it.
SPL info Needed.
Thanks for your help Shortie but..........

I've not read anywhere that I MUST have 1.11 when flashing radio?
Pretty sure I have hard SPL 1.40.
I have downloaded SPL's V7 and V9 but not flashed them.
Is it ok to flash SPL V7 and then flash ANY radio
Before I flash my phone for the very first time, I need to know some things.
I know there are threads who give info, but they aren't always up-to-date or handeling about my phone.
So I want to know, I heard about a third version of HSPL.
What are the things that I need to do?
If I want to install a new rom, I first install HSPL, then the rom, but do I have to install something like a radio too? or something else?
Will a custom rom always work in my language (BE/DUTCH),
and which rom is good for texting (no lag etc).
I want a clean and smooth rom, with not much BS. Any advice?
I know it's a lot of questions, but I'm stuck with them for a long long time and I want to be well prepared.
Version of OS: 5.2.21869
Manila: 2.5.19211619.0
ROM: 1.66.404.1 (76641) NLD
RADIO: 2.06.51.07
Follow this thread step by step and you cant go wrong.
Its link you to HSPL3 and anything else you might need.
It tells you how to flash a radio (if you need to).....
It will tell you which radio you need in the thread for the rom your going to use....
You just have to read through all the rom threads to find out which one is going to be best for you...... I'd reccomend energy roms... I think they might only be available in english though. Different languages available will be listed in the rom thread...
The flash only takes 10 minutes...its the reading up first thats the time consuming part....
Hope it all goes well for you
thanks for the advice, I will follow it and read everything 10 times before flashing anything

So here are the steps that I'm about to take: (first off I saved all my data, sms, etc elsewhere).
1) flash HSPL 3

My ROM is 1.66.404.1 (76641) NLD, so it seems that this is okay to do. I think I have the 'usualleo', can I check this somewhere?
When I look into RAM SIZE, it says 512 MB, and I don't know what telstra is, but I definitly won't need the last one (1024). I also think in HSPL itself, I need to choose 2.08.HSPL.
Next, I'm about to flash my first custom rom, and will follow the steps given here:
Flashing Via ActiveSync
1. Download your prefered Rom from the LEO Rom Develpoment Page and unzip/unrar it to your computer
2. REMOVE SIM and microSD CARDS!! (this is a precautionary measure and is not compulsory)
3. Turn phone back on and wait until it syncs with your PC
4a. If your Rom is a .exe (customRUU.exe is already included in the Rom file) then run the file
4b. If your Rom is a .nbh file then run the CustomRUU.exe from the Roms Folder (if one isnt included then download it *HERE*)
5. Follow onscreen instructions to set up your New Rom
6. Once phone has gone through the customisation procedure then replace Sim and microSD Cards
7. Perform a Hard Reset to clear any leftover data from your previous Rom (see intructions at bottom).
8. Set up phone as required and job done.

I really can't find what ROM I should use..
I want a rom with landscape built in and the sms client 2016.
Are there much roms which include this?
yea thats all OK, except you dont really need to remove sim and sd. Only if you're stroubleshooting.
Plus, most cooked roms support 'autoinstall', , , create a folder on your sd card called autoinstall, put in there any cabs that are essentials, and the rom will install them as part of the post flash setup process.
as to which rom for what, thats gotta be down to you. Theyre all good, theres no such thing as a best rom, and what works brilliantly for one person makes the next person weep with frustration.
Flashing only takes 5/10 mins, you can try out a dozen roms in an evening.
Dont forget you only need apply hspl once. It will stay there till you either flash a stock from sd card (dont do this, theres no need nowadays) or you can run hspl2 (yes, hspl2) and choose your stock spl (1.42.0000 or 1.66.0000 or whatever)
can I run HSPL 2 after I firstly installed HSPL 3 for the custom rom I'm about to choose? And I'm guessing roms come packed (7z/zip/rar), need to unpack those files I guess? How do you actually start cooking a rom?
edit: I also gonna remove everything (hard reset) before I start flashing anything, so I start clean
Okay this is coming really close now:

Download Artemis 23.0 level A NLD (this I'm about to use)
I'm gonna go with artemis, but I also want a higher radio version. should I update my radio or my rom first? And how do I know which radio is compactible with that rom? the ones adviced in the rom? http://www.pilotlogic.com/artemis/htc_hd2_radio/ these?
I'm a bit confused what steps to take, in which order.
I know I have to HSPL first, (gonna use HSPL 3)
but then I doubt which to do first, rom or radio. And is it easy to install? Can I make any mistakes on this? what are the things that need special attention? thanks in advance guys, for all the help!
doesn't matter which order, except if you do rom first your phone will hang till you enter bootloader and flash a matching radio so most people say radio first.
heres how i'd do it
1 hspl3 (only needs doing once, not every time you flash)
2 enter bootloader manually
3 flash the radio
4 when it gets to 100% and is about to reboot, hold down voldown to go back into bootloader
5 flash the rom
6 allow phone to boot properly

yes, and it's all thanks to you guys here at xda, I even got to try android wow. But I'm gonna stick to mobile shell for a while, combine it with a new rom I'm about to select
Hi everybody,
Well yesterday i figured out that i could update my rom.
I started to look the Arthemis thread to find out what's new.
I saw SSPL and the 3.14 rom.
I downloaded the 3.14 rom and i installed it.After that i took the SSPL and the Arthemis V42 Rom and tried to install it. No success.
After that i took the energy rom to install it and it works but i still have the 3.14 rom display instead of the energy rom.
So right now i'm a little bit stuck cause i don't know what to do
Here's my specs:
SPL-2.08.HSPL 8G XE
Systeme version : 5.2.21684 (21684.5.3.10)
Manila version : 2.5.20191914.0
Rom version: 09 November 2010 FRE
Radio Version: 2.12.50.02_2
Protocol Version : 15.40.50.07U
So i'm asking you guys a little help please to put energy or new arthemis back in my phone.
Thanks for your help
Ps: ( I need help on how to put my phone back to normal i'm a little confused about SSPL and the 3.14 rom :s )
run Task29
! Read Edit 2 down below first !
Well, you could try to run Task29. That will purge your ROM and leaves it nice and perfectly clean for another ROM without the risk of residua in the memory.
You can find it here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=5848003&postcount=19
You will need to install a radio ROM after that, too. But having the memory wiped clean this way between installs is a good way to avoid trouble.
ThoroSOE
Edit 1: To reset your phone to normal (SPL, too) just download an original ROM and unpack the file with something like 7zip. Take the largest file (easy to spot) and rename it to LEOIMG.nbh. Copy that to your freshly formattet memory card and bring up your phone to the bootloader screen (power up with volume down pressed). It will then prompt to install the original ROM. This will overwrite HSPL and any ROM and Radio ROM you installed.
Edit 2: It could be that with ROM 3.14 the SPL is too new for HSPL! Mind that it just supports specific SPL versions! Check that! I think 3.14 has an 3.XX SPL version.
Before I could install HSPL properly I had to downgrade my ROM with an older original one to get the proper SPL (see Edit 1).
Thanks i try it now ill let you know.
Sir you don't need to look fare for your problem.
The problem is that stock ROM 3.14 isn't compatible with HSPL!!
And about Artemis ROM; I suggest you to take your time and read the "How to install?" At the Artemis ROM.
If you did it; you was ale to see you need to remove HSPL before install stock ROM 3.14!

Thanks again kurt-willems for your answer.
So after reading the entire post on how to flash arthemis rom i did all the steps but i am stuck at the step 7
7. Run SSPL_RUU.exe with Artemis v40 RUU_Signed_0409.nbh in the same folder - YOU HAVE TO BE ON HOME SCREEN, NOT BOOTLOADER (this took me 3 tries until succeded - yes - nerve wrecking, but works). If it doesn't work (hangs on black screen for more than 2min or stays at 0%) remove the battery and try again. If still doesn't work - try solutions in NOTE below.
I did all as it is explained in the thread my SSPL is good etc but when i launch SSPL + arthemis nbh, i got into the bootloader.
I tried like 5 times and i start to be angry.
So if you can help me it would be great.
Thanks
Ok i dont have nerves to do it again, can you guys just simply explain me how to uninstall SPL 3.03 and just install HSPL 2 and put a simple rom cause right now my phone don't work because of that.
Thanks you guys for reading me.
If you will install Artemis ROM I suggest you to use v42.0!
I/we know that flashing over SSPL isn't alway's easy (it will not start alway's)
but some important things to know is to deactivate your Anti-Virus; and creating a file with only the rom.nbh and SSPL_RUU in it nothing els!
(PS; Artemis ROM v42.0 starts better than previous v41.0 (own experience))
But if you will return to previous settings;
Reinstall a previous stock ROM ex 1.66 ore 1.47 (depending of you're aria)
Reinstall HSPL use HSPL3_RUN.exe fore this.
Thank you kurt willems for your time.
So after reading a lot of things , i did everything but im still stuck at the installation of the arthemis rom.
I got a message in the phone saying: This program is trying to acces to your phone etccc... Bootloader.exe. And if i say YES then the program launch bootloader and the installation fails. If i say NO then the program stops.
I'm downloading right now the version 42 of arthemis and i will give it a try.
If its doesnt working then i'll rollback to my previous rom.
Thanks again for your time.

I know this event sir, I have guide lot of users in this part. When you are on the bootlouder screen and at the bottom there is no mention of "usb" the installation will fail.
Its very important to be sure that your device is connect (control it in Active sync), Anti-Virus is turn off, the folder have only the rom.nbh and the SSPL_RUN (nothing more) in it, changing from USB port if you can.
And don't double click on SSPL_RUU fore run, but left click on it and select run ass administrator.
Lately I guide a other user on this and it have takes him 5 tray's
Ow, to be sure you have a good SSPL_RUU version takes mine: Download
Thanks but right now i just want one thing.. My phone to work.
I downloaded V42 and still the same problem.
I downloaded stock rom V1.93 from orange and i can't install it , don't ask me why.
So right now basically my phone is on the stock 3.14 rom and i don't know what to do to put an old rom and to flash to a energy rom with HSPL 3.
Seriously this all thing start to piss me off , no offence guys you making good stuff but sometimes its just to risky to flash.
I followed all the steps one by one and right now i got a useless phone in my hands.
I'm searching a way to get an old rom to be installed and desinstall SSPL.
If you can help me it would be great , im still searching.
You can flash a older stock ROM over SD.
Read my first post. There you can read how to reset to stock (Edit 1). Use an older stock ROM for a proper SPL that works with HSPL.
Install HSPL as instructed in the "how to flash everything" thread.
Run Task29 (see my first post)
Install Radio ROM with x.50.x in it from desktop via Active Sync (you need a Custom_RUU.nbh and the desired Radio ROM).
Install the main ROM you like, f.e. Energy ROM (that's what I use) normally from destop via Active Sync (Energy is one package that works like an official update).
Never had any problems with this way, never needed more than one try.
Hey ThoroSOE i rode Edit 1 and Edit 2.
I hope its not that much to ask but, could you give me a WWE rom like you said in Edit 1 to put it in the SD card ?
It would be really appreciated.
I'm downloading right now a official orange rom (1.66) but i tried installing the 1.43 and it didnt worked, thats why i'm asking you the question for a WWE rom to accomplish what u told me on Edit 1.
Thanks you guys for helping me.
Ok i'm trying this right now Edit 1: To reset your phone to normal (SPL, too) just download an original ROM and unpack the file with something like 7zip. Take the largest file (easy to spot) and rename it to LEOIMG.nbh
With the 1.66 official rom.
I will let you know.
Ok so i tried to do what u told me on edit 1.
I enter in bootloader and what i get is a nice :
Loading ...
Then
00028002
Not Allow
Can someone can tell me how to uninstall SSPL >?
Cause i really start to go crazy

SSPL isn't install on your device! so there is no need to remove it.
Did you tray to install stock ROM over SD!?
Witch are your errors you get?
Hmmm. Installing an official ROM from SD card shouldn't be a problem. If you have a branded device you should install an official ROM that matches your provider and area. For later purposes like installing HSPL it doesn't matter how old it is - as long as it is not too NEW ;-)
That way of installing a ROM (via SD card) ist kind of the brute way. As long as you use a ROM matching your provider and/or area it should overwrite ANYTHING in your phone memory...
When I unsintalled HSPL for the first time that way my HD2 aborted the update in midprocess but restarted updating automatically. After that it went through without problems; I didn't have to do anything.
I used the official 1.66 ROM from the HTC support page (unlocked device).
IMPORTANT: Did you name the ROM file for the SD card LEOIMG.nbh - in all capital letters? As I understand it, the bootloader is case sensitive. So it must be LEOIMG and not leoimg. Also did you format your SD card properly? It must be FAT 32, 4092K - and better not be done with quick formatting.

I format my SD card by the format option on the HTC leo.So i don't know if it's the good way to do it ?
It must be FAT 32, 4092K - and better not be done with quick formatting.
