dear bros. am using HTC gene. yesterday am thought to upgrade my Phone OS and i do the olipro method . first am copy gene_hspl.exe into my phone memory and click to that file . then the PHONE was switch off .after olipro methord my phone ded (only red and green button blinks when i press the power butten).and am go to the orefkov method . but the last...... " ROM update utility " runs in my pc an error message display. "ERROR 200 " ."pls get newer update utility". pls help me . now my phone was
switch off. pls replay urgently.
any trick for swith on my phone., like to remove gene_hspl.exe from the phone memmory(just my idea).
or how to start my phone ....

Dear Pls try with the ROM Update Utility attached below. Even I used to get this error sometimes back. But after using this utility I have never faced any issues....

try killing the wcecomm.exe process from task manager again!!

I use Olipro For Old Gene
After that i upgarde the rom
with this file
RUU_Gene_hTC_Asia_India_1.17.720.1_4.1.13.34_02.79 .90_Ship.exe
After the upgrade it showed sucessfull
But the handset did not power on
Only lights comming on the ( Red- green button )
& now even the computer does not detect the phone
press n hold camera button n reset if u hv done previous steps properly it wil go to bootloader mode!

Hold Camera Button and press "Soft Reset " which is at the Bottom of phone..

remove battery and then press on button then put battery back and then try to above method .
Any Trick for restoring boot file??

are u able to get into the boot loader mode??
unless n until u r able to enter the boot loader mode the ROM update utility will not detect your phone.....

i got the same proplem my mobile was stucked in bootloader screen i used mtty & successfully completed the rom update after that my phone give nothing even no bootloader screen so i have to say good bye

try to post more info as
*your device(p3400 or p3400i)
*what was your spl
*what is your device serial(starts with "ht7xxx" or "ht8xxx")
and try to do this remove the battery and wait for a while then connect it again and then press and hold camera button meanwhile press and hold power button too and wait till you see a screen of three colors (green ,blue ,red) and then release .if this screen appeared so there may be a very good chance to get it alive again.
and try to post exactly what happened.

your spl means the numbers that used to appear when your device used to start(in the HTC logo screen) try to remmember it!!!!!!!!
and what does your device serial start with? (ht7 or ht8) you can find it under the battery .
what the link of the rom upgrade you used?
and try the to press and hold both camera ,voice buttons meanwhile press the power button.

can any one tell me how to restore my htc p3400i back to normal. i have a device HTC P3400i GENE100. i use a guide on this site of KRAZY_ABOUT i successfully install orefkov and after install that i upgrade my original ROM WM6.0 to cooked wm6.1 (by lemlon). after install the cook rom i get my device too slow so then i reinstall RUU_Gene_hTC_Asia_India_1.17.720.1_4.1.13.34_02.79.90_Ship.exe i was really dont know it was for old gene. after install it my HTC is restart and not booting up and not going into bootloader mode and i tried evey combination of key (camera+power button or vol+cam+power or press both "-" button and insert batt.)to go in bootloader mode.... PLZ Help me i m suffer with this problem.

Even my device is bricked because of this ROM
did u managed to resolve issue with your device,
i also flashed my device with this rom and now its over... my device is no more booting up, it not even gives any light or signal.. nothing
Please help me with this

hi amit,
i am also finding the solution for this. but now i m sure i have only last way to restore this with JTAG method, so i m collecting information about this JTAG method, if i able to restore my GENE with this i will definitely create a full guide for new bee who are struggling with this problem...

Why do people go around flashing ROM's blindly?? :angry:
It is clearly mentioned everywhere i read not to flash original ROM's without removing the radio parts..
Please don't flash a rom who contains IPL, SPL or GSM. It will brick your device. Sometimes in a irreparable way.
People should pay more attention to everything mentioned here..

It is the process of recovering the memory addresses of ur ARM where u can directly connected to the respected hardware & re-program that h/w with ur given addresses.....but its so risky.....finaly ur addresse comes to 00....

i have abig problem with my atome ,1st, bootloader it's dead already after i upgrade only OS ( not Exten, eboot,or radio) via SD card.but i can fix it by press
(camera+power on)in the same time with inserting battery,after it show MINI bootloader,then i try upgrade againe, but this only EXTENED rom.So it dead againe.and now i try as (camera+power on),(camera+reset) or anyway for fix,but it still dead.
so any body help.............

1st you must know that your divice dead or not?

Entering Bootloader Mode on Semi-Brick Atom
1. Remove battery for for at least 1 minute
2. Press CAMERA+RESET(stylus) simultaneously
3. Insert battery while still holding the buttons
4. Release the buttons at the same time (You should see bootloader screen)

it's not "bricked" mate, bricked means that not work nothing, no bootloader no nothing ( as mine )
phone stay in black screen.
maybe you solve re-entering in bootloader mode ( tri color screen )
and re-flashing phone

Download a t-mobile rom stock rom first - be very carefully dont use other rom
Just go into bootloader - torn one phone while pressing volume down until you se tricolor screen... connect with pc and wait until drivers are installed and then flash the rom

You need to make sure you download a rom based on your version of HD2. Do you have the European version, or Tmo versoion?
Hello everyone , today i received a notification from lenovo that there is a new lenovo firmware update , i got so excited and i pressed ddownload buytton then it said that u can brick our device because this phone is rooted , so i unrooted the device completly and downloaded the firmware update wheni pressed the install button it restarted to the recover and showed an android toy laying down and the software upgrade percentage as a bar on the android phone screen, i thaught its normal and then it showed a little text under android logo that said "error" i thaught its just a normal failure and i will now just start the phone to normal mode and when i realised its been a lot of time phone is not turning on , found out im stuck at the bootloop, now i dont know how to ubrick it plz help, ill be thankful to you, plz repl and help now before it's battery dies and becomes dead phone. plz tell me a quick way to fix that ive tried to factory reset via recovery mode i am only able to visit the recovery screen my phone is unrooted, and i can also connect it to pc, plz tell me how to flash stock firmware

hey there ,sorry for the late reply ,but i just read the question .
if you can log into bootloop then your phone isn't really bricked .
can you get into the recovery ? if so ,you should just delete the cash and the delvic cash and reboot .you'll be able to get out of bootloop .

hey buddy, mine is somewhat similar but i did hard reset and cleared cache partitions but when i try to switch it on, still says no command. any help please,.
