Xda forum reader app - HD2 Windows Mobile 6.5 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello!
I remember seing it a few months ago on the front page of xda site(not forum) but didnt think it would be as useful back then..Now i travel much to areas with no hsdpa coverage and that app would come in handy..Could any1 please ppoint out to me where to find it?
I DID search but the results were swarmed with the xda app for android..
Thanks in advance!

search for xdapp

Hmmm...thanks...i tried it but it does not seem to be able to connect..it gets stuck @ the part where it is "connecting to server" and then fails and tries again itself..oh well..guess i should install opera mini to do this more conveniently.

The app was never finished.
It is not working.

Website not found?

I finally managed to get Axura 2.0.5 working on my vibrant, but I now have this "website not found" error with specific websites (screwattack and gametrailers to name a couple). I could get into these website before I flashed but couldn't view anything because I didn't have flash player. Now the only browser that will bring up these sites is opera mini. Since opera mini doesn't have flash support, its a waste of time.
Is there something in the network settings that might have been erased or changed? At first I thought I destroyed my service but I can still make phone calls and visit other websites. Could someone please help me fix this? My carrier is TMobile US if that helps.
Those work for me. Same rom. Did you try reinstalking packages from cwr?

would that be the update.zip? Sorry, I'm new to this.
Thank You!!!!! That got it working!

Google Maps MT

Guys, have any of you noticed that Google Maps now has MT? Tried with browser and other apps but it not enabled on them yet.
Just shows that Xperia X10i is MT capable.
No it dose not.. troll much??
I have z's pre rooted rom google maps 5, not really a troll mate as youl see my posts are never fake, always a question asked or help someone.
Edit: for me it works better if i use two thumbs. Im waiting for a response down at xperiax10 blog if no response i will post a video.
Sent from my X10i using XDA App
Erm.. we'll get an update for MT so why do you say that the x10 is able to do MT?
Plz dont be rude
I didnt read xda for a few weeks but when i last read something some ppl said that we'll get an official update that enables MT..
so is this wrong?
Sent from my XXX using XDA App
Well since the MT update is not out yet, and i use google maps all the time i would know if it had multi touch and it dose not, so to me someone posting here claiming that they have MT is trolling/lying or something.
Google maps its self supports MT for pinch zooming, so yeah it has MT but the X10 dose not yet at this time support MT and thus it will not work
This is not multi touch which you are seeing.. It's a double tap causing a zoom. Have you tried zooming out? Have you noticed that it always zooms to the same level regardless of how far you stretch your fingers/thumbs apart?
It's a double tap.
Sent from my X10i using XDA App
rkanwar is right!
Mine does it to. Even in the browser, but I can only zoom in. Not out, so it's not completely implemented.
I just noticed it after the late december update, so maybe some of their test/beta code got into the update somehow?
Edit:
im_iceman has a point. It does look like the phone just registers it as a double-tap.
But I could swear it have never done it before...
Now its official, x10 is MT able but our SOFTWARE doesnt support it...
I noticed that in september '10 on 1.6 ^^

Cisco vpn anyconnect, when where how??

On the official samsung announcement it was promised that the sgs2 will have a cisco vpn anyconnect client. However I failed to find it, or any ETA, does anybody know any details about it?
Sent from my GT-I9100 using XDA App
I've been searching for that aswell but failed to find it. Apperently it is not on the SGS2.
I would like to be able to use it too, so if there is any info please share.
I sorta got it working.. I had to decrypt the pcf file first to get the Group password and the I used an app called vpnc from the marketplace and put in the details from the pcf file and it seems to work. I haven't got citrix running over the vpn yet, still working on that
here is the announcement
on the samsung site under /global/business/mobile/solutions.html#security_vpn
it should be possible without decryption etc., unfortunately the "more information" text on the samsung site is not linked...

I ain't no praying samsung promised it as a feature of the sgs2 (see my earlier msg), and it was one of the reasons I bought it. So I demand it!!

I am now using vpnc and I didn't have to do all the tun stuff, just needed root and that was all.

It's comming
OK, so after two weeks of pain with calling Samsung tech support I was finally given the secret number for their UK head office, just to get me off their backs! HA!
I was told that these missing features are indeed scheduled for a future firmware release. They are going to try and find someone for me to talk to (apparently in Sales) who knows when these are scheduled to land.
Will let you know more if I hear back from them.
Yeah mine is rooted. I lasted 3 days when I brought it, I can't stand buying something and having certain features locked...
It's finally here !
https://market.android.com/details?id=com.cisco.anyconnect.vpn.android
and works fine (only the permanent icon in the status bar is a bit annoying)

[Q] Galaxy S WiFi 4.0 (YP-G1) Questions

First of all, I am a big supporter of searching before posting. Trouble is, in my case, it seems that either I am using the wrong search string or my questions have not been answered. That said, before I post my questions, I want to apologize in advance for any re-posts on my part.
I have a few questions on changing/updating my Galaxy S WiFi 4.0. On the box was YP-G1CW/COO. Kies shows, as the current firmware, PDA:KE1 / CSC:KE1 (COO) and on the Galaxy info screen it says I have FROYO.XXKE1 for a build version.
1 - It appears that I successfully rooted it but when I try to install BusyBox, it shows that my 'System Storage' has 0.00B free. Did I do something wrong? How can I fix that?
2 - There is one app in particular (Pinger TextFree) that I want to get. According to Pinger, the app is available for Android but apparently, only in the US. Which leads me to my next question - Can I change the country code to a US country code? If so, how?
3 - I was also wondering about the GPS. It 'finds' my location (after about 5 minutes) but never (at least not in 40 minutes) gets the driving directions. Is there a 'fix' for that? Should I get a different GPS app? If so, which one would you recommend?
4 - Lastly, I have been reading a lot about the cons of upgrading from Froyo to Gingerbread. What are the pros? Would I be better off sticking with Froyo?
I am hopeful that someone out there will be able to provide me with a few answers.
Thanks in advance to everyone for your consideration.

2- use market enabler app to fake your country.
3- Gps works badly in low ride area... and you can use Gps fixer in market to download your location first before you use it.

Tried Market Enabler...still dont see the app...I can see it online and it says my device is not compatible. I linked it with my Google account so when I log in it says the app is not compatible with my device. Since it is a non US device, I am looking for a way to "change" it. Any suggestions?
As for the GPS, although it takes longer to "find me", it does. What I was wondering about was how to 'make' it get the directions faster or at all. Since it is not a phone and doesnt have 3g, should i let it get the directions before I leave the WiFi area?
Thanks again...

[Q] add button to start network scan directly

Hi!
Any idea how to put a button anywhere on the startscreen of my SGS2 Android 4.0.3 to start a network scan directly without the detour via the menue?

I am sorry, there is a misunderstanding: i'd like to start the search for GSM/UMTS networks from the startscreen.
No problem. Sorry, don't know of any, will report back if I find anything of interest though.

Not sure if Tasker can do this; you'll need to get/install it & play around with it, but if it can you'll be able to create a shortcut to the task on a home screen you can hit. Bit of research required by you to check this out, but it's probably your best bet at this stage.
Many thanks for the hint! Tasker is an universal tool which i will use intensly!
I'll be busy for weeks now... Maybe i even find a way to start the search run.
Best regards
Gerald
Let us know how you get on/if it works
Hi!
It needs much more time to get familiar with the Tasker. There is so much to discover! The perfect toy!
With best
Gerald
