[Q] Call divert conditions - HD2 Windows Mobile 6.5 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi all,
I have a HD2 on O2. I have a really poor signal in my house and was wondering if it is at all possible to setup a call divert to my landline when my mobile is connected to a particular cell and cacel when registered to a different cell?
I have Ageye's G-Profile which enable me to run / close an app when registered with a cell but nothing to do with call diverts. I have googled my ass off on this so any hints / tips would be greatly appreciated.

Setting call devert delay for voice-mail XDA WM2003

Hi All,
I'm sure this has been raised before however i couldn't find in search.
Is it possible to increase the delay on call divert for un-answered calls, at the moment my xda forwards the call through after only 3 rings....quite short.
Or is this a network controlled setting? I've gone through the options in the voice mail setup.
I'm running WM2003 .21 release, on the Australian Telstra network.
Thanks for your help
Steve
Delya before VMS
On Orange in UK, it is network controlled. To change it I have to drop my SIM back in Nokia phone, change it and put back in XDA. I guess this probably applies to all networks.
Hi Pete, thanks for that....put my SIM into a Nokia and changed the settings.
It's strange this is missing from the XDA!
PS - For others stuck in this situation you can call your operator and they can set the delay for you.
Cheers
Steve

Data Blocking Calls?

Hi,
Anyone aware of incoming calls not getting through, e.g. going straight to voicemail, when you're browsing the web or whatever? Or is thi to be expected?
Thanks

GPRS/EDGE will drop calls. 3G and HSDPA, to my knowledge, won't.
Maybe you were not in the 3G coverage?

Its a known issue where 2g networks cant cope with active data connections and a voice call and divert straight to voicemail. 3G doesnt with the capacity.

the problem is that I could expect this when I am actually browsing or something but most annoying is that this does happen even when the phone is on the standby not doing anything (it must be downloading some data in the background though)
and frequency with which it drops 3g and changes to 2g and back doesn't help it in anyway... connection is very very unstable...
I guess its down to sensitivity or buggy radio rom.
i have the same problem here with eplus in germany. the normal behaviour would be, that the data flow is interrupted on incoming call and the call gets routed through. after the call ends the data connection will be set to active again. this is how my WM Phone handled calls during an active data connection. there are a lot of people with similar problems in a german forum. i thought that this is a network issue but it seems that it is a htc here related issue. If so, that would be very a major issue as the android OS and hero are build for beeing online most of the time. Anybody tried a different radio version?

Its not a phone issue, its a network issue. Its to do with NOM1 and NOM2 and how the network prioritises calls/data.
The network should either send a request to the phone (only some phones can handle the request though) to terminate the data or the network should cancel it on their end first and then route the call through. Most networks don't seem to do this.
Changing radio version will not rectify this issue
but obviously there is something that has to be done because it potentially will affect ALL android devices if they use so much background data.
Seriously it cannot be acceptable that phone will simply not ring just because it was checking email or updating weather...

Problem with Hero on incoming calls

[Q] Problem with calling services

Hi ALL,
First, excuse for my English...
Since 2 weeks I received my new Samsung SII back after sales service and specifically update my phone with Android 4.1.2 and VK rom 6.1.3 without testing voice call services
Last week, I received my first incoming call but my contact didn't hear me. I thought a network problem but problem persists...
I made this tests:
- call from my landline to my mobile phone, I didn't hear me in mobile phone if I'm not in speakerphone mode.
- call from my mobile phone to my landline, I didn't hear me in landline if I'm in speakerphone mode.
It' seems the phone work like a talkie-walkie!!!
The phone is currently no longer under warranty and I search a tools for debug voice calling processus with high level in order to diagnose the hardware or software problem.
Thank you in advance.

[Q] Gzone commando rejecting calls before they ring

Hi guys, I bought a G zone Commando C811 to use it as a second phone in a GSM network because I know Verizon global ready phones are unlocked and i liked this model a lot. My issue is the phone works on gsm network ok (SMS, outgoing calls and 3g data) but it is rejecting all incoming calls, phone forwards incoming call to voice mail or if VM is disabled it sounds busy. I managed to root the phone and I disabled all verizon bloatware, I've looked phone logcat and it shows that phone utils is rejecting all incoming calls as soon as they arrive and even before the phone rings.
I asked about this issue in different forums but no answer yet maybe because this phone is very new and a low stream one. I'm not a dev but I could try to find the fix myself if somebody more experienced tell me how to start to troubleshoot this issue.
I'm pretty sure if this phone was a popular one as Verizon's GS4, Droid DNA or HTC One somebody had managed to fix this for GSM users.
