Here brand new RUU for Nexus One
http://shipped-roms.com/shipped/Pas...le_WWE_2.16.1700.1_FRG33_MFG_Shipment_ROM.zip
Enjoy!
Wow. Where did this come from?
Thanks Football, you never disappoint
This ROM was released today, I'm not android guru, but I think this is quite interesting thing for users and cookers
Interesting...
***SPECULATION***
I wonder what the classification in the letters mean? It seems Eclair ROMs had E's in them, Froyos had F's in them. This latest has gone from FRF to FRG? That would be a nice, EARLY leak if it were an initial Gingerbread ROM.
Thanks for sharing will wait until someone find what have changed in this new version.
Thank you, i'll try to root and deodex it first
cool thanks! Anyone checked differences to FRF93?
Great find football
anyone know if this has a new radio?
Radio is still 5.08, system.img is being unyaffs and compared to Stock FRF91/93, I'm sure you'll get a proper breakdown soon enough.
Spl is still the .35.0017 so no change there either.
Its not Gingerbread, or anything close; if anything its just a couple of bugfixes and a new base froyo code, still useful, but not that exciting.

Could anyone do a test and put all the homescreens full of widgets (certainly the heavy ones lik Market widget, youtube,...), put a livewallpaper on (water for example) and see if this works smooth? If it does then google might have fixed the homescreen lag finally
Guys i was joking, cause the new rom was release today just few hours, how would you know if the battery life is good or not for the moment we need to wait few days more.

pngcrushed and zipaligned apks (with the execption of one) to save some space

Not sure why you say that (in those words), but this does look decent!
Also, noob question, but are the stock ROMs (apps included) not zipaligned by default?
Yup they were already zipaligned. At least the ones I just checked
Honesty I didn't even look first. The crush actually takes off about 10Mb though.
yo dumfuq quick question... what exactly is required in editing a kernel to allow for overclocking and undervolting?

Not exactly sure if this is what your asking but basically...
You need the kernel source code to edit (the legend kernel source has the espresso board files),
A handy dandy text editor (like vim),
a cross-compiler (There is one under prebuilt/linux-x86/toolchain in an AOSP or cyanogenmod build environment),
and a linux environment (cygwin might work not really sure).
1. download source
2. unpack source
3. edit source
4. set environmental variables
4. compile source
5. make a boot.img or an update.zip
Obviously that's incredibly simplified, but hopefully you get the idea.
Ok quick question to the maker of this rom... How can i add the themes back to this rom? I want to put the themes back but i dont kno which folder to put them in. Also which folder is where i can change the boot animation you have installed to stock? Thanks
this actually seems like exactly what i want. My only question is does it support a2sd. if so.. i have a new rom

good question. a2sd is a plus
you don't put them in anywhere. you can download and install them. there's a thread already with a small pack of themes to download and install. You install like any other APK. Search this forum section for them.

The PNG crush killed the stock themes. If you want them back you can either boot to recovery and push the original ones to /system/app/ or just flash this...themes-signed.zip. That is just an update.zip that will copy the original themes back to your phone.

Nope. Currently I don't use a2sd, or this rom really. I made this just for an optimized stock rom to bounce back to when needed. Currently I'm running a customized version of eugene's cm6 as my daily driver.
in your experience.. how hard would it be for a novice to add a2dp to this? I did a quick google and found about 3 good pages of data.. but it seems pretty complicated (packing and repacking boot.img looks to be pretty intense on a windows machine without any experience from what i can tell). Do you think i should attempt this? LOL.

Android: 2.2.1
Baseband: 2.1.55

This rom is mostly written by me, yes offcourse i did not reinvent the wheel and used pieces and bits of others also.
It is very stable and did not give me any fc
Bugs
camera isn't fully functional yet for like 3rd party apps
no native wifi/usb tethering
Requirements
Android: 2.1 rooted ROM with Xrecovery installed

oh and not to forget Meikrekel who made me push this online...
Notes
No, not me nor anyone who worked on any part of this rom is responsible for eventually any damaged caused to your phone or life.
Yes, offcourse i am aware this is CyanogenMod 6.1.3 officially... but in my eyes it is not worthy enough to call it that, because not everything works yet.
WARNING!
I do not want to see any fights, cursing, banthering or what so ever in any negative form in this thread... if so i will let this thread be removed.
support ended, because i bought a new phone
Changelog & Fixxes & Themes
beware you should wait up to 5minutes the first time you installed the rom
Fixxes:
- No signal? visit this page for a lower/higher baseband version and you should be capable to flash it over it.
- i am truly sorry to say, that i blocked most advertising websites, adds etc.etc. if you however for some reason do wanna have these, whipe the hosts file ^^
you found something that is broke?
or are you gettin force closes? (if you really got this because you use baseband that is lower than .54 imma hit u with the ugly stick!)
download catlog from the market and send me the logfile, i'll make sure i'll do my best to fix it
Custom Themes:
SJ_CyanogenMod_6.1.2-Xtremes_X10_theme by Shiwantha
Can't wait to see the changelog and the difference of the CM6.1.3 V4 and CyanogenMod7.
Is there anyone can tell me what's the difference among them??? So many CyanogenMod???!
And i just find something about the .55 BB.:http://www.xperiax10.net/2011/02/19/rogers-releases-new-2-1-1-a-0-6-firmware-for-xperia-x10a/
Great, i can not wait, another cynogen rom and a new chef, i will re-flash my baseband as soon as you upload, can we have some screenshots please, and most of all thankyou for sharing.

And can you tell us more about the camera? Not fully-functional means we can take photos only without selecting the quality of the photos or we can also take video but with another thinks to concern?
cheers
L
@smartgardens, screenshots added
@jusiek, i advice to use the latest baseband tho.. but older one should work without any problems
@laill, yes you can make vids and photo's mate, but its not 100% optimalized like the standerd one is... and 3rd party apps dont like it yet there are 2 camera apps in it the one from miui and the regular one

Welcome to ThiaiZ V0.2
I saw that a lot of people out there would like a stock, stable, fast and rooted ROM, so i decided to make one on my own, keeping it as much as stock as possible. This is my first SGS2 ROM (got the device for 3 days ago), coming from HTC Desire which i have always developed my own ROMs.Be patient and I do really want to help this community to grow and find the best for this incredible peace of engineering called Samsung Galaxy S II.Suggestions are always welcome.
Here is how it looks:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BgWJcjYbJVA
Features:
-Base: XWKF3.
-Kernel: CF-Root-SGS2_XW_XEU_KE2-v4.0-CWM4.(Thanx ChainFire)
-Deodexed,Zipaligned and Signed.
-Some extra tweaks for speed and memory.
-Camera tweak.
-Everything from Samsung is still there.
-Gtalk 1.3 with video
-Native android SIP stack for Wifi AND 3G calls
-No themes (as I said, I want it stock).
-The only change is startup wallpaper.
-CRT animation. "Sorry for that guys, but u can disable it anyways"
-Desktop as Browsers UA as default. "Ops, sorry for that too, but i said i would do".
Changelog V0.2
-Apk tweaks for speed (it seem to have worked).
-Phone.apk bug from v0.1 is fixed here.
-Changed to this Kernel CF-Root-SGS2_XW_OJV_KF1-v4.0-CWM4.zip - Come on guys, choose the kernel that fits your Rom better, the one here works better for my needings, so feel free, there are lots out there.
Known bugs:
-You tell me, please.
How you Install it:
http://www.multiupload.com/1DAB68308S
-Download and copy the .ZIP file onto your SD or Phone.
-Restart device in CWM (Vol up + Home + power)
-Backup your old Rom
-Wipe data + cache (All your data will be gone)(V0.2 itself will wipe your data)
-Choose "Install Zip from SD card"
-Browse the .ZIP file and install it.
-Boot device and ENJOY.
-I'm not responsible for your mistakes you should know what you are doing.
**I do really recommend the use of Tegrak Overclock**Buy it from Market.
-I do play a lot and we know that some games like (Asphalt 6) are made to not use the whole GPUs power , it means lower FPS.But at the same time I want a longer battery life the screens to move smoothly and i don't want the device to overheat, so what I did is.
-Install Tegrak Overclock
-Load the modules
-Go to GPU optmization and change values to:
-267 - 975 and 200 - 950, if it works for me should work for you too.
Old Versions.
V0.1
http://www.multiupload.com/ZU48COCMUJ
Updates to V0.1 ,don't flash it to V0.2.
1st update is out.
-Green status icons
-CRT animation
-Desktop as browsers default user agent
Download and flash via CWM

You can actually use the Kernel you think fits better,at least for now when all the Roms out there are based on official samsung bases and so are the kernels. When I first excrated the Base, a KF1 kernel came together, but i decided that this one just works better.I'm gonna start doing a research about kernels, cause i don't think any of those out there matchs my expectations 100%.

As per popular request, the OpenGApps(o), Xposed(x), Rooted(s) Kit-Kat 4.4.4 firmware version for MTCB/C rk3188 units, based on JY's images from 16/03/28.
You will have the pleasure of installing the Xposed framework yourselves (the xposed installer is pre-installed). That's a relief! (for me)
The "usual suspects" are also pre-installed: mtcservice-2.60 & mtcxp-4.3, ttxp-3.3, mtc-sound-2.0.5 (but even the official version will work anyway).
Don't forget to enable the xposed modules&reboot.
Note that the included recovery, of slightly newer version (albeit still a KK one), once installed, does indeed execute the "clear all" part - it formats data and cache at the end, so the subsequent express "wipe all" seems unnecessary.
TT GO spoofing is in post #392.
Blank kernels, with no KK logo, are in post #44.
For fun&fans, kernels with dsa logo in post #53!
Developer Mode in post #332.
===
The "new" (actually old, but updated) /system/etc/install-recovery.sh is: install-recovery.sh, just in case you'd have to restore it after a(n unintended) SuperSU upgrade.

BTW, in principle, unless an unlikely bug is reported, I don't reply in this thread to users who are not listed as saying thank you to this post.

I have just updated it, with DPI 210, in the OP post.
The launcher preserves all proportions, unlike the 5.1.1 (KLD) one.
What else - Google has restored an older KK phone of mine (?), and I got the animated wallpaper from then - not bad, thanks Google! (rather a lot of "anonymous" data maintained by it...)
Though it may be a simple coincidence.
I can guess that networking is handled differently from LP, so it seems that changes to services.jar are not required.
It also appears that pretending, in mtcservice (2.39), that the wired network is of type WIRELESS is wrong because KK may then ignore it when wifi is switched off in Settings (unlike LP).
I will have to postpone all tests until I recharge my car battery, it has just failed, mid summer... After 7 hours of charging, the voltage dropped under 12V? It's a goner, isn't it?
Now under 11V... and I've got a new battery!
The fixed version of
mtcservice-2.40.apk
good only for KK (not LP, v2.38 is for LP), which spoofs only two items and leaves the wired network alone. Because KK has no problem in handling dual networking, wired&wireless, and behaves exactly as I had mended networking for LP!
Just upgrade mtcservice, there is no need to reinstall the entire firmware. The OP has been updated as well, to include it in firmware.
I believe this KK version is now done, and perfect as the LP version is.

@dsa8310,
I'm have to tell you that this works amazing. I have yet to finish setting up apps, but Wifi and installing apps are amazing fast..
Decided to try this out, very nice so far. Only one issue, with 'Here We Go' navigation...the app exits immediately after the splash screen with a toast error about the SD card that goes by too fast to read.
Anyone using 'Here We Go' with any success?

There are navigation alternatives, e.g. TomTom GO (unlimited miles, latest version, floating around), with express firmware support, as detailed in post #45.

Well, KK is able to switch seamlessly between wired and wifi, with no intervention of mine, when I get home, while LP perhaps still needs more mending in this area.
So KK it is, for now. On revient toujours à son premier amour...
Tested and approved ... faster than the 5.1.1..but (I have no luck I always have a small problem) I had big problem with the music player, but after two startup, It's ok (for the moment), impossible to put the car logo on startup
very good job thank you
Ok man, I love your LP ROM, but Sygic runs like an absolute dog on it. I guess it's memory intensive and I only have 1GB cos I'm no good at soldering
Guess I'll have to do another reflash with this version.
Can I flash from your current LP version to this KK without wiping all data, or does it only work going the other way (KK->LP)?

See post #14 above, for the "recommended" navigation solution.
Do the flashing, and immediately after reboot, just before the first start-up, reenter recovery and do the wipe all.
But if you happen to already have flashed the July 23rd LP image, then the slightly newer KK recovery is already there, and so it is enough to do the installation entry with "clear all" because it also wipes all at the end, thanks to the better recovery.
