[Q] How to Backup my Firmware/baseband, Help please

Can Someone please help me with this issue. I am planning to downgrade my baseband so i can install J's gingerbread rom. However before doing this i want to have a backup of my current baseband in case something goes wrong and i want to restore my previous baseband. It will be highly appreciated if someone can help me with this issue.
Moreover the baseband included in J's rom is it for some specific region, i am on AT&T and believe the frequency bands here are 1-2-3-8.
Thanks in advance.

Firstly, this is the questions form so no need to put silly titles like "A question please", we know its a question. Titles are supposed to be descriptive of the topic.
Second, Give more information on what you/he has done and what you want to achieve.
..I'll take it you mean "restore" not "backup". If yes then you simply boot into CWM and restore the backup your "brother" made. If he didnt make a CWM backup then obviously you cant restore it, You will need to do a fresh instal or a GB rom. If you need to do a fresh install dont ask, go and read.

if he has already installed 4.0.3 , then there is no way to backup 2.3.3
if not you have 2 choice,
1. backup all the settings, apps+ data via titanium backup
2. Root your device, enter cwm and make a full nandroid backup
+1 on balas post....
2.3.3

Thank you, but please if you 'cause i'm new here !, could you explain the second step ?
OOOOOh again confusion...
if he is currently on 2.3.3, He has to root and install CWM, this can be done just flashing a kernel (CF-root see my sig) from ODIN, then from CWM he can backup his complete ROM,
with Titanium backup from market he can backup all his applications and data.
gude for flashing from ODIN, getting Downloadmod, recovery mod are in my signature

well all the instructions were already there in stickies, any way
1. find the current rom version of 2.3.3
2. find the matching cf root from the below thread
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1103399
3.flash the cf root via odin and now you will have cwm.
4. Reboot your phone , now you will have an app called cwm in you launcher.
5. enter the app and select reboot into clockworkmod.
6. make a backup
Non-English natives gonna non-English native.
Just find the ROM you want and flash it through CWM. Am I missing something?
