my vibrant is having trouble connecting to the wifi at my university. The login asks for a username and password which never used to have trouble connecting to. lately since my lagfig i think i get the error saying server communication error and i cant get to the login page. Fix my wifi demo fixed the problem but the demo is over and i'd rather not pay. If anyone could help that would be greatly appreciated.

Data connecitity does not work since yesterday. Was using Shep's ROM, tried NATF's 4.7 same result. Get a "cannot connect for unknown reason" error. Talked to att they asked me to remove the wap username and password in the connection settings, saying its not needed. Anyone has seen this problem? All the ROMs seem to have a built in username and pwd for media net.
Thanks
Thanks for the clue. Removing the user and pass worked for me. I developed the same problem yesterday as well and figured that someone here at xda would know what's going on.
Okay. So it seems like this has been asked before but nobody was sure of how to do it.
At work I can connect to a open wireless network, however there is a web login required to get connected to wifi. I have a company login/password for this but was wondering how to get past the login webpage. I've tried all the setup and options in settings > wireless. I am forced to go to a Cisco login screen and enter my username/password every time. This is a problem because every once and a while I go into a area where the building has no wifi signal and am forced to enter my credentials over and over.
A app that manages networks, or anything would be better than entering my login/password about 10 times a day. Thanks in advance wise XDA masses!
I've recently got myself a vpn account with a US vpn server. I can connect fine from my desktop always, and only when I'm on wifi from my SGS 2. I don't think it's software related, because I can connect on wifi, so in theory (I think) I should be able to do so over 3G. Am I right to suspect that T-Mobile blocks or does not support the service? Is there a work around for that? Not that it's terribly important, just wondering.
I currently run CM7 nightlies and never managed to get this to work, never had the chance to try it with stock rom.
Thanks
What error do you get when trying on 3G? I can't even connect over WiFi...
This is the error I get;
Server hung up, The username or password that you entered could be incorrect, Do you want to try again?
Username & password are ok. I know that cause it works when on wifi
.
anyone knows the reason?
Thanks

Possible blocked ports on the Tmo network?
Okay so I just unlocked the bootloader and was in the setup. I get all the way to adding an account, and every time I try to add an account of any kind, it says unable to establish a reliable connection to the server. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Btw, I am connected to wifi and when i try to add an account, it disconnects me from wifi.
Edit: Never mind, a simple reboot fixed my connection problems. Phew, I almost **** a brick. Mods can delete this post.
Hi, i'm on the shenduos 130118, and I can't connect to a secure wireless network on my campus, and I can't seem to find anyway to fix it.
the problem is that I have to give my user name to connect, but on shendu, I can only give my password.
any suggestions for a solution...
