I've read that some Vibrant phones can't handle UV and OC due to hardware. The only kernel I can run as of now is JAC 1.0. King klick's latest and JAC 1.1 freeze my phone at boot. Any possible ways to remedy this software side? Or am I stuck with jac 1.0?

What is capable on the axure ROM?.. I know Oclf is not runnable on it.. found that out the hard way.. bricked my phone.. but is JACS OC/UV usable on it? With voodoo? Or some other lagfix

Do you really need a fix?
Well i got use to having lagfix and an OC on a diff ROM and got use to the blazing speeds... dont get me wrong axure is pretty quick by itself.. but slower then what im use to

don't know about lagfixes because i never really used them, but i know people have flashed some of eugene's oc/uv kernels successfully with axura. any oc/uv kernel needs to be 2.2, though, so, for example, tw core will not work.

i'm just curious, because i've been interested in overclocking my Vibrant to 1.6, even 1.2, and i KNOW you can overclock it to 1.2 right now, but here's the problem.
i have the Auxura 2.05, and on top of that, i'm using the new and updated BlackFroyo. it works great, but i'm having a hard time figuring out how to use Auxura 2.05, BlackFroyo, and the Core 1.2GHZ from TeamWhiskey all at the same time. if there is a way, can anyone please enlighten me? i would really like to put this into effect.

Why don't you use one of eugenes kernels? Seem to work fine on most 2.2 roms.

The core kernels only work with 2.1 roms.
Yeah like the last poster said the core kernels were/are for 2.1. If your registered at TW website they have a 1.2 ghz kernel in the forums. Brahma. Im not sure we have a perfectly stable fully operational 1.2 kernel yet. TW hasn't done anything with Brahma in a little while and Eugene has pulled some of his. If you're using Axura I would just use the voodoo kernel in the OP for now. I have been all week and its pretty solid. Good performance and battery.

Okay well I have used bionix v for the past day. I was wondering if anybodys phone freezes as much as mine it wasn't a problem until I flashed the dragon kernel. Could that be the problem with it should I flash back to stock kernel? My phone freezes at least once every two hours and its just getting annoying now.

Yeah, try flashing back to stock kernel.
The stock kernel is the stock ka7 right?

its overclocked kernel to 1.4 ghz ! ur phone might not be aboe to handle that thats why it freeezez and look up on roms page to see which kernel its running on find and redownload the kernel and flash it back
I understand that I can fry my hardware overclocking to 1.4 ghz that's why I only overclock to 1.2 ghz.

Hey guys, I just recently flashed Bionix 1.3.1 Gingerbread Edition and also flashed DOW 1.4 Ghz w/Voodoo 5 through CWM. For some reason it won't let me overclock my phone, when I go into SetCPU it actually only shows my highest level at 528Mhz. Don't know what to do any help would be appreciated.

dow hasn't upgrade for a long time, try the overstock
You need to make sure to go into the options and have it autodetect speeds. It should update with possible clock speeds.
Be careful with dow though. It has been frying nand and internal sd including mine.

I'm thinking of flashing my phone with bionix-v, but was wondering which kernel I should use. On the Team Whiskey's official bionix-v page they have four compatible kernels to use. But my question is what does each of them really specialize in or do?
¤Here's the four kernels:
OverStock v1.3 by cmenard
DoW14 v1.1.1 by Morfic
Dragon v5.0 TEST1 by Ttabbal
Categorically Worthless by s0niqu3

I recommend Cmenards bullet kernel. There the best for speed and battery life.

Personally if you're not planning on OCing my preference is always CwK(keep in mind that it is no longer supported by s0niqu3). If you do plan to OC my first choice is always TB.
- DOW was the first OC kernel flashed for me and I never really had any issues with it.
- Overstock is proven and stable, included in many ROMs as stock kernel and most people prefer it to others, just personal preference really. Good luck!
DOW and overstock are both great, but keep in mind that while bionix lists tthose as the compatible kernels, you can use several other kernels, those are just tthe ones they recommend.
Also keep in mind that that post is very old so there are plenty of great New kernels

When I ran Bionix, I used Overstock. I'm always a fan of cmenard's work, and that kernel ran great.

Bullet. No question about it.
Bullet is great, you can also check out the new bali-x oc/uv capable. Have fun test em out i swear i switched kernels every 2weeks but i always get stuck on bullet kernels..just pure speed

Overstock is not bad but its dated.
