+1 here.
I removed also the marked update from last week.
Any tip any one?
It's been more than 24 hours I can't download anything...
What's wrong?
same here, everything gives 'download unsuc....'
Seems like it's a more global problem than you'd think. I have had the same problem today. Had 2 apps that wanted to update, allowed it and it says "Download unsuccessful". After that tried to DL one that I don't have installed and it starts, pauses, starts, pauses, etc.
Eventually, after ca 20 mins it finally downloads.
I think it'll get sorted out by Google
Same here.

I too removed the market update and everything works again.

today i was able to update titanium backup, but it was slower than other times (stuck on "starting download")
worked after removing market update, but now I don't see the remaining updates on apps, hope it realize sooner or later that I have my pending upgrades.
Same here.. clearing cache didnt work - think mine was to do with a Paid Ap trying to update which has now vanished.
Decided easier to wait for 2.1 than troubleshoot further..
Repair via pc companion and it worked
Sent from my X10i using XDA App
Okay, I just tried and mine finally works okay.
Really wouldn't want to repair the unit just so I could wipe it again when 2.1 comes out
same here!
Market not downloading after the Update!
Is there a way to get it working again without removing the latest Market Update? I realy want to keep it!
Remove the update, it'll install again after some time (this time correctly) as I understand it
I do not have an option to remove market update in the market section of manage applications. There is a separate one underneath market titled market updater. I am working on market version 1669 is this the latest version?
Please no derisory comments, im not the most tech savvy!

I have the same market. I just cleared cleared the cache, restarted the phone and after a few hours everything went back to normal. That's the only advice I can give you since I had the same problem
Sent from my nX10i using XDA App
Uninstalled update... Nothing happened.
Guess I'll have to wait for the eclair update...
it's not instantaneous. It takes awhile to work again
I had same problem with girlfriends x10. Fixed it by going to:
Settings>applications> manage applications> market>uninstall market updates. Button should be at very bottom of info page. This cleared things up in a hurry. Was back up and dl'ing apps a minute later with no problems!
This will send market back to old state. Does not remove any application updates, just changes the market software
Sent from my SGH-T959 using XDA App
did also work on my X10!
deinstalled market update in application-management -> downloads worked
market updated again automatically -> downloads still worked
but 2 days ago i had to repeat this...the downloads didn't start, like before...
same thing: updates deinstalled, downloads work...let's see, for how long i need to do that...
@SE: update?!?!

It hangs for a few seconds then says "download unsuccessful"
To follow up I have cleared data in market through app management, factory reset, and disabling mobile data and renabling it.
One last update it's randomly kinda fixed... Some are downloading others aren't. At this point I am going to assume it is a server-side problem and get some sleep. Will update when I wake up.

Nope it isn't downloading anything. Any clues guys?
EDIT: I'm really losing my mind over this. I've searched all over the internet. I've tried clearing data on many apps, but cannot find the "google apps" I'm supposed to clear. If I download through my pc (Send it from the android market to my phone through pc interface) it works just fine...
Okay I've removed my sd card and lots more. I started a new google email as I heard that worked and it did, but everything that I've bought is gone... So obviously this has something to do with my current gmail address... I think... Any clues?
Is it just me or does the new Android Market suck. Don't mind the addition of content but the thing is just slow now. Once it loads, trying to go to my apps or other screens brings up the "Loading..." prompt and it seems to sit there forever. Never had this problem on the old one.
Plus, sometimes it will tell me apps need to be updated, I will go click on them, and no update button. Just "Open" and "Uninstall"?? It does it opposite too. Some apps will have an update but it won't tell me. If I go look at the app it won't show that an update is available until I click on it. Then sometimes I have to update the thing twice just to get it to take.
Granted this could be an issue with Juggs update.zip file, Titanium, or something else but I'll put my money on the Market app.
I'm runninga completely stock MoPho and I get the same market "false" updates. I think the MoPho market needs a serious update. I'm almost to the point where I'll only use appbrain. Hopefully this is on their long list of things to fix!
I experience the same issues, it's the app.
Yes
..i downloaded market older version but it always update back to the current version.....suks
Moto photon
The same thing happens on all android phones, not just the photon.
Just go into settings and manage apps and uninstall the update. If your rooted you can delete the market updater.apk

Happens to me daily. I just click update all and that solves the problem fora day or so
Yes new market is junk... i got an apk off 4shared and permanently replaced it via root explorer..Old market works like a champ loads fast way better

So my market has been abysmal recently. Most of the time downloads fail and now when I try to install something I click install and it just gets stuck on loading. Already rebooted and cleared data.
Why is this happening and is there amy way to fix?

Factory reset usually fixes it but um try finding an apk to the old market and pushing it to /system/app. Maybe thatll help
I'm going to have to do that. This sucks

clearing cache works for me but its a pita. With the amount of complaints going on you would think it'd be fixed by now. At least I can see all my apps.

I've found that uninstalling updates from the application manager fixes all of my 3.1.5 woes. It will eventually update back to current release, but until the market is updated again, this is the best fix i've found.
Also, if you have more than one GMail account on your phone, go to 'my apps' and make sure you've got your main acct. set as the market acct.

same here. I clear it all the time and the uncheck admob, just because. My market hangs all the time and sometimes will not show my apps installed.
Has this been strictly on wifi? I'm having the same symptoms in the market but I've narrowed it down to my wifi being garbage and not holding a connection for any app.
I'm still having the problem today - and on the Sprint network, not WiFi. Other apps work fine, just Market sucks.
Same issue here. Market hangs & won't update apps sometimes. Other times shows an update available but there won't be. Really annoying.
Yep, I've been having market issues since the new market. It really is a pain.
The new market blows chunks, I pushed the old one back. It works well and shows what it needs to show.
I installed the new 3.2.0 market on my Flyer (gotta have root, and the Photon not rooted(yet)). And I haven't had a single problem. It's pretty freakin' sweet. I have I'll post the link in a sec...
Edit: BAMM!

Same here. To fix my problem, I used titanium backup to freeze the marketupdater.apk and then uninstalled the market updates from the applications menu. Now I am on the old market and all is well. I am wondering if the new market (version 3.2) fixes all these problems??
I never have any issues with any other apps after I restore via CWM. The XDA App though is always a problem. I bought the Premium version through Amazon and use it now as I'm on AOKP. When I was on UnNamed before, I had a ICS themed version from one of the theme devs. I still have that apk.
I recently went back for just an hour to my UnNamed backup and now I'm back into AOKP. I cannot for the life of me get the app to reinstall. The shorcut says 'App isn't installed' and whether I try to install the themed version or the version from Amazon, both come back and say 'X Application not installed'.
I see no reference of it anywhere in my apps list and no option to remove it. Even TiBu won't restore it - it stalls out. No apk in /data/app.
Any ideas?
[EDIT] I went through via Root Explorer and removed everything I could find doing a search for 'XDA' that looked like it might be some rogue file left behind and removed it. Yeah that did nothing.
Oh and one last thing, this has been an ongoing issue from when I was on UnNamed as well. Back whenever I'd do a complete wipe and restore, XDA would always need to be reinstalled. I can't think of ONE time where it worked perfect.
I am unable to get XDA premium to install after flashing an ics rom. I even went back to Gingerbread and it still wont install. Ive just settled on using the free version.

Yeah I went back to GB last night and was unable to install my ICS Premium themed version (apk on sd card) but the Premium version on Amazon installed fine. This issue has me baffled beyond belief...
So I finally found the source of the problem. Because I bought the App from Amazon, each and every time I do a restore, the Amazon Store info for whatever reason gets screwed up. The system thinks it's still installed yet it's nowhere to be found.
The long and short of it is that you have to 'Clear Data' in 'Manage Applications' for the Amazon App. After doing this, log back in and the XDA App then shows back up as 'Install' instead of 'Open'. Pretty screwy but it works.
Hi guys and geeks, its time to work your magic and fire up your amazing brain cells. I am totally new here and its my first post, so please dont be that hard at me if ill screw something up
So my problem is after a 2 weeks usage of international version of my SGS3 i got a big problem. It started totally from nothing, to be specific it stopped through day.
Yesterday morning i was updating 1 app from Google play and i left my phone on desk.
I got back to it in evening and found out that 4 apps cannot be updated from unknown reason. I tried manual start of download- nothing, it will not start to download. just rolling the bar. I also found that i cant download any new app from GPlay.
I made a factory reset of phone today. Set it up, and its ready to go. IT STILL CANT DOWNLOAD THAT APPS. Why? Wifi is working normally (ONLY WIFI), can browse websites and so on.
Anyone help ??
Goto settings/Application manager/Google Play Store and select clear data and cache then see if it works.
Just google server problem mybe. Just wait

I cleared data cache already, and it doesnt worked. Server problem? HUH.... maybe.... Though i highly doubt its server problem because i was asking a few my friends with android phones about this and their market is ok.
So got any ideas? Cuz im now stuck with empty phone after fact.reset and i cant work on it though.
Bump! Any suggestions?
Goto App manager again and uninstall updates.
Nope, i also combined it with phone restart. It cant download apps or update them.
go to settings, accounts and sync, remove google account. Add account again and it should work.

Did it twice now. Result? Phone likes to roll bars. But thats all he wants to do. Still cant start download.
So i contacted Samsung Customer Support about this and i described it at whole. The guy said he would do exact same thing and i have done good. He gave an advice of taking out the battery for 15 mins - it would reset the device and pull it in and try. Still nothing.
Any idea out there? Because if i will not be able to do more, im sending this damn phone to for service repair because i have 2 years warranty. This is truly f*cking unbelievable. My first Android device. Upgraded from HTC HD2. 600€ phone. Crap.
Had a similar problem a few days back where it just gave an error message. Went into settings / all apps and cleared data from Google services framework. Rebooted and it was fixed.
Edit: just remembered, the above solution may have helped but it didn't completely fix my problem. Had to reboot into recovery, the in the advanced tab had to run 'fix permissions ', then all was fine. Only thing I could think of that may have caused the problem was flashing and testing cm10 before restoring my backup.
Sent from my GT-I9300 using xda premium
Tried Google Service Framework, didnt helped.
So i got into that recovery mode but there was no advanced tab. Only something like reboot now, wipe cache, wipe partition, factory reset .. Tried Wipe cache, and so on... Didnt helped....
Check your memory. Make sure there's at least 600-700mb left. My S3 kept giving me update errors whenever my internal memory fell below 500mb

Bro, no offense, but i have clean phone after factory reset with around 400mb of data in it.

Well if you want to start fresh, flash a CF root kernel and wipe cache, dalvik, system and then a factory reset. Flash a new rom after that. Don't reboot your recovery while doing this because you've wiped 'system' . What ever problems you had should have gone. I normally follow this procedure to make sure for a full wipe
Hope this helps

Sir, i have truly no idea what are you talking about, im just getting that i have to load onto phone some loader and then flash some new rom which im 100% not going to do since i have fresh 2 year warranty and im not planning to break it.
I have already decided. Im calling authorized service center about details for sending my phone to get repaired. Either they will fix it, or ill get a new phone. Only good and Better.
So after few frakking days im back...
SUDDENDLY after 2 days of my last post it started working again like a charm. Downloaded most of the apps.
Then next day, it was gone again... Stopped working...
Also now its error 495 but after a very long time of rolling the bar ,like 10 mins.
AAH MY GOD HELP ME PLEASE WITH THIS!
IM totally absolutely desperate !!!!

Hi, I had the same problem as you and I 'fixed' it by Stopping the 'Downloading' rolling bar and then resuming it. I found that fixes it
Let me know if this works :good:
I wanted to try it but there is no pause button though, look for yourself

All right, there has to be a way to get this working since I had the same problem too
Try this :
Turn your phone off and on
Open Play Store and go into the screen where it says "X Updates available" and they are listed in rows
Click Update All and then the blue loading line starts to animate. Wait for a few seconds then click the X next to the first item that is downloading to stop it
Click Download/Resume again
It should start downloading.
The above steps worked for me, I got the S3 day before yesterday and I came across this problem for about 10 minutes 'til I did the steps above
Let me know how it goes :fingers-crossed:
