So i've recently been looking into QualComms new Augmented Reality SDK and was wondering if there would be a possibility to convert it for use in multiple non-qual comm phones. I've installed their SDK and successfully got the AR working on my friends Nexus One and have to say it is a very nice AR. It has depth perception as well as the ability to actually rotate around the AR object and it show the multiple dimensions of it. I would love to get this working on a multiple phone platform rather then have it limited to phones with a qual comm processor. The problem i see is that a lot of what happens is it makes a lot of Qual Comm native api calls. I'm not sure exactly how we would convert it but if anyone has any ideas, Throw them out there!
BTW, i'm not a very savvy when it comes to Android / Java programming, however I am making my way through it . I do program in C/C++/C# which are very similar to Java.
Thanks!
If you want to check it out heres the link:

Does anyone have any thoughts on this?
I've read that Layar will reach WP7 with direct access to the camera for its augmented reality app, but when???
I install Wikitude but still haven't tried
Any other suggestions?
Hi! I want to know is there any kind of program that can make an Augment Reality code and to input the code into an application for Android? Something like a generator.
I want to create an app like Nokia City Lens. Something like this:

Thanks in advance!
Hello there, While Developing the Perfect AR App you have to Mark these things
1. Unique design
2. Necessary 3D models
3. Pictures
4.Text files
5. Powerful Effects
6. Scientific visualization and 3d Modeling
7. 3D image recognition and tracking
I am an AR APP Developer at Game App Studio where we provide the top Augment Reality Reality Apps Development Solutions with These Kind of AR App development Tools:
Vuforia
ARToolKit
Google ARCore
Apple ARKit
Maxst
Wikitude
As an AR App Developer, I am recommending you the Google ARCore for your Android AR app. While as an AR App developer, We follow the Process
We Figure out a great idea to enhance your business. Competitor analysis is a good way to handle it.
Explore the market of existing SDKs and platforms for augmented reality development. We pick the one that fits your idea, budget, and expertise. For example, platforms like Vuforia, Wikitude, and ARToolKit require a profound knowledge of C++, Java, or C#. If programming languages are not your cup of tea, opt for an easier solution – tools like Blippar or Aurasma are an excellent choice for beginners.
Already you that AR usually needs the presence of 3D objects. You can download existing models or learn how to make them yourself.
Create a 2D tracker, which is a specific picture that gets placed on a surface and scanned by AR-aided devices.
Create a unique design and prepare all the necessary 3D models, pictures, text files, and data.
Put all the elements together on a platform of your choice.
Hi..
Can anyone guide me to build a simple augmented reality application using eclipse Android project
What technologies/platforms can I use to create an Augmented Reality Based Social Network that runs on android?
So I came up with an idea to create a social network based on AR, the basic idea is that people will be able to see content filled (images videos etc) 3d balls around them posted by other users in a specific radius (10-20km radius) these balls will float around the specific radius in real-time. So its basically a location based AR social network. There are more features but this is the basic idea. Since I'm new to programming and stuff I'm seeking some guidance on what technologies/platforms/languages can I use to build all aspects of this app for android for example the frontend, backend, the AR aspect of the app? Can unity be used to achieve this? if yes what sdks for AR can be used to do that?
Finally, I'm not planning to build a full fledged working application, just a basic prototype, any help and guidance will be useful. Thank you.
