If even after Hard Reset your device keep turning off an on; it seems to bee a hardware problem sir.
but in some times it stay on after some restarting.is there any other way?
with restart problems always check the battery pins carefully.
what do you mean check pin?please describe it for me.i think pins are correct.
have you tryed reflash rom??
maybe you've deleted some sistem file!
pins should look like THIS
but they bend easily, especially if you lift the battery out perpendicular to the side, because they catch on the slightly raised plastic edge that surrounds the connector plates on the battery.

in my computer there is a virus that make my text bold.after a day that i had connected my phone to my computer this happened.do you think that this virus is problem?
If it is still under warranty, send it to your nearest HTC service center.
it is not warranty and it is very expensive to take it to my nearest HTC service center.because they told me how much it costs to reinstall a new Rom

Hello,
Saturday I went out, my HD2 only had like 5% battery life. I used it till it went black. The day after I wanted to recharge my phone but when I plug the microusb in to the wall charger, no led lights come up. When I press the power nothing happens. Stays black, it's like a dead stone now. I did not flash the phone for the past 2 months, it's running android already a long time now.
This morning when I pull the battery out and put it back in and push the power button then a VERY short vibration comes out of the phone but then nothing anymore the screen and leds stay dark. If I try it a second time nothing happens. So I think the battery is 99.9% empty and I can't charge it anymore through the microUSB. The only thing I can think of what happened is saterday I took a bath and my phone was lying on the edge of the bath, it did not fell in the bath offcourse. But there was alot of humidity in the bathroom because of no ventilation and warm water. The phone was working perfectly after the bath and stayed working untill the battery went to 0% when I was going out. Is my microUSB port water damaged? The stickers inside the phone are still white. (luckily). Anyone has an idea how to fix it or what the problem could be?
Remove the battery.
Connect to the power supply.
After a couple of minutes, plug in the battery (while the phone is still connected to the mains supply).
Ok I tried it.
Took battery out. Connected to usb power cable.
Waited +- 5 minutes. Inserted battery -> nothing happens.
Won't turn on, no led lights.
BUT I noticed a strange thing.
If NOT connected to power cable : Take battery out, reinsert. Power on, -> some milliseconds of vibration.
If connected to power cable : Take battery out, reinsert. Power on, -> nothing, no vibration.
So if it is connected to power cable phone acts completely dead when I reinsert battery and push power button. But if it's not connected then when reinserting the battery and I push the power button then a very short vibration is felt.
Weird ... is there something shortcircuiting the phone when connected to powercable??
Ok,
I found someone on my work who has an HD2 like me. So I tried to put a 70% charged battery in my HD2. Guess what ... same result. A little vibration and it stops .
So now I know it is not the battery. It's the phone itself. I've put it now in a bowl of rice and hope next morning it will be magically revived. Maybe when I took a bath saturday there formed some micro water bubbles inside the phone and it still isn't gone by now? I am out of ideas. If this rice thing doesn't work I'll send it to HTC repair centre. They won't notice my hspl because they can't even turn on the phone with a charged battery. I'll guess they'll swap the mobo .. again. My previous repair was because my HD2 was in a constant Carkit mode (also a hardware issue). Sigh
Can you get into Bootloader Mode (Press and hold the Volume Down button, then tap the Power button)?
Nope, it acts like dead meat, even with a charged battery I could try from my friend his hd2. My battery worked in his phone. So it is my phone who is broken.
Think some hardware is busted ... Maybe some circuit is broken ? I just don't know . Now they must repair it for the second time. The first time I got the "phone is always in carkit modus" issue which is also hardware related. I hope they will not make a problem to give me yet another motherboard and yet another IMEI . That will be my 3rd IMEI on this phone then.
Hope they pick it up tomorrow .
K Update to this post.
I've received my HD2 back from HTC repair with a new motherboard / IMEI.
All is working now again .
I am afraid it can happen again . This is my 3th IMEI / mobo now on this phone after owning it a year and 2 months.
They now also didn't put a new "VOID" sticker on the screw
Also no "water detector" anymore.
It seems like they are saying to me, now if the phone breaks again, you have no warranty anymore. It's not my fault the mobo suddenly dies . I doubt it they just "forgot" to put new void stickers on.
Never take cell phone in the bathroom.. especially if its a touchscreen.. the steam from hot water gets accumulated inside the phone and ruins it. My friend damaged his 2 handsets already.. now he doesnt take it in the bathroom anymore

There are water dector labels inside the phone and if they forgot the VOID label then that is their problem. You have twice returned the phone and by replacing the motherboard they have admitted that the problem is theirs. So they already have a history of faulty phones from you and since it has been repaired by them, then they would need to show a record of placing a viod label back on the phone.

Well I also think that was the cause the phone died later that evening.
I think the phone went dead sometime that night because of the water inside the phone. Luckily the water detection labels where still white .
I never will let it inside the bathroom again .
As for the void sticker problem, I will contact them to ask why they didn't put on new stickers. If they don't respond I saw you can buy such stickers on ebay .
Hello all,
I've been using lumia 920 for only 2 months now, and unfortunately it got drenched with water after it fell on my kitchen sink.
Same day, i could see the screen being filled with water.. but after a while screen went black.. but the phone is able to boot and the bottom 3 keys are responsive.. i have around 2 gb of data and dont know how to take backup of the same.
unfortunately, i have setup a security lock.. so when i connect the usb cable, i am able to see a empty folder getting mounted. is there a way to remote desktop and unlock the phone and get the backup ? help please..
i had taken the phone to nokia care center in mumbai, they told me they are not authorized to open the 920.. only its serviceable in delhi center. and just to open the phone, the charge is a whopping Rs14000. and to add to it, the other costs if any hardware damage has happened..
my phone is as good as dead now..
Any help is greatly appreciated.. !!
Your mistake was turning it on while still wet. Had you turned it off as soon as it got wet and dunked it rice other simialr material for a week it would have dried out and you most likely could use it for soemtime till corrosion sets in. However now the electronics are being fried with each use and there is no way to retrieve the data if the device is locked and you cannot unlock it.
Actually, yes it was my mistake for the first 2 days..
And now i am unable to turn it off.. . even when i hold the power button for 10 seconds.. and slide down.. it doesnt turn off.
i was wondering if there was any app (similar to we had remote display in windows mobile where we could access phone from desktop pc).
major mistake is not using backup at least once a week... is not hard, simple use automatic copy media content when connect phone to PC and that all... old wisdom sayings "every school cost money" (in that case data).
if phone not complete boot you cant access via File Explorer on PC

Not without it booting. You said you have a pass code installed. Unless that pass code is entered there is no way to access the phone by any means rather through display or USB and remote. The pass code is there if used to protect the data on the phone from any form of access.
I have put my phone immersed in rice and its completely dried now. the phone boots and connects to my pc.. but empty device folder.. as security lock is enabled. screen is black..
if there was a possible way to take a backup in this condition.. (i dont know know if an app like mymobiler for win mob 6.5 exists for lumia 920.. ).
i am thinking now to give this phone to nokia care center and say my phone went dead last night.. and i am getting blank screen.. i have a hope that they replace faulty h/w freee of cost..

When it gets water damaged you should remove the battery immediately and you should've waited for it to dry for at least 48 hrs. You shouldn't turn the phone on immediately. Now about the pictures I assume it's in the sd card? Most of the sd card today are water-resistant ones so you should be able to recover them by plugging the sd card through an micro sd adapter then to your computer.
As for the phone if you're on warranty you can try bringing it to a samsung service center for repair. If not you now have a paperweight device or just pay for the repair.

Then i'm afraid the internals have been damaged. Salt water may have corroded the parts inside.
I don't know how you can retrieve the photos inside the internal sd card maybe other users here know how so if you can wait others might respond but in the meantime i suggest that you bring it to samsung for repair and ask if they can retrieve it.

Can you see it on the windows explorer though? It should appear there as well. If you can't then it might be pattern/pin/password protected and since you can't make the screen to work then sadly you won't be able to retrieve them. Just send it to Samsung.

You said on the OP that you need USB Debugging to be turned on meaning it's off this whole time but now you're saying it's on?
I've no idea of what software/program you can use. And I repeat just send it to Samsung for repair they have the proper tools and they might help you retrieve your photos.

lol okay sorry I misunderstood. But like i said earlier the internals might have been damaged that includes the micro-usb port that's why it can't be detected by windows. Sure it can detect the current for it to be charged but the component inside the phone for it to be detected by windows might have been damaged. Really don't know anymore sorry.
There are multiple identical same question posts that may help.

Firstly I'd like to say that I stupidly dropped my phone in a bowel of water yesterday.
Following this ,I immediately turned the phone off, blew into the charging port to hopefully remove any water. and left it standing overnight. Then in the morning plugged it in to charge , which worked.
The following day (today) my phone will not charge when turned on, only charging when turned off.
I have tried multiple chargers, restarting the phone, holding the lock and volume button for 15 seconds and starting in fast boot mode, ect.
I am not sure what to do, possibly I need to get a new charging port and replace it myself, or with aid from a friend.
I cant find anything online regarding the issue with USB C phones, all of the instructions were for mini usb phones and they suggested bending the pins back into place in the phone, not sure if this s any help with USB C.
Should i leave the phone to stand in rice, over night, should I open it up and lightly apply a heat gun to it to evaporate any water in the phone, should I replace the charging port ?
Any advice would be greatly appreciated, not sure if this is the right place to ask,
-side note, I dont need anyone telling me i'm an idiot for dropping the phone in water, I already know this to be true.

Hi Narayanan
Thanks for your response, I will try doing this tonight.
Regarding the ROM, I am not familiar with the process, Is there a way I can backup my Phone and system settings ect, and then do this.
How does one install their ROM again, is it simply a factory reset ?
I am a newbie to these things,
-Kind regards

Thankfully I had twrp installed and had a latest firmware inside . So I reflashed my rom again .
You try factory reset . Hopefully it will work.

the phone fell in a bucket of water, instantly, took it out and stopped using for a while, but didn't even turn off. i have the same problem, the device is charging when switched off. it also was charging throug twrp now it does not work. i dont have a torx screw, getting it during lockdown is also impossible. i changed back to miui from lineage, doesnt seem to fix the issue. still does not charge.
what should i do? any help will be appreciated.
Poco F1 dead And not booting recovery and bootloader and it also got water damage
Unfortunately I flashed 1 Rom with Mi flash And Flash Another rom with twrp without formatting data, vendor etc then phone got stuck in twrp and when I try to boot to recovery then my phone was not booting and bootloader also not working and then by mistake phone fall into water it was working for (30 Minutes) then afterwards phone switch off and did not turn on I tried to charge phone but it is also not working plz give me solution and now it is lockdown also all shops are closed :-/
At night I was left with 90% battery . But at morning I found my phone on floor dead. I tried to open it , but it shows empty battery. Then I tried charging then MI logo came and again showed empty battery and phone is not charging. There is no external damage to the phone as I used a rugged cover. What can I do now? I tried force reboot , fastboot etc. But no response , just MI logo and empty battery while charging.
You need to Rma the phone as internal circuits are probably damaged
As there is no proof of external damage or proof you dropped your phone there is a big chance they will give you a new one

Why do you not have warranty?
Circuits may not be damaged. Most probably, the fall might have loosened some of the connections. So if you really have no warranty, you need to open up the phone, check the connectors, especially the battery connector and clean and refit them. Check some videos on opening up the phone and use proper tools. Don't force anything.
