Does anyone have any idea which png in com.htc.resources.apk gives you the black bg around the recent apps section? I'm going for a completely transparent notification window and I can't seem to find it. Maybe its an .xml that determines the color... Not sure There is a .png called "recent_apps_bar_background.png" but making this transparent has no effect. ITS ALL THAT'S LEFT! lol

I would like to have a transparent notification bar then I looked inside my framework-res.apk and I finded some png that looks related to status bar (status_bar*.png and statusbar*.png).
I edited these images adding transparency and flashed framework-res.apk to my phone (getting no errors).
Nothing has changed, do anybody know what images have to be changed to modify status bar?
Thx
The files related to the statusbar are .9.png files so they need the draw 9 patch and i dont know how to so that so just google it

Hi, thanks for reply!
So do you mean all status*.9.png images?
I have the same issue but it is not with the files. I found if I switch to the system theme in the theme chooser all my changes are there. Does anyone know where to edit a theme to make changes to the frame work?
if your still looking for transparent statusbar, you can use my cooked rom which allows transparent statusbar
The systemui.apk has to be modified for a transparent statusbar.
Search on xda or google how to do this.
Or use the advised ROM from above.

Wondering what the best way was to replace dropdown background. I've been using ninja morph but it take so many steps. Wanted to know it their was an easier way.
Here are a few dropdowns I've made, I did not do any of the art work and take no credit for it, all I did was edit it to look good on a transparent background. Let me know what you think.
All have transparent background taken with a grey or black wallpaper applied.

I installed the transparent pulldown and 5 bar signal mod for the new bamf sense 3 RC1. When I pulled down the status bar, I noticed it is a dark background with dark text so it is not legible. I looked at the files in the zip and saw that it was just systemUI.apk and framework-res.apk so i copied them out of the rom and pushed them to my phone via adb. I had many ill effects and had to copy my backup on to the phone.
Does anyone know a way to make the pull down text white so it is legible? or even get the regular pull down back so the black text can be seen. Please let me know.
This is an awesome rom. I have found zero flaws with the rom itself. Definitely my daily driver.

thanks for you answer. i've downloaded a flashable zip of dna stock rom.
i've found weather icons in com.htc.weather.res.apk. i wanted to use that but are very strange jpg's, because they have a strange background (filled of a mix of colours as in the attached image) instead of transparent background. do you know why?

Jpg's will always have a white or colored background. You can achieve a transparent background with a png for example.
