How are you getting these quadrant scores? That's not just from flashing 1.5.1 is it? Are you tweaking the rom somehow? I have SetCPU but have no idea how to use it. Any suggestions?

we keep doing the "share you quadrant scores" thread...

oh Yeah !
But how is the battery life?
what is the percentage battery drain per hour when in stand by.
i have stock froyo and the battery in standby drains 1% every one hour, which is 0.33% battery drain per hour. which i think is amazing

Im start checking scores after gingerbread ; ext4 mod
This thread might as well be "let's see who can smoke their device" first.

gingerbread wont change scores that much its mostly cosmetic changes - if anything its marginally slower (on nexus one at least).
and i can get 2800ish usually

I've set Set Cpu to max and still avg 1650....what am I doing wrong?

I have steve's 1.5.1 running at full speed( 1.267 ghz)....but not really averaging more than 1700 on quadrant..
in comparison a few days back when I was on 1.5.0 i used it get it up till around 1960...
anybody knows why??

I used to get the highest scores scaling setcpu on performance on 1.5.0..
I do the same for 1.5.1. but am just avging 1700 at max...
however on linpack as well as nenamark I can achieve slightly better on 1.5.1 than 1.5.0

Ext2 is a linux partition, u must partition ur micro sd card to have atleast 1gig of ext2 space (ive got 1.9gigs) and install streakdroid 1.5.1 and ur done dont forget to flash with performance/lag fix

Hey friend I have re-edited build.prop and also removed the unwanted apps.
i have disabled the window animations. It helped me to lower CPU usage and more battery life.
if you want to get high quadrant scores please set the CPU on performance.

Froyo 2.2 (318) + performance fix (older 315), 998MHz, scored 1600+ quadrant
OC'ed to 1190MHz, 1960+ quadrant

I have steves 1.5.1 rom and I only get mid 1200s

But the ext2 perfmod you mention doesnt save settings after reboot, not to mention the FCs you get from most apps... It doesnt work! ....or does yours not have these issues....?

i get 850 with standard O2 streak on 2.2 i didn't realize it can go faster

the only issue I get is the clockworkmod for some reason gets wiped and replaced with the original... other than that, no fc or troubles on reboot

Random sluggishness?

Guys,
I am running the latest community rom with 1.2 oc and a not so aggressive undervolt. I randomly get sluggish performance. Try and fling/scroll and it will hang for two moments and then move.
Any idea why?

Sounds like memory management. A good unobtrusive app to use is process monitor widget, free in market. Let's you see & record what's going on.

[Q] CM7 + Franco's Kernel???

can i flash franco's kernel on cm7? and if so, will there be a significant boost on my phone's performance or the other way around?? thanks!
Check this topic mate this question already had a place here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1097187
yes you can . i did and i like the performance
there seems to be a battery drain issue on mine though.
Install setcpu set governer to savezed. If you are using 3g for data than battery consumption is higher.

I have been using CM7 with franco's kernel since yesterday and the battery consumption is much higher.
I think i need to shift to a froyo rom like openoptimus etc.

I am getting around 20 hours with 2g data on continuously and around 1% overnight. Pretty good for me. If you want to switch to Froyo, right now devoid.franco is pretty good.

Can you give me an alternate link for devoid ?
Right now, how can i decrease my CPU speed in CM7 ??

This is the only link i can get.
You mean frequency? You have to use an app called SetCPU which is free for xda members.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=505419
You can choose the governor and Frequency.

That the tweaks are included means you don't need to do anything to enable them.
No kernel requires any sd card partitioning.
Yes, you can flash it via CWM. Just wipe cache and battery stats first.

If you have root you can do things that make your device faster
(Setcpu, chang some system parameters and such stuff)
But just root dont make your archos faster
How would you say the speed is with setcpu think I can OC It to 1.2

You can only do this with the OC Kernel
Normally you can set to 1Ghz but this enough for the most apps or games
The speed acceleration is amazing with setcpu try it
Thank you for the cleancut answer I'll be sure to hit Thanks as soon as I go on the comp .

You can find here some numbers on the overclock results.

This has been made on an Archos 70 IT, but you can expect pretty much the same on the 101 IT.

CM7 battery

Had CM7 on my phone and it was beautiful except my battery dropped like a rock. No rogue apps when testing with OS monitor. Used voltage control, cfg, conservative uv 50mv all levels between 100 - 1000. No oc. Am I missing something? Any suggestions? I need the battery to last more than 5-6 hrs. which is what I was getting. Posted this in cm7 thread but it moves along so fast that I received only one response so far.

Using supercharger script. If your on the stable CM7 Build download busybox from market and install 1.7.x version
Then use supercharger. Or it won't work
If you use glitch kernel theirs a recovery where you can enable screenstate which changes the governor when the screen is off.

1. Do a google search for v6 supercharger script you will be directed to it's thread on xda by zeppelinrox
2. Reboot to recovery-> find menu choice that say GLITCH. Turn on
Screenstate scaling and choose your sleep governor. profit.
Forgot to add v6 supercharger is not necessary if using glitch as most of the same mods are included in the kernel.

Hey, try to move so many apps as you possibly can to Your sd card. (have at leas 100mb free, and 50mb of RAM) Also check out if You haven't set any option for max number of background processes.
With Rom toolbox you can manage RAM and chooose which application/process must be designated
