Vibration intensity for Handcent mirrors that of Haptic Feedback - Vibrant Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Nero v3, stock voodoo kernel.
I've been responding to texts fairly late recently and I realized that the vibration intensity for my handcent notifications is the same intensity as that for haptic feedback. I keep the latter very low because... well, I don't think I need a reason other than that's what I prefer.
Previously, I haven't had this issue. Can anyone on the same ROM/kernel confirm that they are also having this problem? If not, does anyone know what needs tone done to restore the full vibration intensity for Handcent notifications and maintain low intensity for haptic feedback?

Maybe my wording is a bit odd.
Haptic feedback's vibration intensity is set low.
Handcent notification vibration intensity is the same as haptic feedback.
What do I need to do to force high intensity notification vibration and keep low intensity haptic feedback.

[Q] Change notification vibration intensity (back to default)

As long as I've owned my phone (~ 1 month), my notification vibrate has been great. If it was on a hard table, it was loud enough to scare the crap out of me, but more importantly, I could easily feel it in my pocket. Recently, apparently after turning off the notification vibrate for a little while (so that I could leave it on a table without jumping), the vibration intensity is extremely weak. I makes a small buzz on a table, and I can't even begin to feel it in my pocket unless the screen is facing out (which sounds like a great way to get a cracked screen).
Changing the vibration intensity under the settings only changes the haptic feedback intensity, not the notification intensity. I can't find a setting for that anywhere - has anyone else had this problem? Anyone know the solution?
apparently (from what i've gathered) the haptic feedback intensity controls the vibration intensity for the ENTIRE phone. So make sure your intensity is all the way up before you turn off haptic feedback otherwise your vibration will be extremely weak.
I saw that looking through old threads. I usually have haptic feedback on and the intensity set at about halfway, but maxing it has no effect on notifications.
One other note - it seems that my incoming call vibration is strong. Unfortunately, I'm not entirely sure if it had dropped and is now back to where it was, or if it stayed at the same level while my notification level dropped.
Opposite Effect
Anyone confirm this or is there some other way to adjust the global vibration? Mine is way too strong and rattles the volume buttons on my phone. My girlfriend and her two daughters also have Vibrants and I've compared mine with all of theirs. Mine is extremely intense. My girlfriend joked about borrowing it for a while.
Anyone know of anything I can do? A service menu or something? I've been searching and this thread is the best I could find.

Change vibration intensity?

Hello
I have had my phone for a few months now, and until a couple of days ago the intensity of vibrations for alarms and text/call alerts has been very good. However suddenly it has dropped very low. Now I can't feel texts at all, and I can no longer use my phone as a vibrating alarm.
Could someone help me please?
Settings -> Sound -> Vibration intensity

That's for Haptic Feedback ! Jeez.
Thanks Bruflot, that affects all my vibrations.
I know this thread is older, but it also depends on the ROM
e.g. in AOKP you can find vibration intensity under System Settings - Device Options - Haptic

Low haptic feedback

hey guys...I have a strange situation here..I used cm9 for couple of day with allright haptic feedback. I reverted(backup) with CWM to my initial 2.3.5 firmware and now I have Haptic Vibration Feedback issue. Now, I installed the stock firmware with ODIN. I still got the Issue..Tried wipe cache...data/user everything.
Thanks for helping.
Go to Settings -> Sound, make sure Haptic Feedback is checked on and Vibration intensity is properly set (at the biggest point).

Click to collapse
Thanks for your advice, but it`s obvious that i checked that cuz I get low vibration when writing on the keyboard or pressing the buttons.
When I move the Vibration intensity scroll I get the good feedback but after pressing oke...I get the low vibration again.

Lower Vibration Intensity? (CM9 hotsauce)

Would anybody happen to know how to lower the vibration intensity in CM9? It's kind of odd, but whenever the vibration is on, it's so loud that it rattles something up near the earpiece and it's just annoying when it's at it's highest setting. I've recently been using ROM's such as Alliance and Padawan and they both had a setting for Vibration Intensity in the settings and you were able to slide them to your desired intensity. But now that I switched to CM9 I kind of miss that feature. Lowering the intensity about 2 levels using the slider was perfect for me because it didn't vibrate loud enough to cause the phone to rattle.
Is there a way to edit the intensity settings for vibration in CM9? Perhaps through the build.prop or some other method? Thank you to whoever replies.

Notification vibration intensity

I was wondering if anyone had the same problem or knows of a solution. Is there a way to control, through settings or an app you can download, the vibration intensity for notifications and calls. I've noticed at work that if I have my phone on my desk or pocket that the vibration is clearly audible and noticeable by people around me.
I've tried Vibe but it seems to only be for calls and focuses on vibration pattern.
I'm running HOX+ stock and unrooted.
