Hello
I have a problem with my X10 mini. Im trying to unlock its bootloader, but im stuck.
In the tutorial, it says that i have to turn my phone off. Im like, fine... But the phone turns on again by it self. Only happens when the USB is plugged in.
I cant continue installing CM7 until this problem is fixed.
I searched the forums, found one thread. But they were not on stock software and startet talking about coding..
Its updated to 2.1
4GB SD Card
No sim-card
-Oh, and it wont search for any updates btw.

2a. Turn off your phone. ---> not plugged in USB !!!!
2b. Open the directory you unzipped S1tool to and run S1tool.exe. Then, click on IDENTIFY button before proceeding to step 2c.
2c. Boot your phone into flash mode (make sure you installed Gordon's Gate found in step 1a first). All users, press and hold back button while connecting cable from PC to phone. Continue holding back button until you get some output. The LED on your phone should flash green if it is in flash mode.

booting into flash mod is plugging your phone while pressing back button (and stay pressed !)
so you don't need that your phnoe stays off while on USB... since the main thing is that he needs to startup with USB
If him post didn't help you try turning off, taking off the battery for 5-10 seconds, then put again and try again unlocking your bootloader

You really should learn to read a bit of english.
In order to flash this ROM you need the nAa ICS kernel too, which is mentioned in the same post where you got the download from.
But anyway to get your phone working again:
Leave it disconnected from your PC
Start PC Companion or SEUS (whichever you have)
Choose update
(It can't find any updates because your phone is NOT connected to your PC)
It will give you a repair option
click it
it will warn you you will lose all your user-data. (accept that)
it will let you choose your phone-model from a list
choose your phone-model and click next
it will download the firmware and ask you to connect your phone in flashmode
(turn off your phone, press the back-button and plug in the usb-cable OR plug in your usb-cable, press HOME and POWER buttons at the same time until the screen goes really really black and then push the BACK button)
If the dialog on your computer-screen disappears, leave your phone alone until it says it's done.
After these steps, you can try everything again.

Hi can you say what you did before you stuck at boot?
I hope this is in the right section, don't know as I am new to XDA.
But I have a real issue. Here goes.
I recently updated my Xperia S to ICS. And I thought I want to root it.
So I went ahead and started, but when I should have placed a zip file on my internal memory, I extracted the files there instead.
So no, on CWM, when I am supposed to install from .zip file, I can't, since I do not have .zip file there.
I have tried almost all of the options on CWM on the phone, nothing works and I just get back to the start.
So my question is, how do I get out of the loop?
Is there any way I can access my phones files? So I maybe can put the SuperSU .zip file in the directory?
I can boot the phone in fastboot mode, but then it doesn't show on the computer.
Or maybe I can just reverse everything? An easy way, because I am not the best when it comes to this. I have found some solutions, but they ALL require that you put files on your SD card. Only problem is that my phone doesn't have SD card, only internal memory. ANd I can't access that right now.
Please help
Download Flashtools from http://androxyde.github.com/
Download a stock ftf rom from here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1599303
Put the downloaded rom in the flashtool/firmwares/ folder, then go to flashtool/drivers/ folder and run Flashtool-drivers.exe, when that has finished restart your computer.
Turn phone off, now press and hold the volume down button and connect the phone to your computer with the usb cable, when you get a green led you can let go, you are now in flash mode.
Start up flashtool, or flashtool64 if your on an x64 system, click the thunderbolt icon in the top left corner, select flashmode and click ok, in the left hand window select the rom you downloaded and then click ok in the bottom right corner.

Is your Bootloader unlocked?
Hello, I'm having the same problem too, but I wonder how do I "turn off" the device, since I keep pressing the top button to do this and it reboots and goes into CWM mode? Will I have to remove the battery?
Good news. Luckily I managed turn off the device. In the CWM main menu, keep the cursor positioned over the option that resets the device. Hold down the power button and immediately after, press the volume up and hold. Wait until the device vibrates 3 times. Now ready you run the procedure to connect in download mode and reinstall your firmware.
You guys must have used cmd to flash nozomi-recovery.img?
Sent from my LT26i using Tapatalk 2
Yeah, exactly. I used recovery-nozomi.img with CWM version 5.5.0.4 ... but I made a mistake in not installing SuperSU.

That's why I hate nozomi - recovery.img!
Nothing to worry... Happened to me too.
Use flashtool to reflash entire ftf(if you have ulbl) else use SEUS to repair (if you have lbl, I hate pcc!).
If lbl.... Then ulbl.
Use cmd to flash a custom kernel(don't use doom kernel its for gb).
Finished....
Thank... If helpful

hmm
Had a similar problem.. FIxed it with a lot of reading but now dnt remeber anymore :/
I'm having this problem too...
Almost everything is ready for flashing now, except the phone is not really turning off, even after 3 vibrates when holding down power and volume up... It turns off, but coming back in flash process!
That's how far I can go: It turns off, I hold down volume down, connect it to PC, have a green light. Flashtool see the phone, I push Flash button,Program gives "Device connected in flash mode" message, then "Selected Xperia s (LT26i)_WORLD_6,1,A,2,50_IT.flf" message, "Preparing files for flashing" message and "Device disconnected" message, because this stupid Recovery back on my screen again...
If I just can find the way to turn off my phone, so it's not come back to live when connected to PC...

Please, tell me which option do you mean..? It's no such an option like "Reset the device"...
SOLVED!
I manage to fix it!
Just wait for Flashtool to give error message (with phone picture and USB cable in it) and ask to reconnect device. Unplug device, press power button and volume up button until vibrate 3 times. Push volume down and plug usb cable, to get green light. Flashtool continue process from where it was broken.
Error message popped up not from first try, so hopefully this will be helpful to somebody...
Sorry for my english...
Many Thanks

Hi. This is the only relative place I could find to put this thread. I have not used my Archos 101 IT in 2-3 years and decided to try it out again. I have absolutely no idea what the password is so I read a forum that told me to start system recovery by turning the device off, then pressing the volume + button and then the power button. I did this and got system recovery. I went down to Format System and then chose Reformat Device. After all of the formatting it says "USB Connection: Press OK to disconnect" so I do that and it says "Update failed: (1)." It then takes me back to the main recovery screen. I cannot get out of recovery even if i shut the device off. I don't know what to do. I connected it to my laptop with a double-ended USB cord and the laptop does not register any device. I am lost. Please help?

You need to download the latest firmware from http://www.archos.com for the A101IT (gen8) connect your device to the computer and place the firmware file on your device. Do not change the firmware filename and safely remove when disconnecting the usb cable.

I try to connect my phone with computer but "Removable disc D" and "Removable disc D" appear with bright color and are not available. (maybe bacouse i havent turned usb storage on and of course i can't).
Nothing changes even if i remove my sd card or restart my phone.
Pls can you give any solution :crying:
SOLVED
Solved. I connected phone with PC and entered in recovery mode with ADB, then I continued steps for re-partitioning.
