thanks, but either its wrong version or something else is missing, because everything works except when I choose download settings then I get "Force Close".

well.. maybe you could wipe dalvik cache first and fix permission from xrecovery..

[Q] cm7 problems

so i installed cm7 on my aria last night. continued to get force closings in face book etc...would be nice to also have the hearing aid function back on it. any suggestions.
I've been running CM7 for a while now without problems, but when the Facebook app was updated the other day I started getting some odd force closes. I am inclined to think that it's a FB issue, not a CM7 issue.

There have been reports of the latest update of the facebook application (1.5.3 so far) force closing and other problems and people said that they downgraded back to their older version and everything works fine.
New FB update will fc all day long. Revert back to 1.5.2.
Hello im kinda new to this so forgive my ignorance...
I just flashed CM7 v7.0.0RC4
Just worth mentioning i wiped data reset wiped cache...forgot to wipe dalvik cache
any way flashed over fine and was working great i enabled 2g connection only because i dont have a data plan and dont want one but now my cell connection is kinda wacky it sends texts fine but calls dont work properly (drops them immediately) and signal reception is bad it will randomly drop signal for long periods of time.
Have i don something wrong?
BTW have tried rebooting powering off my phone multiple times etc dosent work any ideas?

http://download.cyanogenmod.com/?type=stable&device=liberty
1) Boot into Clockworkmod
2) Wipe data/factory reset
3) Wipe cache partition
4) Advanced > Wipe dalvik cache
5) Partitions menu > format system
6) Install Cyanogenmod zip from sdcard
7) Install Google Apps zip from sdcard
8) Reboot
If you don't have a data plan, don't select "Use only 2G networks". You need to disable data completely or you're going to get charged for some data use even if you aren't doing anything. After the first boot when you do initial configuration it should give you the option to use wifi only. If not, you can uncheck "Data enabled" from Settings > Wireless & networks > Mobile networks.

SOLVED - Settings/Wireless & networks - Force closing.. Anyone else experience this?

SOLVED - Settings/Wireless & networks - Force closing.. Anyone else experience this?
So I noticed today that every time I try to go into "Wireless & networks" from within the settings menu, I get a force close and can not proceed any further. This means I cannot change any of my wireless settings including bluetooth, wifi, or wireless.
Has anyone else experienced this issue and if so, have you figured out how to fix it? I've already tried wiping the dalvik cache.
I'm using the 1.36.531.6 build, rooted and deodexed. It is android version 2.3.4 with Sense 3.0.
CONCLUSION - DO NOT DELETE NFC.APK.
I'm assuming you have rebooted? You could try and go to settings/applications/all and find "Settings" and delete the cache, which would require you to make any settings changes again.

Yes I've rebooted, deleted the dalvik cache, wiped the cache partition, went into settings/applications and wiped the cache for the settings app and even tried replacing the settings app from a different ROM version and I still persistently have the issue.
I am deleting several APK's from the base ROM before flashing though and perhaps one of those is what is causing my issues?
I suppose I'll try flashing the full ROM again and then remove 1 apk at a time and see if I find the culprit.
Update.. It appears that the NFC app is what I deleted that borked the Wireless Settings menu.
Sooooo.. With that being said.. Don't delete nfc.apk.

Not sure if I can help ...
...hope that you checked your email account, if there is a limit for email data / storage. Maybe you should delete some "old" and "send" emails, remove all attachment to get some free space back.
Have you already wiped cache partition and Dalvik cache in recovery?
If that does not help, try to clear email app data and re-create your email account(s) again.
If that does not help, you may have to do a factory reset/wipe data.
Good luck !

[Q] s3 crashing because of g-apps

hi,
i'm using wanamlite rom v6.5 and lately my phone is working really slow and getting stuck a lot.
a error message saying "com.google.process.gapp has stopped" shows up once in a while.
tried updating the rom to v.6.6 but nothing changed.
(dont know if this helps but i put the phone on "strict mode" and the frame stays red for a long time).
hope you can help.
thx.
did you try to delete data in application management? otherwise try factory reset.
sounds like you didn't factory reset when flashing

[Q] Cant restore nandroid / Google Play 403 error

I've just flashed my Nexus S with CM11 M3 last night. Works awesome but i have one big problem i cant get rid of: When i try to download anything from Google Play i get a download error 403 message.
Let me tell you what i have tried to fix this:
- wipe dalvik
- clear proxy from apn
- clear cache/data for framework and play store/services
- flash this rom again
- flash gapps twice.
Nothing could solve this problem.
And one more thing: i tried to restore my nandroid backup of cm10 stable but it always fail with this error msg: cant mount system.
Anyone has any idea to help me ?
Thanks in advance!

for playstore problem, there's 2 ways
1. clear all data on playstore
- turn off data packets first
- open setting >applications >Google playstore
- force close, clear cache and data
- reboot
if not working, try this
2. clear proxy
- open setting
- on wireless and network, choose more, the mobile network, access point name, and open the gprs setting, clear the proxy, and save it,
Thanks for you fast answer. I'll try this and come back with results. Thanks.
later edit: So ive found a way to restore my nandroid backup by using Titanium and extract from nandroid. worked perfectly.
@nasheich: worked just like you said. Thanks.
