i cant flash clockwork mod recovery! help! - Vibrant Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

soo i get this message an "error occurred while downloading your recovery" what could it be? plz help!

Ok .... you can't flash a rom in CWM ? if that is the case just go into recovery manually and then flash it it may be because of something (like an odd app) that having a conflict. By going directly into the Recovery manually you can then test to make sure it is not your phone.

so i could flash a rom by reinstalling updates?

rom manager can sometimes create issues. im still not sure why people use it when you can easily flash cwm recovery through odin and it only takes about 2 seconds. im sure you didnt make a backup considering you were trying to flash recovery. the only thing you can do now is flash a stock rom via Odin now to get back up and running. for the future i would suggest you flash cwm through odin instead of trying to do it via rom manager.
thank you so much for responding. ok I think I might have odin installed on my pc. it says "odin in a nutshell". honestly I have no idea how to use it.

Can't reboot to recovery

Dear helpers,
I need your help in my issue. I flashed the CM7 rom on my gtablet successively, but now I can't go to the recovery anymore. When I restart into recovery it writes "Detect a recovery command erasing MSC " and then starts normally without going to the rom manager
Please help me in this issue cos I wanna flash another rom
thanks

Use this instructions very simple, I damage my Recovey and fix with the NVFlash to Stock with CWM pre-installed.
After that you can install any other ROM.

UnlockRoot and Rom manager

Hi guys ...
Need some help understanding something ...I was to chiken to root via Odin so I ended up rooting my GS2 with Unlockrootdotcom ...Its pc based and unrooted my phone without any prbs ..I then installed Titanium Bckup and Rom manager so far so good.
Now here is the prb ..I would like to make a full backup of my phone before I start messing around with Kernels and Roms. When I select "Backup Curent ROm" phone reboots and get the famous "E: failed to verify whole-file signature
E: signature verification failed" ....Is the prb with the way Unlockroot rooted my phone or am I missing something ?
I read that I need to flash with Cf-root but would that not alter the kernel and therefore it I would not have an orginal full back up
I guess Im a little confused ..any help/advice would be greatly appreciated
Sounds like you don't have CWM recovery, rather stock (3e) recovery. In order to get CWM recovery, you need to flash a kernel which comes with it.
How can I tell I have 3E recovery ?

It says 3e at the top.
If you want to dump your current kernel before flashing one with CWM recovery, see http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1409484
After flashing a kernel with CWM recovery, reboot into recovery to backup or CWM Manager app (installed by Chainfire CF-root kernel). ROM Manger is not compatible with CWM Recovery on SGS2.

Hi
tried to reboot into recovery as i usually do, but for some reason it bootloops into recovery.
The only thing i can do is boot into download mode, tried to flash a new recovery through odin, Odin says success but
when i try to restart it still bootloops into recovery and immediately keeps bootlooping?????
i did have the latest CWM 6.0.4.4. but it now seems corrupted somehow, Now im stuck. Any ideas.
cheers
Faqs and guides and multiple bootloop posts read/ search .
Suggest you use Philz recovery as CWM is outdated .

Go into download mode and Flash the stock ROM from www.sammobile.com in Odin first. Then root and flash the recovery again.

Don't let it auto reboot after the recovery flashes. Either uncheck auto reboot or just hit the combo for recovery when the phone reboots. Many newer Samsung phones have a script that reinstalls the original recovery if it realizes that you have changed it. You have to install another rom or root it and remove the script and reflash the recovery and it'll stick if you just want stock rooted.

http://galaxyyoungs6312.blogspot.com/2014/01/clockworkmod-recovery-for-galaxy-young.html
6310 + 6312 use the same recovery.
yeah....but i tried that rooting method and it didn't work....
maybe i can flash a new rom from ADB but i can't pass the signature verification
any ideas ?
Well I can tell from your pictures that you didn't follow the suggestion of trying SuperSU, but that might not help anyway. That Framaroot version is an older one. Get the updated version from here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/apps/framaroot/root-framaroot-one-click-apk-to-root-t2130276 and use SuperSU instead of Superuser. Sometimes you have to run it a couple times before it'll go through. Reboot in between tries. Here are better instructions for the rest of the process:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2460029
man ...didn;t work... ... tried at least 5 times .....
or....i can flash a rom from ADB but i can't pass the signature verification....
a have an ideea ....maybe i can flash via odin a rom whit a custom recovery ...from there i can flash an old backup of mine .....it's good to proceed right that ?
