[Q]Export contacts to google! - Sony Ericsson XPERIA X10 Mini

Hi people!
I used MiniCM ROM! (the best ROM)
I have many contacts in my phone! But all contacts saved to phone (Local).
How i can change local storge to google account?
Thanks.

1. Do the export into your SD card,
2. go to your GMAIL account, do import from there.
3. Clear out your phonebook, do autosync with google.
Done.

Export your phone contacts to SD card and then import the .vcf file into your google contacts. And never use phone contacts again.

Thanks!
All is working fine !

Wasn't actually looking but this will be useful for when I change my phone over in April.
Thanks

Is it possible to downgrade from 2.3 to 2.1?

Hello,
I am having X10.
Last week I downloaded rom from here and switched to Android 2.3 from 2.1.
My question is >> Is it possible to downgrade to 2.1?
I forgot to take backup in vcard and took backup in traditional sony format i.e. sbf.
As of now no tools available to open my contact file.
Regards,
Amey.

Unfortunattly no. Actually it's my friends phone and I did upgrade for him. I am not sure if he synced with his google account.
But he has logged in to his gmail account in 2.3 but no contacts have synced back [ if any sync automatically before ]

[Q] unable to open vcf format files on my Razr

I got this phone last week. The phone is amazing. The problem i have is the phone doesnt recognize '.vcf' files. so i am having troubles transferring my contacts from my iMac to my Razr. Can anybody suggest any workarounds for opening .vcf files on my Razr so that i can save my contacts????
Thanks in advance.
I'm not 100% s sure about vcf format but considering you need a gmail account to prep utterly use any Android handset would recommend trying to port the file to the contacts section of the gmail account

Any other way to open those files on the phone??? Does Razr doesn't support vcf files???
Sent from my X10i using XDA Premium App
I had no issues loading all my contacts from vCards (.vcf).

If I import a vcard received via text message, then it gets imported into my contacts without any problem. But if i transfer contact vcard from my iMac to phone via bluetooth and try to import it into my contacts, i get some parse error. is it a compatibility issue?

First check if the calendar entries are there - PC > gmail account.
If there aren't any entries, it's a bit strange and it seems like sync wasn't active before.
If it's there, delete the gmail account from phone an add it again.
Because the restore from Titanium there can be two reasons for not working:
- the calendar app version change with firmware (maybe from ics to jb or gb to ics?!)
- there wasn't a entry set, which can be the reason for no entry from gmail sync

So this what I said with compatibility...
So u must restore ur calendar settings on GB.
Then for sure u can't directly sync them because it's local.
So u must try to bring them in the google calendar....
I've to say that I didn't do it til know so can't say how, but maybe there is an option like "import/export to calendar" or kind of it.
After this synch again...
Hope I made it a bit clearer now...

will try this.... thanks..
Try MyPhoneExplorer.
Some of the events are on device calendar, so they don't appear in GCalendar.
AFAIK, MPE can backup/restore all calendars present on device.

Is there a way to do this that does not involve a factory reset?

Tried this and nothing noticeable happened.
No factory reset? Try to delete them from MyPhoneExplorer...
Thank-you for pointing me to MyPhoneExplorer. It was a nudge in the right direction. In the end I installed "Contact Remover" which removed all of the locally stored contacts with the ease of a Select All.
I am very happy because I am now completely free from Google services.
I've installed a OwnCloud server on my server, and now sync my Contacts and Calendar entries via Carddav-sync and CalDav-sync apps (which plug into the Android Calandar and Contacts as an account). My files / photographs are synced to my server via the OwnCloud Android application. The removal of the locally stored contacts was the last hoop.
Thank-you to everyone who took their time to reply.
if it´s intressting how to without mpe...you have to wipe data from contacts & contacts-storrage and reboot to see effect
