Hi Guys,
I'm trying to find a boot animation that I saw the other night, and I just can't find it again. I've searched for everything I can think of.
It was a black screen with a cutting torch or laser cutting out the android symbol. Does anyone know what I'm talking about?
Thanks
finally found it: http://www.droidforums.net/forum/droid-themes/131979-3-boot-animations-you-might-enjoy.html
it's a "mechanical welding arm" WOW I wasted way too much time on this.

Hello all.
I have rather a weird situation. I have a Lite'ning rom, and it comes default with the CRT animation. However, sometimes the closing animation will put a 'defect' on the screen just before turning the screen off.
It looks like the screen is broken and the white lines stay there. Now, this happens after some time the phone is on. Once restarted, the phone will go back to the normal state.
I have to repeat this: This defect is present for only a few millisecond, during the CRT closing animation. The screen has no defects or any yellow lines.
Does this sound like a software fault or a hardware fault? Also, since I am the first one who is reporting this, is it ok to assume that I am the only one with this 'fault'?
Thank you,
Mo.
55 views and NO answer.. I mean, people can't even say whether they ACTUALLY experienced this or not?!!?!
yes i get it too. it must be the crt animation thats.. not optimized for sgsii
I am guessing what you see is identical to the 'no-clipping' effect seen when you go through a wall in a really old game like doom using the no-clip cheat.

First off, as we all know, the flicker is related to animations on the screen. Although I made an interesting discovery. It doesn't happen if you're charging your phone from the wall. Not sure if anyone else has stumbled onto this but I figured I'd share.
...I bet you all thought this was another "WHY IS MY SCREEN FLICKERING BLUE?!?!?!" thread. Gotcha!

LOL, yes I was just thinking really ? Actually, I really don't notice it that much anyway either it's just my eyes or my phone .
I hadn't noticed the blue flicker until I ran Joelz rom. Then I only noticed it when I was in the settings menu. Now that I am back on Nils Business Sense, I don't see it at all.
The only time I've seen it was when watching a video I posted on Photobucket. It's very strange but haven't noticed it anywhere else.
I bought a vibrant last night. It was dead so i plugged it in my car charger and saw the boot screen and bought it. Well come to find out after the logs it goes to a black screen with the bottom buttons lighting up. I did try some research here but couldn't make any sense of it. Is there any way to tell what is wrong with it and how to fix it? I am a newb so please be patient with me. Thanks.
How about looking here, here and maybe here (?).
Hello everyone,
I have had an EKEN T02 tablet for one year now. For almost one month every time I switch it on there is a straight line running through my screen.
Sometimes it is green and thinner and sometimes it is grey and thick. As my screen keeps working it gradually fades away but it never disappears.
Have you ever experienced such a problem? Any ideas of what might be causing it? Do you think it would be worth trying to take it apart?
Any suggestion or thoughts on the matter would be more than welcome.
Thanks in advance!
P.S My screen looks like this:
Looks similar to what happens to laptop screens, which I believe the only solution is a new screen.
Hello, i'm new, so i apologize if i did this incorrectly. So i have had a droid razr for some time now. I have noticed recently that whenever i turn on my phone, the screen fade-in looks really bad. I looks like it fades-in from three different shades of black, and looks really bad. It also does this when it fades-out when the screen is about to turn off. I know i can go into developer settings and turn off the animations or whatever, but that disables the really cool TV-like transistion when i turn off the screen. I was curious if this is a known issue or can be fixed without disabling the animaitons? I also have a matte finish screen protector and that might do someting to the colors? Any help would be apprecitated, thanks! (btw, i'm not rooted)
