I experienced horrible battery life running SC2.9.2 with jt's EC10 kernel and DI09 radio, so I want to go back to stock froyo rom, but debloated.
The battery lasted 15~20 hours of moderate use with 3G always on + 0% brightness, but now with the specs above I get 5~7 hours and the battery drains more than stock even in sleep mode.
so is there a debloated stock froyo rom? perhaps with minor fixes
Give darkRevenge a shot. I was in the same boat as you.

I think that Ec10 is possibly the culprit to the problems. I'm currently using an EB01 based rom.... Seeing if it makes a difference.

I personally would say either jk2 or jl4 some people really like jl5 but I received horrible battery with it

I'm running Nero v3 with JL5, and I get great battery life. I also read of a lot of people getting great life with JK6. From what I can tell it varies from phone to phone.
Honestly, The best advice is to test different ones and see what works best for you.

Jl5 works best for me.

Of the stock Froyo kernels, the best combo was the JK6 Voodoo kernel and the JL5 modem. JK6 modem actually got better battery life, but it had a problem in which it would get stuck on EDGE if I left the 3G coverage area, and wouldn't reconnect to 3G without a reboot.
The best battery life I've ever seen on my Vibrant is still with Eclair + JAC XMOD kernel + JK6 modem, but again, there's that 3G reconnect problem. I'm using Eclair + JAC XMOD + JI2 modem right now, and my battery life is excellent.
Yeah, I'm not upgrading to Froyo/Gingerbread until Samsung releases the source code. None of the Froyo ROMs behave properly on my recalcitrant phone.
I'm currently on trigger 2.7.0 with deadhorse kernel.
But I heard that Axura have better battery life than any other rom,
so my question is if I flash Axura and deadhorse kernel would battery life increase or stay the same since I will be running the same kernel.
Don't tell me stuffs like battery life depends on how you use it etc....

I use them both and there is not much difference between the two for me to worry about as far as battery life
anybody else?

I don't think you can go wrong either way. With that said I was a long time axura user. I switched to trigger and have no regrets at all. Flashed overstock kernel on it and its just butter. My battery life is very good to.

I'm presently running Axura with Dead Horse & JFS lagfix. It's a nice ROM, but trigger and Darky's are definitely more snappy. Battery life seems the same.
Im using trigger and its amazing but my battery life isnt that great

I use Bionix so it's hard to answer that, but I will tell you that I also use the overstock 1.4 kernel and it's been better then anything else battery wise.
I've searched all over but haven't found much info. Does anyone know of a fix for 3rd party batteries on Froyo??
What do you mean by "fix"?

If you buy 3rd party batteries (eBay, other sellers) using Froyo, the phone will display a "non authorized battery" warning and won't charge the phone.
Since this is a software protection, there must be a workaround/fix... but what is it?!?
Check out the Imnuts Kernel's or JT1134's Kernels they both have support for non-oem batteries.

Awesome, thanks! I have the 2 month old cleaned up fascinate froyo rom. Can I just update the Kernel or will I have to wipe and install a fresh rom?
I'm not sure if they work on the older froyo. You might want to update to the EC01 Rom and radio. It is a lot less buggy and seems to run faster.
I'm running EC01 with comavolt voodoo and my phone is running very smooth

I am still on EB01 with nv Comavolt and everything runs great for me also.

Just finished installing EC01 with the recommended voodoo kernel.... the "non supported battery" prompt is still popping...
Do I need to install one of the kernels you recommended? Do I just Odin/CWR it in?
Isn't your battery life terrible though --staying with eb01, I mean.
On ec01 I just hit 30% after 8 hours of semi-idle use,2 hours of intermittent Internet usage, another 4 hours of idle in bad reception, and a 3 hour phone call.
I'd say that's pretty sweet.

I have NO idea what all the kernel versions mean.. but i went on and installed 0415_imnuts_50_voodoo.zip. No more battery issues!!
It was so easy.. and i'm a noob! Thanks!

I get a full day now since flashing the comavolt kernel. I have been holding off on ec01 waiting for the new community rom coming. I might just go ahead and flash ec01 tonight though and see how the battery does for a few days. Just that it got so much better after flashing the comavolt that I have been hesitant to change.
EDIT: Well just flashed the ec01 radio and the new imnuts -100 nv kernel, still using sc 2.9.2 rom. All I can report for now is everything is working good. Too early to report anything about battery life, will let you know in a few days.

Ok, so after flashing every new gb Rom, I've decides to go back to a froyo bases Rom because they're way less buggy, and get better battery life. However I remember that in the olden days when I was running bamf 1.5 I also ran imoseyons kernels and got insane battery life. I mean I could go like 16 hour and still have half a battery. I'm now in bamf 1.8.6 with new mr2 radio, but with the built in kernel, the charging time don't seem as fast as I remember and the battery life doesn't seen to be as good as I remember. Does anyone that's back on a froyo Rom have a suggestion on what kernel to use? Or a link to the old imoseyon kernels? Would those older kernels support the mr2 radio?

Here's the link, and yes they work. I'm running it know with the OTA radio and BAMF 1.8.6 and I love it.
Are you running at 1.4 GHz or in "battsaver" mode?
I'm running 1.4 "Normal"
Cool, thanks. I just loaded this up and it runs very well.
Ok, thanks. I'm running the lean in battsave mode. So far so good. Thanks.

Hey guys i need some help.. I own a droid incredible and the ROMs and kernels there are great, i can always get awesome battery life with tiny's kernels.. My brother has the Samsung Fascinate and he wants some rooting love. He wants basically what i have: a stable rom with a kernel that will give him at lease better battery life than stock. I mean if there is a kernel out there that can do what tiny's kernels do for my droid incredible that would be amazing. so can someone point me in the right direction?? thanks!!!!
Froyo or Gingerbread?

Powerwashed Rom by ccampos, closest thing to stock so can be used as a daily driver and great battery life.

I personally would go with cm7 and use the glitch kernel. Set the undervolting settings and the phone lasts for quite a while. My percentage dropped 1% in almost 2 hours. I was doing a fairly moderate amount of texting and some browsing.
+1 for CM7.1 with Glitch kernel. Even if you don't change UV settings the battery life is pretty good.
