Ok, so after flashing every new gb Rom, I've decides to go back to a froyo bases Rom because they're way less buggy, and get better battery life. However I remember that in the olden days when I was running bamf 1.5 I also ran imoseyons kernels and got insane battery life. I mean I could go like 16 hour and still have half a battery. I'm now in bamf 1.8.6 with new mr2 radio, but with the built in kernel, the charging time don't seem as fast as I remember and the battery life doesn't seen to be as good as I remember. Does anyone that's back on a froyo Rom have a suggestion on what kernel to use? Or a link to the old imoseyon kernels? Would those older kernels support the mr2 radio?

Here's the link, and yes they work. I'm running it know with the OTA radio and BAMF 1.8.6 and I love it.
Are you running at 1.4 GHz or in "battsaver" mode?
I'm running 1.4 "Normal"
Cool, thanks. I just loaded this up and it runs very well.
Ok, thanks. I'm running the lean in battsave mode. So far so good. Thanks.

I experienced horrible battery life running SC2.9.2 with jt's EC10 kernel and DI09 radio, so I want to go back to stock froyo rom, but debloated.
The battery lasted 15~20 hours of moderate use with 3G always on + 0% brightness, but now with the specs above I get 5~7 hours and the battery drains more than stock even in sleep mode.
so is there a debloated stock froyo rom? perhaps with minor fixes
Give darkRevenge a shot. I was in the same boat as you.

I think that Ec10 is possibly the culprit to the problems. I'm currently using an EB01 based rom.... Seeing if it makes a difference.

I've searched all over but haven't found much info. Does anyone know of a fix for 3rd party batteries on Froyo??
What do you mean by "fix"?

If you buy 3rd party batteries (eBay, other sellers) using Froyo, the phone will display a "non authorized battery" warning and won't charge the phone.
Since this is a software protection, there must be a workaround/fix... but what is it?!?
Check out the Imnuts Kernel's or JT1134's Kernels they both have support for non-oem batteries.

Awesome, thanks! I have the 2 month old cleaned up fascinate froyo rom. Can I just update the Kernel or will I have to wipe and install a fresh rom?
I'm not sure if they work on the older froyo. You might want to update to the EC01 Rom and radio. It is a lot less buggy and seems to run faster.
I'm running EC01 with comavolt voodoo and my phone is running very smooth

I am still on EB01 with nv Comavolt and everything runs great for me also.

Just finished installing EC01 with the recommended voodoo kernel.... the "non supported battery" prompt is still popping...
Do I need to install one of the kernels you recommended? Do I just Odin/CWR it in?
Isn't your battery life terrible though --staying with eb01, I mean.
On ec01 I just hit 30% after 8 hours of semi-idle use,2 hours of intermittent Internet usage, another 4 hours of idle in bad reception, and a 3 hour phone call.
I'd say that's pretty sweet.

I have NO idea what all the kernel versions mean.. but i went on and installed 0415_imnuts_50_voodoo.zip. No more battery issues!!
It was so easy.. and i'm a noob! Thanks!

I get a full day now since flashing the comavolt kernel. I have been holding off on ec01 waiting for the new community rom coming. I might just go ahead and flash ec01 tonight though and see how the battery does for a few days. Just that it got so much better after flashing the comavolt that I have been hesitant to change.
EDIT: Well just flashed the ec01 radio and the new imnuts -100 nv kernel, still using sc 2.9.2 rom. All I can report for now is everything is working good. Too early to report anything about battery life, will let you know in a few days.

Anybody have some advice for the best kernel to run with this ROM?
I came from Das BAMF 1.7 with great battery life and speed, but the TH craving had me moving to 2.06 remix. I love this ROM, but I have two issues: slow battery charging and my battery life is way down. I wiped stats after flashing and rebooted during charge. The charge got a little faster but I have to do that every time. I read the threads in development section and it said it could be the governor or the kernel, any advice?

It should have come packaged with imo's 3.0.1 test 1 lean. They'd the kernel you need to use.

Try plugging your phone in and rebooting it. It should recharge fast then. There is a bug that cause the phone to charge slow until you reboot it.
I have done that, but I have to do it every time. A bigger concern is the fact that my battery is draining twice as fast as 1.7. Any advice? I love this rom, but I need better battery life.
BTW I changed governors, but no improvement

Hi all, just wanted to find out your opinions in updating from MR1 to MR2 aside from the facts that newer ROMs will only work with MR2 or 2.5. I'm still running ThunderRom with an MR1 radio and so far my thunderbolt's actually running faster than it was on the newer ROMs.

The 2.75 and the release from chingy have been my favorites. Much better 4G/3G handoff than the previous radios. I do believe that every Bolt is different and will react differently to certain radios.
I've had the best luck with mr2 under cm7 using dream kernel... that combo gives me the best battery life in a aosp rom.. mr2.5 was fine but seemed to drain my battery much quicker. Haven't tried mr2.75 though.

just like the title says my friends, what ROM and why? likes? dislikes?
Thank you!
Clean Rom 4.5
S-On
Because I'm stupid at HTC phone modding and it seemed easy as hell to put on my phone
the complete 3.14 leak, only rooted it and froze all the bloatware.
it's fast, it's stable, and I get the same, if not better battery life than the stock GB I was on previously.
Currently at 53% battery at 10.5 hours on battery with 50 minutes of screen-on time.
I am s-off.

Team PkmN - Venasaur Rom v3.1.0
Cause it's got the best Rezound devs working together on it and I've had no problems with any of Joelz's ROMs on any device I've run

any idea if the nwe 3.2 version with the RIL fix is better? i was not very happy initially with that rom. was slow to me anyway. but i LOVE sense4.0.
CleanROM DE ... closest thing available to AOSP. The thing I really wished I had while on AOSP on the EVO 4G was the Sense camera and phone. This has it!
Chingy 3.6 Rom.
It's smooth as hell and I've never felt smoother. But I do like messing around with pokemon rom, I was on 3.1.
It was pretty cool.

pkmon bc it works well and quick settings mainly
Cleanrom 4.5 standard. I've ran many other roms as well and they are all very good. I like the stock look and feel with some minor adjustments which cleanrom provides.
Rez Rom s4 v.2.4. Running great

I'm also on chingys ineffibilis. Great rom, I tried a few others but this rom work best for me. I used his gb rom also
I'm on clean rom gb but I've been switching between ics roms and gb roms while staying on the gb firmware

I also just installed Ineffabilis Deus 1.0 this morning and I'm liking it. I was a fan of the Ineffabilis GB roms also.
Rezrom 2.4, because I wanted an ICS ROM with Sense 4.0 and it looked to be the most stable. First time unlocking/rooting/flashing and I managed not to brick it
I was tired of waiting for the OTA, and that didn't even have Sense 4.0 so as far as I'm concerned right now this software is better than anything the Rezound will ever get officially.
Scott's stock rooted ICS leak (3.14)
Updated firmware just to see how it works and have s-off.
Running this ROM solely to see how close it is to "right" - usually run Scott's CR 4.x

I'm using my own ROM based off the initial ICS 4.0.1 leak.
I'm using this particular leak because it's an early build, so HTC hasn't made as many significant changes to ICS yet... it has a lot less "Sense" in it, and plays nicer with more true AOSP files, and requires little work to fix most of the annoying bugs. I've added in my own ramdisk, init.d support, SebastianFM's OC kernel, a lot of the usual optimizations (zipalign on boot, sdcard tweeks, etc), and its great! I am trying to get that 100% AOSP look, however I still have the stupid Sense call screens to figure out..
Clean Rom 4.5 because it works and it's pretty fast. I'd like to try a Sense 4 Rom, but I need Bluetooth so until that's stable I just can't do it. Not for any length of time anyway. Looking forward to AOSP and maybe MIUI (fond memories on my Inc) or at least kernels for better batt life.
