First of all thank the Comunity and this site for their tremendous efforts throughout the development of roms, more than once because reading and reading and reading I have resolved all doubts!
I will try to explain as best as possible, to have if anyone can help.
I'm happy owner of a HTC Shift for over two years, which is purchased in a thrift store and everything has been perfect so far.
The problem must be the JACK audio, initially plugging and unplugging the headphones when you restart and some tricks but everything was going perfectly, until one day no longer heard the speakers.
Putting the headphones the sound is coming in windows 7, but in Windows Mobile not heard anything (before it was heard ringing through the headset intense ).... I assume that JACK CONECTOR is a failure, the case is that I have completely dismantled the shift and is the first time I see a JACK of this kind and are not where they compare, ask at several shops in Barcelona and do not know what kind it is.
If somebody could help me or tell me where to buy.
My idea if I fix this problem is put in the hole next to that Jack, another for connecting the headset and microphone and boring windows mobile housing for output and thus be able to use it as mobile and able to speak and hear for the handsfree
Well, if anyone can help me would greatly appreciate it, thank you for your attention and greetings from Spain
Thank you for your attention and greetings to the entire community

Re: Help
Bumpity bump...
Pls guys... dont tell me none of you had this issue.....
help me out here ... i really need it .....
Hey,
I got mine sorted.
I bought something very similar to THIS
My one is slightly different. Only has one button on, which isn't going to get used anyway!
The above one would do the same I'd imagine.
Cost me £11 from Best Buys
Works an absolute treat. And sounds much better than my old iPhone.
Just need to run another cable from the adapter to the phone, and away you go!
Hmmm... that is a good solution for this....
But then again i think there was an HTC phone review where i saw this option pop out when u connect anything into the jack... lets see...
As for that .... ya that is a good option...
But lets hope someone comes along for another solution...
Ill have to check if something similar to that Jack is sold here in my country in India...
Thanks for the heads up man... appreciate it
wanted to post this as a seperate thread..also posted it as an answer to another nrelated thread where the question came up..
these are stereo headsets for music and calls...the ear bud options might work for you guys while driving:
I own 3 bluetooth headsets (yes i own every tecky geeky corny cool gadget I can find...usually I just test them out and sell them for a profit on ebay ).
I bought these Samsung SBH600 on woot during a one day sale for 55 bucks (shipping included) and you cant find them anywhere now (sorry...if you wait anywhere between a couple of months to a year woot may have them again..its one sale a day there). They are 30% passive noise canceling and really good quality. Can be used both for music and calls:
http://www.woot.com/Blog/ViewEntry.aspx?Id=14521
These also have a wire for a 3.5 mm jack so you can use for music only if you ran out of juice.
This is the amazon listing in case it ever become available again:

For comparable ones you can find the previous model but i cant vouch for those:
http://www.amazon.com/Samsung-SBH500-Bluetooth-Wireless-Headset/dp/B0016I6GUS/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=mobile&qid=1294670770&sr=8-1
You will have to check reviews and I do not think those have any noise cancelling properties. I think they also lack the 3.5 mm jack.
i also have the moto rockr headset:
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B001LXR0BW/ref=pd_lpo_k2_dp_sr_2?pf_rd_p=1278548962&pf_rd_s=lpo-top-stripe-1&pf_rd_t=201&pf_rd_i=B001EKQQ5S&pf_rd_m=ATVPDKIKX0DER&pf_rd_r=0D7YT72QD8CD9NMWYTKH
This one is more of a startreky kind of look like a backwords visor. They have earbuds and it hangs behind your head. Good quality and has volume control and answering calls etc. Does not have 3.5 mm jack so bluetooth is your only option or noise cancelling.
Finally I have the very first version of these sony bluetooth headsets which also have a little led display on them. They can connect to more than one device so you could have them connected to your ipod and phone together for example (I think the samsung has that too but I havent tested it out).

Other options I do not own and cannot vouch for:
http://www.amazon.com/Motorola-S305-Bluetooth-Stereo-Headset/dp/B002BH3I9U/ref=sr_1_1?s=wireless&ie=UTF8&qid=1294671987&sr=1-1

hope this helps...its usually the stero headsets which will play music and then answer calls...the ear muff style is good for planes etc..the earbud style for driving and stuff...
Hey guys, I have a hardware issue but first the background story
So my phone fell on concrete and the screen broke. I bought a digitizer and replaced it myself. After a month or so, I broke it again. I replaced it, but the unit I got was faulty, and I only got the replacement today.
I opened the phone again and replaced the digitizer, and it's working great!
however in the process I must have done something wrong since my audio/sound doesn't work anymore.
1)Loud speaker works just fine and the microphone works since I am able to talk to people and they hear me
2) When I plug in my earset, the sound works just fine on the earphone. The microphone switches over the earset's microphone and I can hear/talk just fine.
The only problem that I have is I can't hear anything if i put phone next to my ear :/ I opened again looked around, but didn't find anything obvious that might explain wha went wrong. Would anyone know where to look/what to test?
Cheers
anyone any idea please? D:
I haven't opened up my Mozart just yet but from my experience with HTC phones I would suggest checking the contacts of the speaker. They tend to have little springs on the speaker that come in contact with the mainboard and this is how the signal is transmitted. If these contacts are damaged then you will not hear anything.
With all the drops you may have damaged the speaker itself but I'm not sure of a way you could test that.
The problem i had was that I used my sony ericsson X8 headset and the sound came out funny, the thing that was cuasing it was the microphone. Try stock headset to see if it works. If it doesnt then you might want to get someone to check it or fix it. Up to you.
I'm sure this has come up but Im using Tapatalk and the search feature will not allow me to search posts in one forum that I know od. I get results from whole site.
I have a Streak 5 with no sound coming from phone ear piece. Speaker phone and bluetooth are fine. Is this a hardware or software problem?
Sent via the Samsung Galaxy S™ II Skyrocket™, an AT&T 4G LTE smartphone using Tapatalk.
same here
I have had this same problem but it comes and goes - with mine when the earpiece is failing the ringtone is also affected. I keep the vibrate on - that way I can tell if the problem is happening and then enable the speaker phone when answering a call.
Some people on the web say it's software others say the opposite.
Mine is intermittent so I'd guess it's hardware, maybe a bad contact or failing part.
Found this spares supplier, thought about replacing the earpiece.

Let it's know if you find a fix
Had the same problem...earpiece speaker not working...it seems that the earphone jack socket had slightly moved & not making good contact. Used a jewelers screwdriver to shift it back & now not a prob...
Good day,
I couldn't find any similiar posts, decided to post a new thread.
I have two i9300's ( Let's call them A & B ) where motherboard B only outputs garbled sound through the speaker. It's definatly not the speaker, and more likely to be the issue of motherboard B since both speakers work on A.
So what my question is, does anyone who has expierence with this hardware knows what points I should a look at hardware wise?
I'll check up on this thread once I wake up.
Thanks in advance.
( Reason A's motherboard is to be replaced is because B's screen is broke, and A doesn't charge anymore. )
