Is there anyway to get Japanese emoji (emoticons) fonts working?
Sorry for being so brief. I did some searching on the forums, and couldn't find a solution. I'll search some Japanese forums and if I find a solution I'll post one here.
Hi
you can get docomo's emoji
1. Get libemoji_docomo.so from Official Docomo ROM or download other website.
2. Copy libemoji_docomo.so to /system/lib in Custom ROM
3. Change permission of /system/lib/libemoji_docomo.so to 644
4. modify /system/build.prop
add bellow 1 line to /system/build.prop
ro.config.libemoji=libemoji_docomo.so
5. Reboot phone
If you cant understand this way,serach google with keyword "libemoji_docomo.so"
GO SMSpro seems to support Emoji icons....

Hello everybody...
I want to know that, Is there any way to add a new language support ( just for characters not for UI ) to a rom that we want to customize it???
I tried to add fonts of the new language to the rom, but it just showed the characters disconnected;
Then I tried to replace the LIBSKIA, LIBSKIAGL and LIBSWEBCORE from n rom that supports the language to my rom, and then added fonts , but this time, after flashing the rom did not log in and just freezed in at the HTC logo..
I want to add Arabic - Persian support to my rom, can anyone help???

How if I want to add the language to UI ..?? ( How can we change the UI.??)

If I understand you correctly, you are taking files from the framework of one device and putting them into the framework of a different device?
If that's the case, you can't do that. Apks (even framework apks) rely heavily on things like resource ids, which very greatly from device to device, or from rom to rom.
Unfortunately Im nit sure how to do what you are seeking to do, just offering some advice on your apk compiling problem. Also, if I've completely misunderstood what you were doing, I apologize and disregard what I said.
In any case, post the compiling error your getting.

Seems that people have done so for some of the languages and put the phone for sale online. Can anyone provide a download link if such a ROM really exist. Thanks a lot!

Question goes back to How to port another language?
Use apktool to decompile all /system/app/*.apk.
There will be folders values-ru(or br.. or other language,that already on phone)
You should take values folder(that en language) and copy it to values-ru(where ru - is your language).
Then you should decompile /system/framework/framework-res.apk
and translate like other's apk.
btw, don't forget to add values-ru-RU folder(for russian lang, for yours- use your short tag letters), that will add your language to settings, and you will may to choise it.
Good luck.
Thanks! I will give it a try.

Hi.
I',m author of this custom ROM
You can find it on the link:
http://acer-club.ru/topic/11024-custom-rom-darkfirmware-noir-102206-для-acer-betouch-e400/
You can try install original ROM with this instruction(I don't know - work it or not: I don't have this device):
Install official 1.018.13 ROM (http://acer-club.ru/topic/7714-офпрошивка-101813emea-gen1/)
After this get the root permissions, install and open Root Explorer and edit in /system/build.prop and on /system/flex/cci.prop text with "GEN1" on "GEN3" region
for example:
ro.cci.data=GEN1
ro.cci.flex.version=FF_E400_101813_EMEA_GEN1
replace on:
ro.cci.data=GEN3
ro.cci.flex.version=FF_E400_101813_EMEA_GEN3
and try to flash on 1.022.06 rom again
Sorry if you have some problems with ROM - he oriented on european market users and have problems with support arabic RTL.

is there any thing i can do
So i know how to program for android ( building a application atm ).
I got a samsung galaxy y s5360 and i really like the azerty keyboard ( becaus i live in belgium ).
Only problem is the annoying setting button on the keyboard itself and the toggle XT9 button -.-"
Is there a way to:
1. pull the keyboard apk from the phone ( its a stock app ).
i was looking for it through the folders but couldnt find the apk
2. "Build" the apk so i can modifie it so the button wont do anything anymore
Ofcourse that's possible.
Using adb, pull the app, or copy it from your device using an explorer.
Using APKTOOL, decompile it.
Then look for any logic related to buttons in the smali files. Remove the function added to your XT9 button.
Recompile, adb install.
Should work!
If you don't know wich smali file, just post the APK here.

Hi everyone,
I would like to make a zip file to add automatically fonts by flashing it. I get a FontPack.zip, I removed some fonts I did not like but I would like to add some. I tried to add the font files (.ttf) concerned with the others ( in /FontPack.zip/system/app/FlipFont.apk/assets/fonts/ ) but when I flash it the ones I added do not appear in the phone parameters.
I saw that each font had an .xml file attached in /FontPack.zip/system/app/FlipFont.apk/assets/xml/ so I thought the problem was there. But I do not know if the problem is really there and even if it is I do not know how to create a .xml file for the fonts I added.
For information I added two fonts and their bold equivalent which are Ubuntu and Buntu ( which is Ubuntu Light ).
Thanks for your help and please forgive me for my bad english.
PS : I attached the font pack to my message so you can see it.
No one knows how could I solve my problem ?

not really a answer for help but have you seen this thread about flipfonts basically its a apk of the fonts run the apk and the it will be added to system for you to choose thru your settings
thread link here
also if u use go launcher goto visual settings font at bottom section u have option to change fonts also the option to search so if u was to create folder on your sd it will add.
just suggestions
Thanks for the answer, I just asked on the thread you gave me if it was possible to make me an apk with the Ubuntu Light font.
I use Apex Launcher but thanks for your advice.
