just keep it connected to the charger for an hour or so...
Ok, i had to do this twice now, as i bricked it a couple of weeks ago
you'll have to reflash with sony ericsson update service here:
http://www.sonyericsson.com/cws/supp...10?cc=gb&lc=en
Follow the instructions and press the back button before plugging in the cable.
Download the software and keep in mind that playing around with roms will result in these problems so don't go too far.
If that doesnt work, try this:
1. Take your battery out.
2. Hold the back button. Make SEUS running and ready.
3. Plug it into the computer.
4. Put your bateery back in.
Follow the instructions. Hopefully it would work and good luck
If it worked dont forget to hit thanks button.

My phone was running z's rom 2.2 for x10 when I took it out of my pocket and the screen was black. The blue lights turned on but not the screen. When I turned off the phone, it wouldn't turn back on.
The computer won't recognize it for flash tool or se fix software or battery won't charge if I hook it up to the charger. what do I do? I have never had this issue before. help would be awesome.
thanks. is it bricked?
Solution sort of: I took my phone in to ATT service center and they said my phone and battery weren't working. So I got a new phone for free. (THANK GOD) Xperia x10 refurbished. So I got to mod it all over again. lol. They couldn't tell me what I did wrong or anything. So I guess I have a solution. So whoever has an issue like me, lets just hope your phone isn't dead like mine The other sad thing was they didn't have a battery for me so they are sending me one through the mail. by tomorrow. one day shipping yess!!!! Thanks for all those who put in helpful ideas. Doing some serious phone pimping pretty soon once I get my battery.
Can you boot into xRecovery?
I have a similar issue here.
I am using the CM6.1.3 custom ROM on my phone (Android 2.2). It ran out of battery(for its first time) this afternoon so I charged it and tried to turn it back on but it wouldn't. It just starts up until the Sony Ericsson logo and just fades out and a white light will turn on at the notification lamp for a while and then reboot again. I tried the Sony Ericsson update service to reinstall the software but I changed the firmware and baseband so it doesn't work and it doesn't seem to be able to boot into xRecovery either. What can I do? Help/advice appreciated!
Problem might be with the faulty offline charging.so your battery's flat.I believe there is a fix for the problem, you might need to borrow a battery, install the fix(check the Rom main page) then you should be good to go :
You could also flash a clean rom using the flashtool version 1.3 I think

can you teach me how to flash a clean rom using the flashtool? i already have the flashtool but i dont really know how to use it
thanks
Look in the development section as there are detailed descriptions on this already, but I can say not to worry as it's impossible to brick this phone, it can always be returned to stock. It's the only good thing about not having a cracked bootloader, we cannot be bricked

I did update through samsung PC Companion and the phone starts, but a little camera with arrow pointing at it shows for few seconds then the samsung name dominates till I remove the battery. I read about uninstalling software on computer so I did and updated again. It went through the process both times on 2 different computers. I have no idea about the xperia. I am on a droid x and love it. But I need to figure out how to get the xperia working again. Thanks in advance

Wait, you're using Samsung Kies(?) to update your Sony Ericsson x10?
That doesn't add up...
I must have missed something...
Use SEUS or PC Companion, that should fix it.

Try using SEUS or try pc companion using the 'repair' function and not update. Have u tried using flash tool? if that dont work, then u might be outta luck!

I just did seus and it went through and said phone was updated. I turn it on and the camera with the arrow pointing towards phone shows up and disappears. Then the sony ericsson screen comes up and stays there till I take the battery out.
The best I can figure out is that when the icon with the camera and the arrow pointing to the device means that the camera is being installed. This could be a long process. If the device is interrupted it might make the camera work wrong or not at all. If I am wrong on my analysis please let me know.
Is it a yellow triangle with the arrow in it?

No it is a camera, with a blue arrow pointing to the screen of a phone and flashing

Then let it be, it takes quite a while at times, so let it be, it will boot into the OS once it's finished.
I let it run till the battery died. Now I will charge it back up and try again. Thank you for the input.

what he said. Usually takes like 5-8 mins...gl
Well I guess I will reflash. I let it go for couple hours and drained the battery. I will get it accomplished if I keep trying and dont get in a hurry. This is a weird phone but I really want to try it.
After many attempts. The camera still comes on, I let it wait till drains battery still nothing. I am going to attempt to flash it back to 1.6 every time I do an update or repair it puts same software on it. I am letting it charge and will see what happens next
Finally after flashing 3 times, updating with pc companion 3 times, updating with seus 3 times. I have come to the conclusion that battery is to old to last long enough to install all of the software. I did find some excellent videos on youtube to help flash. I would post a link but I have not read to see if that is allowed. Will order new battery and do it all again. It is cool to mess with phones and figure things out.

Don't think any battery could stand 3 consecutive firmware flashes...
Flashing just drains too much...

Have you tried recalibrating your battery? that might give you some extra life yet...
Finally flashed back to 1.6 now phone is working. I need a sim to activate to get into phone. It is stuck on emergency call screen. I had to charge the battery after each flash. I came to the conclusion if it takes longer than an hour and a half there is something not right. Will try to optimize as soon as I can get into phone. Many thanks to all
Hi everybody,
I got my Xperia S 3 days ago, updated to .73 the same day.Set up and installing everything apps games...
Today it suddendly switch off and i can't turn it on.I tried to Hard reset it vol up + power button but nothing happen! When i plug it on USB or wall charger the notification LED is fast blinking red(not like when the batteries are empty.I tried to connect it to the PC Companion, the only way to be connected for me is to push booth vol. buttons. The red Led disappear and it go to the next step but pc companion says to me that it must be updated whereas it is.I know that we can unscrew it to remove the batteries but i don't want to lose the warranty.Waiting for any tips.
Interesting...
What I would do as a next step, would be to update the phone, as the PC Companion suggested.
If nothing happened after that, I would return the phone to where I purchased it for refund or replacement.

I had this too!!
Hello,
I am sorry that you are facing this problem. I am not too sure if you are still experiencing the same. I just want to share what happened when I had the similar problem. It happened to me after I disconnected a call. When I had the similar problem, My device was not even charging. I just decided that may be I need to take my device to nearest service center. Strange, But it seems that this is not new to Sony mobiles. So I had to google it. I think its originally problem with the proximity sensor which does not goes off. Then, I tried pressing the power+volume up button together for 5-7 seconds and Boom, mobile just restarted. Now its working charm now.
If you wish you can give a try as well.
All the best!

Hi everybody,

Thanks guys.... i thought i got a brick...
Hello,
Yesterday I got my new full case for my Xperia X10i. I changed it myself viewing a tutorial on YouTube. I don't know why, but my phone was stuck in the familiar SE logo boot loop. I read all the possible answers here, tried them all. I went to a software service, they said it's not a software problem. I went to hardware service, they said the hardware is working fine, everything is fine.
I was using Gingerbread version 2.3.3 version on my phone, never changed, never bricked, never nothing "wrong" done to the phone. Now, I've followed every instruction here, tried with PC Companion, SEUS, FlashTool; everything with no luck...
I'm asking you, because I'm amateur, noob, and I don't want to lose my Xperia. What am I supposed to do? What to try?
Oh yes, and when using Flashtool I'm getting the UNROOTABLE tip on one line...
Any ideas, tips or tricks to repair my phone?
Thank you very much!
Edit: The hardware service that said the phone's hardware was fine, said that the last hope for my phone is to do something under the sticker (the sticker under the battery) that needs wired connecting to something... I didn't understand him...
My phone now is without the SE Logo, with just lights on...

I tried with PC Companion, no luck... The battery cannot be charged on the phone so I charged on wall charger... no luck!
It was the display that was the problem with the phone. I got it replaced and now it's working!
Cheers!
I've looked around sufficiently and I have yet to find anything to fix my problem.
I have a Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 MiniPro U20A and I was fiddling with the CWM menu I installed and after a few messages for one of the actions I get a message along the lines of this action will make the menu not work because of an earlier action, I was like oh crap. The damage was done so I decided to continue and just re-flash the original through SEUS.
Long story short I can't access flash mode.<- Yeh see that, that there is a period, I have tried method after method and It wont do it. I guess at times in its current state it runs out of battery and that might be why I get the red blinking light for a while before it continues to the Sony Ericsson logo and stays, it doesn't loop power like when I accidentally soft bricked it my first try at unlocking the boot loader, it just stays until I unplug it and it dies or I pull the battery. Sometimes after I pull the battery and press the power button it vibrates before the logo, but it never goes anywhere.
So that's all of the symptoms I can see, now I want you to tell me if you can help me or if this is just a useless cause so I can go on complaining about the lack of development for the Samsung Vitality a.k.a. Admire that my sister handed down to me when she got her new phone.
Maybe you need a new battery, like I did.

Battery works fine on a full charge but ever since I bricked it I haven't been charging it that much.
I was thinking there could be a way to boot from sd card, but a quick search didn't turn up any results. Any help at all would be appreciated.
Small update, sony pc companion recognizes that it is a sony device but it wont recognize it as an ericsson x10 mini pro it just says unknown device.
so, turns out to access flash mode your phone must have plenty of charge. Sorry for bugging and thanks to munlicar for trying to help.
