I dont know exactly how it works but it says its for if you have already lost your phone without having lookout on it ...ill go read up again on it
Edit...go to the site it says you can install it to the phone you lost thru thier site
Bionix-V 1.3 w/a Splash of Color
idk how to get it back but you should get a app called "Where's my Droid"
Even if its on silent, you can send it a secret text that you decide, like "wake up dude!" and your phone starts ringing for howmany mins u set it.
Get a metal detector since you do not have "find my droid" loaded on it, the metal detector will help you find it and depending on where you are you can rent one for like 20 bucks for a day.
good luck

Good luck with finding your phone, have a nice day and your welcome.
P.s. I cant believe this guy,i go out of my way and research an app for him and he repays the favor with arrogant snide remarks

Lol, yeah carlcj5, it's funny how some people interpret help. Instead of just being thankful, the stress of their lost phone is getting to them...
As far as the lost phone goes, there is no such thing as a stupid question. I think your pretty much screwed though. Other than getting some people to help you perform some FBI search patterns in your yard, hopefully you had insurance on the phone. Either way, good luck and when you do find your phone or get a replacement, listen to the software/app recommendations of the aforementioned members. It's good information..

Plan B was a great suggestion. I realize the OP is stressed/ignorant, but you can go and install the app from your desktop... then use it to find your phone.
Do you use Google Latitude? If so, that can help also. I use it at tailgates to find my buddies in the parking lots.
Wheres My Droid has been on my G1 since Day 1... almost 3 yeas now.
Heck, for that matter, go here and install Wheres My Droid on your phone too.... it will change the audio settings to LOUD.

In a couple of pieces, but you found it.
wait to everyone saying install app from web android market...
Doesn't it ask on the phone to press "install" or "Cancel" ??
Or is that different? I don't have my vibrant right now, so idk, but i'm guessing thats what happens.
It just installs. Plan B would be a crap app if that weren't the case.

So here we are, 2 days later, and it seems you're still refusing to at least even TRY Plan B? Phone's battery is dead by now. Hope you came to your senses before now and tried Plan B before that happened, but i'm not overly confident that that's the case... At least you still have the lawn mower option available.

This is good and bad of the remote app install via market.android.com - it does not prompt you to confirm install on your phone, it does it automagically.
So keep your google account creds safe.

K thanks guys gotcha.
I forget the smallest things
Ok my atrix just slid off my leg and hit the concrete now the screen is busted its unlocked and rooted but I still have insurance on it
The screen is only cracked on the lower leftside along the home buttons and stops before the search button still works ok just
Wondering if its better for me to replace the screen myself or take my chances and send it in on insureance
Im running cm7 Gina reflash something close to stock so it looks stock EXept for the unlocked on the 1rst screen
Hey,
Is everything still working on it? Only thing is the cracked screen? Then follow this:
EZ FIX:
1. Use Fruit Cakes or Pudding to go back to stock build.
2. Find your nearest At&t Device Support Center. (Don't worry the Atrix is always in stock there, scroll to the bottom of the page where it says step 3, find your state, a pdf will open with a list of DSC's in that state...)
3. Take it there and get it replaced!
Yes I'm on AT&T AND every thing still works fine just that its cracked down by the 4 little squares over past the home button but they all still work just looks ugly now problem is its unlocked and rooted if I take it in I might get some greef about that stuff from at&t
But I gess that's what all the warnings were about

Don't look all glum.... You can flash your phone back to stock and re-lock it again, it'll be like you never unlocked or flashed it. Search it up, there's a guide out there!
Ok cool lol yep I'm pretty bummed that the gorrilaz in the glass lost the battle lol i found out that i can get a replacement touch screen cheeper than what at&t is gona charge me so ima going that route

No just suggesting to proof read, instead of making yourself look like the idiot. Little tip for ya! And good luck with the phone. Next time get a Otterbox case. Have been using them for years and they have saved my phones plenty of times. Even dropped a iPhone from 15 feet onto concrete and it was perfectly fine.
soke it in water and claim you dropped it in a puddle on a rainy day or something to that effect, now screen is broke and it will not turn on......problem solved.

He explained it pretty well, plus half the people here have horrible spelling and grammar! And yes the Otterbox case is a phone-saver! When I went with my cousin while she was getting her iPhone 4, the salesman threw his iPhone 4 across the store to get them to buy an Otterbox case!
Does anyone know where to get a replacement bezel? I bought my phone used and it has some nicks and scratches on the bezel. I think I have a mild form of OCD and it drives me insane to see scratches on it. Also what size Torx wrench would I need to take this thing apart? All input appreciated!
The bezel, as in the piece attacked to the screen, or the plastic ring that's slightly higher around it?
The glass piece is about 40~ bucks, the plastic? I've had a quick look on the Google and found nothing, sorry dude.
I am pretty sure it is the plastic around the glass screen. Mine is loose in one of the corners and it is making me upset. I would love to know where to get a new one, but for now, I just have a case on it to make sure it all stays together
My best suggestion would be to just repaint yours for now.
Call verizon if your having audio issues hint hint...I know someone who bought a use phone and it had a few things wrong so they sent them a refurbished one, these phones have a one year manufacture warranty it doesnt matter that you got it used they dont know that.

Hmm, sounds like it would work, but I don't know if I would really want to do that... I might if a replacement bezel is out of the picture.
I know it will work,I bought a used thunder bolt it wouldnt mount to my pc called and told them about they never asked if i bought it used or anything. My friend had the same issues as yourself but i think they may have told them something else was wrong with it and they sent a refurb to them, its up to you but they just send them back and get refunded...
Hmm, the buzzing behind my music is a legitimate enough reason to ask Verizon for a new one. I might go this weekend and see if they will replace it.
You might want to call in they dont have refurbs in store most of the time they overnight them to you.

I will try it out tomorrow after I call Verizon. I am also curious if they will give me a Nexus. I bet if I complain about the build quality of the phone and how I'm not happy with it and maybe threaten not to come back when my contract is up they would give it to me I do still love this phone though, so if they will just replace it I will be happy.

Can you get any piece lifted? If so, try wd40 on a qtip under it. It may be tedious, but sounds like you're at that point anyway.

Oh my that sucks. Not even a razor blade can lift just a corner? I really don't know what else you could do.
are you absolutely sure there's even one on there? googling that protector it looks to be a complete coverage type, so maybe you're mistaking that it's still on there? there's no way that its welded onto your phone; if a razor blade wont get it nothing will
Well i finally managed to get it off after a few hours of messing with it. Don't know why it was stuck on there so well but its off now so that's all that matters.
How did you manage that? I have the same prob. And i even have 2 Screen protectors on my phone
Thanks

I had my iPhone 4 stolen (right in front of my eyes) before I switched to GNote.
I was wondering if there is an app/mod to enable password entry before a phone could be shut down. I guess you can simply take out the battery, if you really wanted to shut down even with this app/mod.
If it is possible, I might consider superglue-ing the backplate to the phone. So, if my phone is stolen, I will hopefully have more time to track my phone and recover it.
Anyone?
Then how would you access your sim or SD card? I would highly suggest just keeping it in your pocket when you go out from now on.
And if you're held up at gunpoint just give it to him and chalk it up to the cost of staying alive.

I was at McD's with my brother and my girlfriend. My brother was sitting across from me, and the phone was on the table inches away from me.
This teenager came up behind my brother, reached over him across the table to grab my phone and took off. We chased after him outside. He sprayed us with a bear spray (stronger than pepper spray), but I had glasses on, so I still caught him. But while we were struggling, he tossed the phone to another kid and I chased after him. By this time, I was too tired and they both got away.
I lost my phone, ruined a very nice coat and shoes because bear spray won't come out of it, and police lost my driver's license while taking my statement.
It was a very sh***y day, and if you don't have anything constructive to say in response to my question, don't reply. I know I won't be able to access the SIM card and SD card, but I rarely ever need to anyways, unless there is a major issue. I will deal with it then.
Jesus man thats terrible I am really sorry to hear about that. Ill keep my phone much closer to me now.
As for those kids you should have gave the one you caught something to remember. Something he will remember for the rest of his life.
I would have taken his left eye with my thumb.
Get a pistol for next time and he'll stop one way or the other. Preferably the other imo. One less wannabe thug making babies.

You are missing my point. If someone powers off the phone or pulls the battery, GPS tracking stops.
I want to make it as hard as possible to power off the phone.
Try Visidon - it's a face unlocking app - i use it to lock my settings, play, email and other apps you want to face lock
