I just installed busybox and then my phone is rebooting again and again!!
What can I do to stop it?
I don't know how to boot it into recovery. I did it once (before I installed busybox) by clicking the back button when it's starting, but it's not working now.
I tried to do it from quick boot (while my phone stays on for a minute or less) but it doesn't work.
I have xperia x10 rooted to android 2.2 with cyanogenmod 6
thanks in advance

4. Connect micro usb into your phone
5. Release back button
A solid greed LED will show if you have done it correctly.

Just a tip for you on this one
Disconnect the USB from the PC and plug it into the phone, do the steps above but at step 4, plug the USB (already connected to the phone) into your PC its so much easier.
I fixed it..thank you guys
hello everyone
i srsly need help right now
i was using stock rooted rom 2.3 and i downloaded tripnmiui 2.2 latest version and i flashed it.. .. bt later i realized tht i shldnt hav flashed it through recovery and all..
and then after flashing it i rebooted my phone, after the SE logo it reboots again and again. thn i tried to RESTORE frm recovery bt i dnt knw wht happened that im unable to mount the sd card or even restore from it. i cnt even flash back to stock 2.3 via flashtool.
i dnt knw wt to do. please help ppl.
P.S im a noob
You were trying to use the 2.3 baseband on a non-2.3 rom. That's why it kept rebooting.
To fix it, just keep trying flashtool, PC Companion, or SEUS.

Install the x10 adb drivers and use flashtool should be good to go

Sorry if I sound patronizing or rude or anything, but have you used flashtool before? You open it up, hit flash, choose your firmware, hit ok, when a box comes up about connecting in flash mode, you plug the phone whilst holding the back button. It should start flashing automatically.
With regards to the phone going into flash mode (green led) whenever you plug it in, mine used to do that until I flashed gingerbread on it. Its normal I think, but you should still hit back if you want to get into flash mode.

So basicly i unplug then replug in flasg mode ? Or i wait for vibration hold back key and insert USB ?
Sent from my X10i using xda premium
Please follow the guide that is given. Just like normal flashing, the phone must be off (or you can take out your battery to make sure it's off). Before you plug the USB, hold back button and insert the USB on phone. Release oback button after flashtool detect your device.

Ok so my buddy has an x10i and we are just trying to get it to 2.3 and for the life of me we cannot get it into flash mode. it shows green led then goes off and then shows orange led then shows charging icon. any help would be great thanks.
u can use SEUS to upgrade to 2.3 and then root it !!
Easiest way I found
Turn off phone
Plug USB into phone but not pc
Hold down back key
Plug USB into pc
Enjoy 2.3.3

have you xrecovery 0.3? the new one, maybe do a factory reset and wipe all the things and try it again. if that even not work try wipe dalvik cach and fix permissions
my phone dont enter the XRecovery !!!
what can i do ?
no any other way to install new kernel for add Xrecovery with FlashTool ?
My Status:
1.My phone hang on Sony Ericsson logo
2.My phone cant enter in Xrecovery mode.
3.I cant install new kernel with Flashtool bcoz debugging mode is off.
I had the same problem. I made a thread about it and the solution is on the second page. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1340161
Basically you got a boot loop and will need to flash a new stock rom and root it again and then put your custom roms if you want.
The solution goes until unlocking a bootloader. If you don't need this, don't do it.

Alright, one thing is what you can do is.
use pc companion and going back to the original Android 2.3
and start all over again.
PC companion asks you to drag down USB,how do you do that,if you are stuck in the start up screen?

No... Just turn off your phone and take out the battery and unplug the USB.
Now hold the back button and put the battery in, it will boot in recovery mode, the green led on the top will light up.
Here you need to plug in the USB quick and flash the stock rom with the flashtool (I suggest having it already selected and the mouse on the button FLASH for quicker use, because the phone does not stay in recovery mode for long, at least mine didnt,)
