X10i On 2.1 - XPERIA X10 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Ok so my buddy has an x10i and we are just trying to get it to 2.3 and for the life of me we cannot get it into flash mode. it shows green led then goes off and then shows orange led then shows charging icon. any help would be great thanks.

u can use SEUS to upgrade to 2.3 and then root it !!

Easiest way I found
Turn off phone
Plug USB into phone but not pc
Hold down back key
Plug USB into pc
Enjoy 2.3.3

i dnt knw wt to do. please help ppl.
P.S im a noob
You were trying to use the 2.3 baseband on a non-2.3 rom. That's why it kept rebooting.
To fix it, just keep trying flashtool, PC Companion, or SEUS.

Install the x10 adb drivers and use flashtool should be good to go

Sorry if I sound patronizing or rude or anything, but have you used flashtool before? You open it up, hit flash, choose your firmware, hit ok, when a box comes up about connecting in flash mode, you plug the phone whilst holding the back button. It should start flashing automatically.
With regards to the phone going into flash mode (green led) whenever you plug it in, mine used to do that until I flashed gingerbread on it. Its normal I think, but you should still hit back if you want to get into flash mode.

[Q] Please help recovering a phone

Hello,
A friend of mine took his phone to a shop to have it unlocked.
Well not a success story.
He got back, the black light is on but the phone does not seem to do anything and does not respond any button, short, long press, we tried.
Sorry tech data : xperia mini, he thinks it did run 2.1
Please give us hints to:
1. recover his phone
2. unlock it
Many thanks
Can you get it into flash mode (where the led is solid green) at all and then use seus to do a restore to clean stock rom?

Download, sony ericsson update service (not pc companion), switch off phone completely, start seus, connect usb cable to computer, with phone off hold the back button while connecting usb to phone, even if phone says its got latest update click next and it should re-install android 2.1

It does not even respond to the power on button, seems as it's always powered on, but without anything appearing on the screen. As this type has built in battery we have to wait until the battery does discharge...
Also tried the official flasher, it does recognize the phone, but does not send it to recovery mode.

[Q] Can someone tell me?

Hi, can anyone tell me which rom is compatible with both stock and nAa kernel? I wanted to revert back to android 2.1
Sent from my E10i using XDA
revert back to stock 2.1? try use SEUS, it will detect you'll have updated software and you choose install.
There's only an exit button on seus

last day i use SEUS to revert my x10mp,there's exit and install button. but somewhere in xda they say there's also repair button. did you enter the flash mode correctly?
If you put your phone in flashmode then SEUS will let you do a "repair". To do that, turn off the phone, hold the back key then without releasing connect the USB, keep holding the back key. SEUS will notice the phone and ask if you want to repair it.

I don't think it exists a stock rom that could run with Nan kernel. You have to use SEUS as written previously. Pay attention to the led light it should be steady green when you start in flash mode (back button pressed insert the USB cable) it should recognize your device as E10i than choose repair.

Already said that seus just have an exit button

Phone is bricked in flashtool stuck on flashing loader

Hi,
I have the SE X10i, one day i tried to power it on and it showed the 3 flash red light, so i charge the battery and then tried to power on the phone.
The phone vibrate once and nothing going up, the screen stay black, no light at the keys.
I tried to install new rom via SERUS, it fails.
tried install via flashtool and it stuck on flashing loader.
As i understand from the flashtool the phone can get into flashmode.(back key and insert the usb cable).
Any help please how to wake up this phone alive.
Thanks.

In flashtool select the Rom you want to flash
Remove battery
Insert USB cable
When software asks you to press back, hold back while putting battery back in, should go straight to flash mode and flash

Also try downloading another stock Rom, maybe the one you have has became corrupted?
