Hi guys
I'm writing because I've got a x10 mini pro to play with and want to make it usable (root, tweak, etc.)
Its numbers are:
Model: u20a
Firmware: 2.1-update1
Baseband: M76XX-TSNCJOLYM-53404006
Kernel: 2.6.29 [email protected] #1
Compilation: 2.0.2.A.0.24
Phone detected there's a new "os patch", but don't want to download before asking. So:
1- Does it worth to upgrade? Root will work after upgrading?
2- I must say I'm not very familiar with android and I have Ubuntu (and a Windows Virtualbox machine). Is there anything that will root my phone easily?
Thanks a lot in advance

Hi guys,
I have a Xperia Mini Pro with this configuration...
Model: U20i
Firmware: 2.1-update1
Baseband: M76XX-TSNCJOLYM-53404006
kernel: 2.6.29
I'm still a noob at installing new versions of Android.
Can anyone tell me how i update the Baseband to M76XX-TSNCJOLYM-53404015?
I already have it rooted, i just can't install modified androids because of this baseband!
Thanks! Any help is welcome!
You need to update the phone using the SEUS app. This will upgrade your baseband but will also wipe any existing mods & data.
Simply Run the SEUS program and follow the intructions given on screen. Once you've updated, your baseband will be updated.

Not sure why your baseband isn't already, having re-read the post you say it already has 2.1 update-1 which is wierd. Try updating the phone again anyway it might solve your problem
You can update with pc companion
Sent from my U20i using XDA App
Try updating via PC Companion or SEUS, like that:

You need to change your build.prop file to fool SE that you have a different version so they'll send you the 015 version. To do this you must:
1. Root the phone.
2. Google and download a build.prop file for your phone (exact model).
3. Change your current /system/build.prop with that one using RootExplorer (or similar).
4. Reboot the phone.
5. Update the phone with PC Companion.
I have Sony Ericsson Xperia mini and I can't root it
Specifications:
Sony Ericsson Xperia Mini
Android OS, v2.3 (Gingerbread)
Build Number: 4.0.A.2.377
Model number: ST15l
Kernel version: 2.6.32.9-perl [email protected] #1
Baseband version: 8x55A-AAABQOAZM-20302204-47
Allow installing Unknown sources is checked and USB Debugging too. I tried with Gingerbreak 1.2 several times, waited about 1h every time and didn't worked. Thanks in advance.
you have to first unlock bootloader if you want root.
Go here
If your unsure about anything then just ask there
Yes but there in info writes that it is compatible with Model no: ST15i and stock SE FW:4.0.A.2.368 and My Model number: ST15l and Build Number: 4.0.A.2.377
I had .377 as well. I used the s1tool method to unlock my bootloader with no problems
thanks for the info. gonna try now!

The X10i is (as far as I recall, the BIG Xperia X10, which has it's own forum on XDA) This forum is for the Mini version of the X10 (the E10 X10 Mini and the U20 X10 Mini Pro)
Firmware version 2.1update1 = Eclair, not Donut
Get flashtool and install it.
(If you have PC Companion or Sony Update service on your PC, you will already have the appropriate drivers, otherwise install Gordon's Gate drivers from the drivers subfolder in the location you installed flashtool)
Root your phone and install busybox (rooting with flashtool will automatically do the second too, rooting with other tools will usually not)
Unlock bootloader (if it is safe to do so, link to instuctions are in the kernel thread)
Flash an appropriate Gingerbread kernel.
Install an appropriate Gingerbread ROM from CWM
Install appropriate Google Apps (link can be found in the ROM thread)
From CWM do:Wipe data/factory reset, Wipe Cache, Wipe Dalvik-cache and Wipe Battery-stats (the last two will be found in the 'advanced'-menu in CWM.
It *may* be necessary to disable your anti-virus for a moment when you go through some of these steps, because technically speaking, rooting and unlocking the bootloader are considered suspicious behaviour and may trigger a block from your Anti-Virus software.
Have fun
Like SmG67 said, you are in the wrong forum section mate. Here is the right one for X10i : Sony Ericsson Xperia X10
Hello There,
Little problem here. When I try to update via PC Companion, it tells me that I already have the latest version, bit I don't think I do. Truth be told, I already messed up a lot with this phone in the past, but I calmed down, because it got so slow to the point of being unusable, Then I reset to factory, but there must be something wrong left. The info I have in the "About Phone" is:
Model Number: St 15 i
Android Version: 2.3.4
BaseBand Version:8x55A-AAABQOAZM-203028D-56
Kernel Version: 2.6.32.9-perf
Build Number: 4.0.2.A.0.42
Any hints, please ?

The phone you have is not the x10mini (2010 device, E10i), but the 2011 Experia mini (without x10). It should be updatable to ICS as far as I'm aware, but that not only depends on your phone, but may also have to do with your carrier, and in how much they customised the firmware for your phone. Look for the Xperia Mini forum in the Sony Section of the main forum, they may be able to help you further.
Thank you

Hi all, I have a problem with my xperia x10 mini E10i. I had a problem of signal change rom. The phone does not recognize the simcard, and gets no signal.
I read on different forums that the solution is to downgrade the phone to 1.6 and then upgrade again to 2.1
So I did, I did downgrade to 1.6 and then I upgraded to 2.1 with sony pc companion.
But the problem is not solved. Still does not recognize the simcard.
I think everything is correct:
Model: E10i
Firmware version: 2.1-update1
Base band: M76XX-TSNCJOLYM-XXXXXXXX
Kernel version: 2.6.29 SEMCUser @ SEMCHost No. 1
compile version: 2.1.1.A.0.6
Anyone know what happens to my phone? I have done what is said in the forums, but still not working. Could be broken sim reader? Or is not normal that the reader is broken?
thank you very much
The problem is fixed!!
