Hey XDA,
I frequently visit this forum just rarely post but I do have a problem. Today, I decided to get rid of sc 2.9.2 in favor of community rom 1.3, to which I flashed 1.0 then upgraded to 1.3. My question is now that my vibrate when i receive an incoming text does not work. All settings are correct.
Heres the details about my phone:
Firmware Version: 2.2.1
Baseband Version: S:i500.04.v.ed01
kernel version: 2.6.32.9
Build: ED01
I am running Community Rom 1.3 with OTB 1.2 oc'd to 1.4ghz.
Any other details can be provided.
Does anyone have any insight as to why I cant vibrate during incoming txt. Also vibrate does work for haptic feedback.
Thanks,
Scott
I am not sure about the community ROM, but the stock messaging app has a setting to enable/disable vibrate for notifications.
Open the messaging app
Choose settings
Scroll down to the bottom and ensure Vibrate is enabled

Hey. I been searching all morning in XDA and on google and can't find out if this is a bug that is specific to me or to the new kernals being released for the vibrant. I am running Trigger 2.8.1 with High Voltage theme.
Vibrate (when I get calls or texts) worked fine when it was like that. But after trying out the most up to date versions of the following kernals: Overstock, Tigers Blood, & Dragon, my vibrate no longer works? Could it have anything to do with those the way those kernals run BLN? Or is it something else?
Is there a way to fix it? I really like the OC/UV options that are available.
This may sound stupid but have you check under setting to see if vibrate and haptic feedback are enabled.
I am new to the smartphone world. maybe this is a stupid questions. I have rooted my phone and flash the overstock 1.5 kernel. I also download the BLN app to enable the BLN. But when i have a missed call, my LED keys still do not light up. what else do I need to do to enable the led notification for missed calls? Thanks.
Running the 7/04 build my text notification will go off over and over for no reason. I get no incoming message, just the notification. A reboot or battery pull does not fix it either. I had to turn the volume off with the rocker, not a widget, and leave it that way for a few minutes to make it stop. Happened to me twice yesterday.
Hope this helps someone else if it happens to you.
I'm surprised your getting notifications at all on that build...on 7/4 mine wouldn't give me any messages until I turn the screen on....either way it has been fixed on the 7/7 build...if you like the 7/4 builds flash the newest one...a lot of fixes..and it just plain rocks!
Sent from my SCH-I500 using XDA App
Please make sure to also flash the 07/04 .13 Nemesis kernel unless you don't want your mic to work lol
My notification tone would play constantly when I had a new voice message. Had to make a call to get it to shut up. No known solutions that I can find.
Switched to Andmer's MIUI ROM that can be found here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1150045
Hi guys, I am running GS2 KH3 Exynos 5.3 jeffrey speedfrey 3.0 kernel and JKAY 8.2 deluxe installed. I am not getting screen wake up on emails and FB notifications. I do get the icons on the notifications tab which i can see when i press the home button. Screen wake works for SMS/MMS and obviously phone calls all ok. Any ideas?

as far as i know it will only work with missed calls and SMS/MMS.
(correct me if i am wrong)
It worked for me when I was using 2.3.3 and stopped ever since i started using 2.3.4. Just wondering if anyone else has experienced the same.
Sound + vibration sms notification not working in XXLPH and other stock samsung ICS builds. I can't get vibration notification to work when in sound mode (in silent it works but I want both!! ) In gingerbread roms there was a "Vibration always on" option, but I have looked through all settings in stock XXLPH settings / sms app and can't get **** to work! And NO, I don't wanna use another app since I like the stock one.
Anyone?
Install Sound Manager v2 from market->enter the app ->menu button->vibration->check your preferences.
Hope it helps
