My son's Optimus T is running Cyanogen (it's his background, Light Green) and he's got killer Linpack Scores (over 30!).
Is there an official Cyanogen mod out there?
(I have an Optimus V).
Thanks.

Linpack over 30 for that setup sounds a little high, like by 20. Are you sure? If so how? I have heard of no one over 10.5 and that is barely if at all stable.

Here is a link to a short video review I just posted of the LG Optimus T with the Megatron ROM and overclocked to 806 mhz!

I would go to youtube from there to watch the video in high def (it's small on my blog).
I will also be doing a video soon showing everyone how you go through those steps, so when you are confused by the written instructions you can use my video to supplement it. Click an ad or two if you like it!

Thanks man!
This weekend I should have my next video going over some of the steps for rooting/installing Roms.
I'm going to do my best to get my new video (going over some basics of root/recovery/rom/OC) this weekend, but unfortunately my girlfriend is home all weekend, and we live in a small one bedroom. I'll probably do it anyways, even though she'll give me a hard time for nerding out.

Hey everyone, finally got my video up. Sorry it's a bit crude but I was trying to finish it in the time my girlfriend was in the shower! This is a video supplement to my original blog post, so please use both together. This isn't a full step by step tutorial, but I hope i've clarified to most confusing parts!

I love this ROM it is beautiful
it probably wont set that high it will always freeze i have had 4 of these phones ( i lost or the broke the other ones at bars) and the highest safe over clock it 806 but 2 of the phones would not ovwer clock past 768 depends on the phone but 806 is the highest i have ever been able to over clock the phone an thats with the ROM and a few custom kernels.
PS i love this ROM
Hey just wondering
Im new to rooting but just rooted my lg optimus s and im trying to find a rom for it cause im bored of the same old stock one. im just wondering if this megatron rom will work on it
My stock O1 boots in a half the time of your phone, thats weird since it is stock rom... isnt supposed that modded roms have faster boot times???
Maybe you have many programs that run at startup... i have just a few apps installed that runs in startup
ON my old Optimus V. the Bumblebee 2.4 ROM works great. loads fast has no issues. but on my new Optimus V it had a black screen. so I had to search for a different Kernel to get the screen to work. but the Rom is still very sluggish. takes forever to load.
My new Optimus V is acting exactly like MY optimus S.. same deal both run Bumblebee 2.4 slow.
what rom should I put on my NEW V? I dont like CM7 because of all the bugs.
Please Help!
Hi there. I just got a P500 from work and noticed it still has Froyo which i can not stand (even my old Milestone has Gingerbread thanks to Kaldaban and CM 7.1).
In my country (Argentina) there is still no official 2.3 update. What 2.3.x custom rom would you recommend that offers stability and battery life? (remember, it's my work phone, i can not f*ck it up!).
Thanks!

well, oxygen ROM is best gingerbread IMO
But, I still like devoid froyo final - it's most stable, bugfree, and best battery life
There are basically 3 main ones. CM, phoenix, and oxygen. IMO they are all good and just depends on ur taste.

Hi guys, can someone tell me how to get my P500 perform fastest it can? What ROM is fastest, and i don't care about battery, just want it to be the fastest it can! And also what aditional tweeks and programs/kernels to instal to make it faster?
In this moment i am using mic_os 6.5.7 android 2.3.5 CPU 825/245 Mhz Performance, with only settings, LG keyboard and setCPU running apps using 83MB of RAM alltogether, highest score i got is 1317 points, and about 1250 average.
Is this the fastest this phone can go...? :/ I have seen some posts where some guys got it too like 1500! That is my magic target number! Soo, any help..?

I'm getting 1800 score in quadrant
NightlyFourE + Franco.K #4 + Ungaze data2sd
Try popdog123 oxygen 2.6 with Franco #4. 825/480 performance/sio.
Add ungaze data2sd with 1gb ext4 and p500 will not run fast. It will FLY SLOW.

try this : see my signature there the neocore result, and the rom name too
Use cyanogenmod nightly @ 787MHz + PERFORMANCE Governer
Thx guys for replies, i will test these combinations one by one and post results here...
Also will test new ICS beta4.
This is what i came up with till now, will update it soon! If you have any more suggestions, please tell me...
I also tried to play HVGA (with sound) version of GTA 3 on all ROMS exept ICS and i must say that the Perfectpeso2.2 was frikin fastest, still lags pretty much on GTA 3 but playable. too bad in this one is clock cap at 806 mhz...:/
And i am pretty dissapointed in ICS results, cuz it is soo nice looking and fresh but damn slow...:/
i didn't use Ungaze cuz it just makes files between phone and SD card move more faster, right? Soo i don't think it will improve gaming speed...
i will put an ICS to my phone to test it for few days and see if it is nice, but after that, i am definately going on Perfectpeso! At least ps1, and Mame 32 games will run smooth now!
And if anyone knows a way to play full HVGA version of GTA3 on P500 please reply! But i think that ripped version will now run smooth! (the one with lower graphics and no sound)
Results: I choose the best results i got from these tests...and exept ICS there is a little difference in power between these ROM's as you can see in benchmarks:
1.NightlyFourE + Franco.K #4
825Mhz
a few runs
Quadrant standard - around 1300
3 runs
Neocore - 62
2. Perfectpeso2.2
806Mhz
3 runs
Quadrant Standard - 1336
3 runs
Neocore 806Mhz - 70.8
3.CM 9 Ics Beta 4
806Mhz
3 runs
Quadrant Standard - 946
4.oxygen 2.3.2
806Mhz
3 runs
quadrant standard - 1307
3 runs
neocore - 63.1
Hello,
I've been using CM7 on my optimus 2X for a month or so now and is by far the best ROM i've found for it but have been unable to find a stable enough kernel for overclocking it...
It was a while ago that i bothered overclocking it so i can't remember the names but everyone i used either slowed the phone down or stopped me from being able to do hardly anything...
Now i don't mind changing roms just as long as overclocking works and the rom is good, What are peoples favorites or would i just stick with CM7 with out overclocking? I'd much prefer to have an extra 0.2-0.4GHZ if possible.
Thanks, Jamie.
