Mobile Network ... help - XPERIA X10 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Ok,since i flashed few roms i don't know how to make my mobile network working while i got wi-fi and radio working perfectly... i type in right setting in my apn screen where i should do it and still nothing says there is no internet setting while i have them in and checked on their screen... it's not working with any rom and baseband... if anyone know how to solve this problem it would be very appriciated and helpfull :/ please give a link or something that follows to fix of problem cause i cant find any in search and tell me what exectly i should do

like what rom are you using right now and what baseband version and maybe a screenshot

Try this the settings are at the bottom of the page and try the ATT settings first

I live in other country so i can't use that setting :/ and now another thing is that i use .58 baseband i tryed to change baseband nothing happens still no signal ... now i am usio miui and even there it dosent work. :/ i am really pissed :/

Did you try the auto settings. you should be in Firmware 2.1.1.A.0.16 BB 2.1.58

Sorry but I don't no the setting for any others yet but I'm still looking just call your provider or a friend in your area if there on the same network then the settings should be the same. and finding the setting shouldn't be that much different then on your phone.

I think you missunderstood,i know settings my self i type them in and check the box for them. When i open browswer it says no internet connection and there is one checked but still nothing. i typed everything correctly and nothing. In about says mobile network:unknown.... :/

Try going to Settings/Wireless & Networks/Mobile Networks/Network Mode/Click GSM/WCDMA preferred/Then Click middle button on phone/restart phone. If that doesn't work then do this
Settings/Wireless & Networks/Mobile Networks/Network Mode/Click WCDMA only/Then Click middle button on phone/restart phone
Or this
Settings/Wireless & Networks/Mobile Networks/Network Mode/Click GSM only/Then Click middle button on phone/restart phone Waiting a few between reboots to see if it worked
Double check that you saved your settings in APN
Or try going back to Firmware 2.1.1.A.0.16 BB 2.1.58 (stock ) to see if that works it my be your rom also read the rom post there maybe a problem fix there.
Some custom roms do have that problem at first
Sorry but I only check out stock stuff and some modified stock stuff not custom roms.
But if you go back to GENERIC/GLOBAL and if it works just go from there.

You know that a stock GENERIC/GLOBAL Firmware will get the new 2.3 update from Sony in a couple months it's said to be good. FYI

In Abount/Status it says Mobile Network type : Unknown and Mobile network state disconnected :/ i dont know why :/ still cant work :/

It looks like you're having issue with the baseband. If the baseband is unknown, go to the Dev section and have a look on the main thread, there u will find the link to baseband thread l. Then download the appropriate baseband config file and flash it on ur device.
Other option is to repair the phone via SEUS.

Do you have a file similar to this: (This one is my'n) Look in Titanium backup or rom manager what ever you use.
Checkin Service 2.1-update1

Or something similar this is my'n but if I didn't have it my internet will not work but everything else does. i.e. wifi,gps.sms.calls.usb tether (pc to phone)
And I have theses if it helps.
Only change the setting that are described and are Case Sensitive leave all others as they are. and reboot one or two times to see waiting a few between reboots. if one does not work just delete apn. If (Guest) does not work at first just leave blank
Operator: Telenor (gprs)
APN: internet.vodafone.net
Username: guest
Password: guest
mysmtp.vodafone.se
SMTP Server: smtp.euromail.se
Operator: Telenor (3g)
APN: service.vodafone.net
Username: guest
Password: guest
mysmtp.vodafone.se
SMTP Server: smtp.euromail.se
Good luck
If you can't fix it I would just go back to stock rom and wait for the update 2.3 you will get it real so before USA.

Seus can not repair custom roms. Stock ONLY

i had the same problem eberyzhing was working except mobile internet.on my stock rom i installed apn backup and did a backup of apn.on custom rom i just restored apn and mobile internet worked.i hope this will help.

Have you tried or asked for a new Sim card from your provider. debranding/unlocking your phone only voids your warranty nothing else.
Also check your plan. Are you in a black out area no towers some places you can make calls but no web
Have you checked these settings
Some USA/European/Asian/Canada Networks. Settings/Wireless & Networks/Mobile Networks/Network Mode/Click GSM/WCDMA preferred/Then Click middle button on phone/restart phone. OR
European/Asian/Some Canada Networks
Settings/Wireless & Networks/Mobile Networks/Network Mode/Click WCDMA only/Then Click middle button on phone/restart phone.
