ok so i'm on wolf's 2.2 rom.. and earlier i was on z'z rom.. i can easily transfer all apps to sd..i mean all of them...
my friend just got his galaxy fit running 2.2.. but he cant move some apps to sd card... even those which i can easily move to sd card.. is this a feature in custom roms or what? why he cant move the same apps to sd card while i can?
Oh that's something new, I thought all samsung phones are supported for app to sd.
Which galaxy ? The S or the Ace ?
no you got me wrong..i meant that his galaxy fit running froyo does move apps to sd but not all of them which i can easily move to sd card.. my other friend has lg optimus 1 running froyo also cannot move certain apps to sd card.. while i can move the same apps to sd card.. i noticed that even the apps which do not support move to sd card by its developer can also be moved in custom roms.. but not in stock roms...
i think its a feature
Even though you move it (When the developer does not support) it will still beak the app. So there's no point of moving it

What!?! App2SD will not break any app ever! if anything widgets associated with the app wont work but if the app is messed up all you need to do is move back to phone.
Im guessing you are using a CM ROM, Cyanogen has a different utility for app2sd which allows you to at least partially move almost any app (even some system apps and plug-ins) to SD.

If I (or anyone for that matter!) help you, dont be afraid to press THANKS!

it lets me move the item out of data off the internal storage to my sd card BUT then when i go to play the game it force closes what am i doing wrong? i thought could just move game to external sd but that didnt work maybe has to be in certain folder or something? some one help thanks
Hm... how exactly did you move the data to the sd card? Did you move the whole app or just the data to the sd card?

i just moved what i found in data, thats what i mean i dont know exactly what im supposed to move and exactly where on the external sd
Did you use the in the rom included app?
Sent from my X10i using XDA App
Moving the apk from data only removed the executable, essentially uninstalling it and leaving the links, so the apps wont work. To move to SD go to Settings>Applications>Manage Applications, then select the app and press the tab that says move to SD. You need to put the files back in data first now and you may even have to reinstall them.

Please .. :O
and yeah.
i tried adding the apps2sd feature by Kitchen but the ROM installation gave error :/
Why do you want it compiled with the rom? Just flash darktremors a2sd after you flash the rom.

First, you have to make sure that your SD card is partitioned.
(If you want to test, EXT-2 will be the most successful as some SD cards doesnt support EXT-3 or 4)
Second, flash darktremor app2sd zip, DONT USE THE BETAS, USE THE LATEST STABLE BUILD. Because beta's have bugs. tested.
The one im using without bugs on my O1:
Version 2.7.5.2-1
http://www.darktremor.info/files/a2sd/dtapps2sd-2.7.5.2-1-signed.zip
Reference:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=715940
Reboot.
The apps wont be in the EXT-Partition for now!
From market, download and install an app called "A2SDGUI"
open it, and the on the first screen (the left-most tab), you see a button called "Apps are on internet storage!" with a dimmed light bulb
Press it (to change it to "Apps are on SD card!") and you will be warned with a message "Are you sure?"
Press yes, and the phone will reboot.
Go back to A2SDGUI and check, the button you pressed will be changed to "Apps are on internet storage" with a brightened light bulb
Your apps which are displayed as "on Phone" (not "on SD" in froyo's app to sd) are on EXT-Partition now, enjoy
Well, i flashed the prerooted rom from doomlord and followed every step. And then I restored my apps, and when trying to move, for example, angry birds it says that my storage space isnt enough. So I decided to wipe my sd card and try again and got the same message.
Could some1 please help solving this problem?
some apps/games, u cant move them.

Yes, I know not every app is movable. But as far as I know, Angry Birds is a movable app.
I'm getting the same problem. CM7 allows many apps to move to the SD card. Flash used to go from 12mb to 60kb!!

It's a feature that's been removed from the latest version of Android. Samsung has released updates to bring this feature back but it won't include the data of the app which means you'll only save very little space. I would suggest you use Folder Mount app which will move app data but your phone needs root for it to work.
A friend of me has the samsung galaxy s5839i some times while the mobile run normally at menu e.t.c. are became tooooo slow at menu and at all.
These time the free memory from uninstall apps menu it is 20-25mb and if i free some of this memory it is became to normal speeds like it was before.
What you suggest me to do to make the phone work just fine everytime?
My friend it was buy one sd card 8gb without any difference.
And the fact is that it doesn't install tooo many apps.
It has install only 4-5 apps like(facebook, lighter, battery, aquamail e.t.c.)
The mobile it has the official android 2.3.6.
Do you suggest me to root it and if i did what apps you suggest me to uninstall that it doesn't bother the fuction of mobile?
Thank you very much .

If you want space, then root the phone and use an app called link2sd to move apps to SD card and free space. If you want free RAM space to make it more smoother, don't open too many apps in one go and stop any unnessesary processes and use a task killer e.g. Clean Master. If you want ultimate smoothness flash a custom ROM!

Custom rom like????
And my friend want the maximun smoothness.
If i can make it smoothness only with root and move all apps to sd then can you tell me a link to the link of root file for 2.3.6 and the link for unroot file.
The root or unroot became from recovery menu of the mobile correct?

Your all questions will be answerd by reading some Guides
Go to our General Section and Read some Guides related to Increase Internal memory ...and all..
Then Head to our Development section for Custom Roms
Choose as You taste Suits
Comparing Roms are not allowed in XDA ...
Thanks

Head towards these For Increasing internal memory
And For Root and UnRoot
No this increase internal memory of this mobile is really hard procedure and risky.
I want an EASY and very really workable way.
If simply root(NOT custom roms or anything else) it and move all the apps into 8gb sd card can i see any chance at the speed of the phone?
Can you tell me if this app can move apps to sd card to a samsung gt-s5839i even with stock unrooted android 2.3.6 doesn't allow me to do it?

See which ever Guide i had Provided is already tested and workable so do it on your own risk
And without rooting nothing is possible
About speed, yes your speed will be decrease little bit
And about App link2sd is most preferable .
So you thing if i ONLY ROOT the mobile and simply move most apps into the sd card the phone will work stable and fast correct?

No the speed will not remain as it is it will decrease little bit.. because of moving apps forcefully .
The speed when i power on the phone?
Correct?
When the phone it was powered on and it was scanned the sd card then the mobile it doesn't be so slow as it is now that internal memory it was fulled except 20-25mb correct?

might be it is just lazy
clear your ram
keep some free memory space in mobile
stop the apps that keep running in background
