Howdy boys and girls! Are you playing Bugville? Want some free coinage? Got a rooted or adb connected device? Then dig on this....
The attached save game file should brighten your day...
Make a copy of your original first, unzip the save.dat file attached and then copy it to your /data/data/com.glu.android.bugville/app_save/ directory.
You'll need root explorer or something similar.
When you run for the first time, it will complain that the download is incomplete. Just select "resume" and then play. You should have around 20 million coins and a couple million acorns.
I havent tested this on any other device and I make no warranties or guarantees other than the one that doing this may screw up your current bugville game.
dont the coins and acorns cost real money... so that would make this warez, no?

I was thinking the same thing. Stealing in-app purchases from a free game really isn't any different than stealing a game that costs money up front.
Yes, one may purchase them. They may also be gotten free.
These are not stolen nor pilfered nor associated with anyone other than myself.
I merely found a cheat button and pumped up my stats. If that is warez, well then I apologize and will delete this post.

.....That's true, you can get them in-game for free. I am kinda conflicted on this one. I think this may be a bit of a grey area.
I would suggest maybe providing your game cheat method, but not posting any files?
Just my 2 cents, you can take it or leave it.

Totally simple...
In the app-save directory are the game scripts in Lua. One of the startup properties is enableCheats.
After launch, while the game is loading, I saved a change of the property from false to true. The game finishes loading, runs that script and bang, cheat button visible. Go nuts. Lather rinse repeat.
Not looking for anything other than to provide info.
Definitely don't mean to imply you were doing otherwise. I apologize if I came off accusatory. Thanks for sharing .

See if you have what it takes to Conquer the Confusion.

Thanks for listening!

I think I'd rather watch paint dry than play this game... wait...
edit: I think this game should be called "What constitutes a game confusion"
Sorry to hear that =(
It has gotten some great reviews and most folks seem to love it, but I understand it may not be for everyone. Sometimes it is hard to get a feel for a game without playing it.
Take care,
Paul
It's an original idea. That counts for a lot these days. If it makes it to one of the Android markets I might give it a try.

Didn't realize it was your game, sorry; I was a bit harsh. I could see this game doing well in the Android Market if it were free but ad supported. There is a lot of competition in the Android Market but the Nook Market is fresh territory, good luck!

I probably did not make it very clear...but Color Confusion is also on the Android Market....both free and paid. It is also on the Amazon Market.

Today's news was related more to getting it on the Nook. It took quite a bit of time and perseverance, but is finally there.
Hope you get a chance to check it out =)

So I take it that because it was the OP's game you will tone down the insult? If he never told you it was his would you still carry on insulting it?

I would give constructive criticism, if any at all, when talking to the developer, but while among peers I'm more apt to be just out for the laughs.
As far as the game is concerned, I downloaded the free version from the market and I don't have any constructive criticism to give. I figure I am not in the games intended market, I prefer tower defense games, RPGs and puzzles, but to each their own...
I wanted to show this game to my wife because she paints. I downloaded the free version through the Android Market, but it did not work on CM7 with LCD density of 180 or 160. The assets seemed to be misaligned, and it was hard to drag things.
I'm on MIUI now witch is at 240, i'll give it another go.

Klack107,
Thanks for checking it out, and that is interesting about the alignment issues. I will see if I can get to the bottom of it. Thanks for the feedback !! Much appreciated.

I just downloaded todays update. When I opened the app, I got a message that my phone is rooted (which it is) and to return to original firmware. Then the game shuts down and you can't play it. Is this going to start happening with all market apps??
Anyway to still play the game with the update and stay rooted??
Best thing to do would be to leave a 1 star rating for game with your comment. if the devs get enough they should stop caring if its rooted.
1 Star Review!!
Just did it, and there many others doing the same thing!!
Good call! Hopefully it will get the developers to do something about it!!
as much as I agree that its annoying, I understand where the dev is coming from. If you want to prevent your users from cheating, thats probably the easiest way to do it.
Cheating?
How does having a rooted phone enable any form of cheating?
The game plays the same as when the phone wasn't rooted??
It's not just annoying, it's also probably not legal. When i bought the game this was not a condition of purchase, what they did was change the rules months after they had no problem selling it to me. It would be a different story if that was a condition from title launch but you can't sell me the game and in-app items and then purposely disable it... Am I wrong??
At the very least they should refund us for the ole' switcheroo!
This is the reward I get for choosing not to pirate anything Android...they sure aren't making a strong case against it pulling horsecrap like this! Why do i have a feeling cracked copies won't have this issue (you know, the ones the cheaters will use anyway)...

if I'm not mistaken, in order to cheat (in almost any game), you'll need to modify files that are not accessible to the user unless they're rooted. I may be wrong, though.

But here's the problem: I'm rooted but haven't modified anything relating to the game. I paid for the game, never cheated, and now I can't play it. That's not logical rationale by any stretch...
They suggest that I unroot just to play a game. So I'd lose backup and cache cleaning and CM7 for one game to work. How is that reasonable??
I guess cheating in a GAME (may I just state again that this is all over a game) is more important than a functional device.
If they told me this before I bought it then I just wouldn't have bothered, nor would most Android users... Where iphone users barely know how to change their ringtones, we root and Rom, they should understand that or not bother...
I am really surprised non of the major Android blog sites have picked up on this...
I think it's poop, I agree with the notion of 1 star to the developer!
This is the email I just got back from the Dev:
Thank you for your inquiry.
Please expect the next update very soon. Previously blocked users will be able to access the game again.
We are sorry for this inconvenience.
However, please keep in mind, if you do have a rooted phone and have problems in the game with the future, it is recommended to turn your phone back to a stable OS environment.
Thank you for your patience.

Also we can discuss here also.
I would suggest new playes to concentrate on statmina and defense.
People make a mistake by going attacking which back fires.

Yup get cards build a good attack abd defense deck , get into guild
and battle oppnents/other guild.
They oragnize regular events with rewards which make the game more challenging.
I was a clubie to this type of game but i worked out what the hell i had to do!
The basic rules are this.
go to quest and just battle people by repeatedly tapping the screen, keep collecting cards.
when you have 2 of the same type of card go to evolve and merge the two cards together, this will increase the "learning" ability of the card.
You can only merge a lower level card into a higher one. you cannot merge a higher level into a lower level (so a fighter + does not go into a fighter, but a fighter can merge into a fighter +)
When you card has been merged 4 times it is MAXED out, from here start enhancing the card with every single card you can lay your hands on. Dont merge cards that are better than the one you are using now otherwise it is a waste.
Keep enhancing your card until it hits level 30.
While questing you will level up. Your stamina dictates how many attacks you can do in quests, it refills 1 stamina every minute. I got mine to 100 and this seems to be enough for me, over time you will get to increase this massively so dont worry about it at first if you are happy to log in very often.
The ATTACK skill you have is used when you do a PvP or a BOSS battle and it dictates how powerful your allies can be when you attack.
The DEFENCE skill is used when you are attacked and again, the higher this is the higher quality allies you can have when defending.
Beyond this i have no idea what i am doing, but that has taken me 3 days to work out. Their help file isn't that great!
The recommended attack and defense decks are usually good but don't take into account special skills, so sometimes it's a good idea to edit the deck.
One good tip I've learned is that when attacking another player you should always go for someone whose defense power is equal to or lower than your attack power.

That is true ..
I won against users who has 50 def more than me.
The new event is starting and we can get again good cards without paying money
I won't and hadn't payed money for this game, worthless virtual cards...
Personally I don't play free games that are on the top grossing list. They are too good at getting money for nothing.

No, you should not. If you want to earn money from android application development, think about making a killer app. Try making something that you never seen before.
But always remember : You should always start small; make your app simple , intuitive.

If you want to learn some money, think about making a game.
Simple, small, not so complicated. Maybe a kid's game sounds good? Something 2D or 3D , doesn't matter.
I know it could take long , but it's worth it.
Editos #1: Remember : Always start small, don't get too bulky and complicated. You can always add features to the games by updates.
I understand we students are always short of money and earning our own extra money is always cool . But you must also understand how people look for paid apps. If you make a simple app (in terms of functionality or graphics what ever it is), people doesnt feel like paying for it. As neroSS said, start small, new, intuitive, innovative and attractive and finally! Promoting it! Nobody knows you have done a app without promotion and xda does it for us for free!
TIP: Never re-produce something which has already been done. It doesnt attract more users. But you can always try them for learning purpose.
I would also be careful with using registered trademarks in your app (which GTA for sure is).

That's a really good point.
Also, look for another way to monetize your app, for example using ads, or making two versions of it (free - pro). Generally in Android, a user only pays for a very good app.
Hope it helps.
I don't see a point in having this application if you could easily just search online for them without the app. Thanks for the contribution regardless.

OK so it seems it is a state thing and depending on the program, it covers 12 states in the US where it would be illegal.

That depends on the state. The state I just lived in made it illegal for all kids over 16 as that is when they can leave home. You also have to tell them its on there. Also any of the programs that are used to record calls are flat out illegal on a childs devices due to the laws about recording phone calls and both parties having to know about it.
But to each their own. Anyone that feels they need to spy on their kids has already lost them.
