Hi
My X10i keep restarting 10 - 30 seconds after boot after installing custom roms. I've tried three roms already via xrecovery, the rom appears to install but the phone constantly loops ( restarts) after the given time above.
Any help or info regarding this would be appreciated.

Hi man i had this same issue.
Just leave the device to reboot a few times.
after the 10th time it should stabilize.
If it doesn't re-flash the rom.
What Baseband are you on?
Hi,
I have been having this same issue since i installed custom rom using xRecovery.
each time i restore my default SE backup, it doesn't restart and everything works well again. I have tried about 4 different roms. please help!!!
Baseband: 2.1.45
Firmware: 2.1 -update1
Build number: 2.1.A.0.435
I need help.
The vast majority of custom ROMs for X10 available here require a specific baseband. For instance, J's CM7 requires .52 baseband to run correctly.
Which custom ROM are you trying to run?
many roms need some reboot after install, its normal
Lol...just attach to seus to get the latest firmware/baseband and your troubles will disppear.
Yes, certain roms need a certain baseband...not sure i have seen any recent ones here that will work with 45 though...
Most need either 52, or 54+
Thats your problem

I'm currently running FreeX10 B3H1, I see that B4 is out and all it apears to do is add support for the new Baseband... is there any notice improvements with the updated baseband?
I'm also not entirely sure what the baseband does
The baseband is the radio of the phone, so basically it controls your call quality, signal, mobile network, etc..
As fire why to upgrade, I can honestly say I haven't noticed any real benefits since I updated. However, as time progresses newer roms are going to be based on this version so if you want to keep flashing custom roms eventually you will have to upgrade anyway..
Hi,
I attempted to install Beta 4 last night (first time installing FreeX10). But now it is in a non stop reboot cycle and will not get any signal. It stays on for about a minute and then reboots everytime. Having read more on this I think it could be Baseband related. When I check the settings it says Baseband is unknown.
Can I upgrade my Firmware to X10a_2_1_A_0_435_GLOBAL in order to get the correct Baseband and then reinstall FreeX10? And if so, Can I use Flashtool to install X10a_2_1_A_0_435_GLOBAL without issues?
(My phone is an X10i by the way, should I use a different Firmware before re-installing FreeX10B4?)
Thanks in advance!

hey, for d "unknown baseband" problem u have to wait for d auto reboot after d 1st boot..only then d baseband and network will appear..
and for d boot loop problem-u will need to update to d .435 firmware (.52 baseband and .29 kernels)..or if u want to keep d old firmware install beta3..(beta 4 is only for .435 firmware)
happy flashing bro.

Hello
I'm new of the forum and sorry for my English
I have an Xperia X10i with Android 2.2.1 CM 6.1.3 V4.5.
I've seen that I can't choose the operator in manual mode. It says "error in nets research". And if I put on automatic search it stays still to say "searching new nets"... What could be?
Is there anyone with the same problem or that has a solution?
Thanks
Giulio
Sounds like you had a bad flash or u flashed it an improper way.
Did u wipe phone, caches and battery stats before flashing?

Wolfbreak has given step by step instructions which are pretty clear on how to upgrade to the 4.5.6/4.5.7 ROM.
However I too was confused when upgrading to 4.5.7 from 4.4. I was confused whether I shall lose my apps or not.
I think wolfbreak has made a new ROM 4.5 which overwrites the previous versions. Therefore it shall wipe everything. You will no longer have the apps and settings you have on v4.4. Therefore make a backup of the apps using titanium backup or something. Then go to xRecovery and make a backup of the ROM in case anything goes wrong. Then make a full factory wipe. Then wipe the cache, then the dalvik cache and lastly wipe the battery stats. Then go to install custom zip and flash the CM-6.1.3-V4.5.zip. Then again go to install custom zip and flash the CM-6.1.3-V4.5.7.zip. Then again, one last time go to custom zip and flash the gapps. Then reboot. Then follow the last three instructions on wolfbreak's page.

I don't understand why my X10i BB 2.1.54 currently running MIUI 0.3.1 ROM from Trip gave me soooo much reboots.
I gave my X10i re-flashed about 5 times already and still had no luck to get a rid of this. It caused random reboots while I was using wifi or edge / gprs.
PLEASE ADVICE!!!

If you did read the MIUI thread of Trip good, you would see he is recommending baseband .49.
Succes, and report progress buddy.
I have also had a lot of reboots with trips rom, but after a while when the cache is populated it settles down. To sum it up. Whenever I install a new application or use something I have not used before (market, mail client, etc) it will reboot after a little while (this is especially noticeable for apps that uses any form of communication). But after the first reboot/app I have not been noticing a lot of reboots.

hey guyz, i tried using the flashtool to flash the 0.49 baseband but it never seems to work for me. first i flash the X10a_2.1update1_r2.1.A.0.435_Generic.ftf which comes with .54 baseband. then i used xrecovery to install miui 1.0.5. i know it says we need .49 or .52 baseband but i cant get to flash it. it flashes and at the end u get msg saying unplug device, turn on debug and i chek the baseband, it says unknown. please help me get baseband .49 on my x10.

I'm also experiencing the same rebooting problem. Has anyone found a downlink link and flash instructions for bb 49?
PLEASE HELP ;o)
Hi, and to begin with sorry I can't post in dev section, no enough messages yet...
So my X10 failed since I tried another rom. Ok, so I went back to X10 2.1 official, then I rooted, installed busbox, xRecovery...
Well, let's try a new rom. I chose the TripNRaver Arc rom 2.3 gingerbread. Then I flashed the .49 baseband as asked in his topic, however I have infinite loop reboot. But it boots to PIN number asked, I see the phone find the network, so I think baseband is not the problem... But I'm not pro.
Any ideas would be appreciated.
Sorry, my English is not perfect since I'm french.
Thank you

It should crash a few times.
But if it continues to do that you may have the same problem i have.
My x10i won't run that rom at all.
Can you try bb 52?
Try to crash system server a few times. If that's not working you should reflash stock firmware with flashtool, reroot, xrec and so on. Then reflash bb49 and reinstall the Rom. Good Luck

Hi, welcome to XDA developers!
I'll try and help as much as possible...
Which kernel are you on? Stock or some custom kernel?
Thank you, I use Stock Rom, I thing it's Stock kernel. I tried to test many of the original Rom but the situation has not improved.
Another problem is that after many tests, I found only when using GoogleMaps with 3G, the machine I was reboot, if used with wifi is fine. So is 3G is the problem? but I still surf the Web using 3G normally without any problems. Hope your help!

Hi, it might be baseband problem, maybe baseband .71 isn't for you... Try this:
9Lukas5 said:
- Baseband 2.1.67
- smsBB67 patch
- Kernel upgrade
flashing procedure:
-The baseband and the kernel upgrade must be placed in the firmwares folder from flashtool and the sms patch on to the sdcard.
-After you have flashed the rom and the xrecovery now also flash the sms patch before remove the battery.
-In Flashtool flash first the 2.1.67 Baseband, after flashing finished, remove usb cable and select the kernel upgrade and connect the usb again when flashtool asks.
-After both (bb and kernel upgrade) flashed, you can remove the usb-cable and power on the device with everything working on bb 2.1.67.

Yep now flash bb67 via flashtool.
After that you will need to flash Kernel UpGrade.
