I just checked my Flyer for an update and OnLive Viewer just popped up. After a quick download, I created an account and poked around a bit. I was unable to play any free trials but I would assume functionality is just around the corner. This tablet is getting better and better everyday. A couple of screen captures:
yup i just did the update this morning it looks sick i cant wait for live game play

Is this a free apk?
If not, where did you get it?
Thanks!
Someone get a hold of that APK and remove any device requirements
I want this on my Xoom & OG!
APK !!!!. I'll try and port it to the nook color
please extract .apk HTC Flyer OnLive Viewer and put in this page for other android htc users ,
with titanium app or other you can save your apps installed .
extract and put it please
This might seem against yhe spirit of xda but..... Can we not port the apk. I would like to see some more official development on this unrootable device that i paied to much money for. This would effectively kill onlive for the flyer. Atleast wait until games are playable as this is only a viewer and only about as cool as just in tv

You must be joking. Since when is the "MY DEVICE HAS IT, EVERYONE ELSE **** OFF" mentality ever been a good thing? Android isn't supposed to have these idiotic exclusive applications, that's why the OS was so carefully designed to make applications compatible everywhere.
I'm really looking forward to someone ripping an apk... please?
+1. I'd love to have the apk. I could probably bypass the device check if it has one.

You, sir, are amazing! Works great on HTC Evo 4G. Still need to test it on my Transformer.
I installed it on my Nook Color running Cyanogen and it works perfect.
Thanks, that's awesome, it works on the Droid X, though the graphics are a little muddy. I'm a big fan on OnLive though I can't wait to see future Android updates.
Unfortunately not working on Sprint Hero running GB 2.3.4.
Installs, but force closes every time you attempt to open it.
Hi guys,
I've tested it on the Transformer and it is a no go. After looking at the logcat, it appears to be using a compiled .so, so it should only run on similar platforms to the Flyer. I'm somewhat shocked it works on the Droid X, bt I suppose the architectures are similar enough to work.
Disappointing. OnLive has said they want to aim for end of 2011 for a full tablet launch, including gaming. I can't see why it is taking them so long .
works just fine on my android HD2 but not on my dell streak 7
Thank you for the .apk you just made my day
Works on dhd as well as flyer

Yea, yea, but when will the pen SDK be released? That's the real big one.
Hard to find, but the link to the source is just above the comments.
I thought the pen SDK was released already... Shortly after the release of the Flyer.

Nope still waiting for htc to release it. They are pretty busy right now trying to figure out how to make an ota that will unlock the bootloaders ha.
and at the same time, HTC announced they are releasing the Flyer's source code! interesting time ahead of us. I can't wait

Honeycomb is something I have been expecting.
I may be in the minority here, but are there anyone else NOT that excited about Honeycomb upgrade? I also have a Honeycomb device (Asus Transformer) and Flyer is tons more reliable than Transformer. I have hardly seen any crashes or force close on my Flyer, while on the Transformer it is very frequent.
Granted, HTC most likely have done extensive research and testing to make sure Honeycomb is stable enough for the Flyer, but many would agree that Honeycomb is more of an exercise for Google, and the real tablet OS is the forthcoming ICS.
I dread the impending upgrade to HC rendering the Flyer into a crash prone nutjob as other HC devices. Hopefully my fear is unfounded and I will be proved wrong.
I have found alot of talk on alot of different sites about the upgrade to Honeycomb on the Flyer but I don't have a Flyer. I have a Evo View 4g, so what about us? Are we entitled to the same upgrade? I am glad that the Flyer is getting upgraded to Honeycomb but I am curious, are we (Evo View 4g owners) are included.

I almost sure they will release to "branded" versions of the device. I wouldn't worry too much.
As for looking forward to Honeycomb, I'm fine with the functionality of the current OS. With the advent of Honeycomb, I'm looking forward to the more tablet-centric and polished apps. For instance Zinio, while I've been very vocal that a larger tablet is more comfortable for magazines because they simulate the print form-factor better. It is nice to have the option to browse my magazines during lunch or during the commute. Also looking forward to Sketchbook Pro... it would be great news if they supported the pen integration, but maybe not in the first iteration.
Zinio is now available for the flyer without the need for honeycomb. Check the market for it.

There's a honeycomb specific version we can't get yet.
Looking on the sketchbook blog it looks like it will support pressure! Here's hoping that we see a Honeycomb update for our tablets soon!
Because the Flyer pen is HTC specific , apps need to be written specifically for it!
Don't discount HTC providing HC apps within their own firmware release for this and when the SDK is available, dev adding to that app list.

I have the same problem.
Amazon Appstore has it available for a couple of bucks...
I had to install the old market app in order to get it. The new market is way too buggy for me, especially when it comes to updating apps...
Worths a AAA. Working very well with FPSe, all ps3 controller bottons/sticks working at ~1 meter range. Thanks god I was lazy and didn't buy wiimote

Duel means a fight, whereas dual means two or a pair, it's DualShock not DuelShock.

I wasnt able to see it in Google Market from the Nook, strangely, the incompatible Epic (Galaxy S) does let me download it. After wrestling with trying to get the Nook to be able to download directly, I purchased the app and downloaded on my Epic, then used Titanium Backup to backup the app, then downloaded the backup onto the Nook using DropBox, and finally, was able to "restore" the app to my Nook. Works GREAT! Just goes to show you...when there is a will, there is a way!
The Youtube video says it's private. What's that about? "I'm gonna put a video up on Youtube but I don't want anyone to see it." That makes sense.
Market doesn't give a download link. Purchased on my Droid X just fine. I don't like the new market at all. Anyone figure this out?
I got it working by buying it for my Droid X. Then I installed the old market on my Nook. Did a search for the app. It showed up as purchased. I then just clicked on it and it installed. The key here is to install the old market on your Nook. You can grab it from the latest GAPPS file...I hope that helps ya...
All I can say is "wow", thanks for the heads up on this. I was using the wiimote/classic controller combo, but picked up a white PS3 controller and I have to say it totally rocks, ie it is a huge improvement over my previous setup.
Getting connected is easy enough and the range is great. Less bulky + better controls = Awesomeness for all My Mario World patches
Two PS3 controllers for 2 player games?
Can I play vs Street Fighter on my Nook Color at good speeds? :O That would kick ass...
is there a way to get an xbox remote to connect to the nook instead of playstation?
Just released in thearket. For 4.99. Wondered if any flyer owners had tried it and found it working. Can't decide if i wanna spend the money for it or not. esp if I don't know yet if it works on this device. Anyone?
I think this is the most frustrating part of Android. I have an LG Optimus 7, which runs WP7, and every app on the marketplace works. I have an HP Touchpad and every app works as well.
On my Android HTC Flyer on the other hand, its a crapshoot. Certain apps start, then consistently force close (i.e. XDA's app) and others start and don't work (i.e. HBO Go). If Android is going to consistently have these problems, they at least need to a try before you buy system.
+1 agreed.
Miss my wp7
Mite wait for wp8 to come out before I try another one tho.
I'm going to give it a try. Downloading SD files right now. Let u kno if it works

Most apps allow you to receive a refund within 15 minutes of purchase, some are longer. Pretty good TB4YB if you ask me.
Good news everyone... GTA is working great on my Flyer I have HC though, but it should work just fine on GB too
Well thank the Lord Jesus for that, now we can rest.

After a futile wait for GTA in the market for the View (works great on Droid 3, Razr and Thrive), I went ahead and used my Titanium back up from my Razr to side install it. Works fine on my View
Update:
I do notice that as far as speed, I can rank GTA 3 on my devices as follows:
1. Razr
2. Droid 3
3. Thrive
4. Flyer/View (For games and emulators prior to this, was Razr level or better).
Either the dual core tech is being leveraged, or the game is not yet optimized with the Scorpion chipset. The game is noticeably less smooth on the Flyer and View. It is so distant, perhaps 4 should be blank and 5 is the correct place (The other devices are smooth). Does great though for every app and game, up to this point.
I know this has nothing to do with the Evo 3D, but I saw no section dedicated for this topic. Also I've grown attached to this area of the forum.
I just purchased a Logitech Revue for $79.99. So far.....what a piece of ****! I have a PC, a PS3, a HP Touchpad, and an HTC Evo 3D. Am I just tech spoiled and expecting too much from this device? Is it worth holding on to, or should I return it? Any advice is appreciated.

You must have been expecting alot. GoogleTV is ok. At least the honeycomb upgrade improved its functionality. I have the sony googletv that comes with the blueray player. I like that it adds some functionality to my tv. During the holiday rerun season I found a lot of programs that I wouldn't have watched otherwise. Some of the apps are ok, and having netflix and browser capabilities on my family room tv are nice too.

I was thinking it was a bit of over kill to have purchased it since my media room is chock full of devices and entertainment that already provide more than what the revue does. Would you suggest returning it? Worst case scenario is installing it in the living room and having my son break it because SpongeBob won't play.

Hello,
I must confess that I am a self proclaimed Android Nutcase. I currently have (active and in use) a HTC EVO 3D, Logitech Revue, ASUS Transformer, HTC Thunderbolt, and a Viewsonic gTablet. I will exclude the Sony LiveView as it barely works.
Case and point, every one of these devices serves a purpose and does it well.
Logitech Review - Lets think of this as a smart TV, Its great for Netflix and Youtube. I really dont use it for anything more. It would be nice if it had a slingbox style feature but I am not holding my breath for it any time soon. It would also be cool if I can receive notifications on it (Google Voice, Email, etc)
HTC EVO 3D - This is my daily driver, I use it to manage my life. It is either running my own modded CyanogenMod 7 build or the Everolv ICS Preview (Depends on how I feel today).
ASUS Transformer - This is my 2nd brain, I often use it more then my laptop and computer (my laptop is in for repairs anyway). Its rooted and running a modded Honeycomb Build)
HTC Thunderbolt - I needs me some LTE Love (when Verizon is not having issues however). Its my work phone however I normally just use the EVO for my exchange. Its rooted with a sense based ROM.
Viewsonic gTablet - This is really a poor example on how an Android Tablet should have been launched. It had a really bad Viewsonic Skin that made it close to unusable. Thankfully it is VERY hackable and nearly Unbrickable thanks to NVFlash. Currently its running a honeycomb port and is at my desk with a 24-7 live view of a server monitoring system.
Android in general makes it easy to have multiple devices and allows them to share information between them

That's how I use my devices too. Android has made it beautifully fluid to hop from phone, tablet, pc, etc. The Logitech Revue seems to add extra steps to access simple things like GMail. The streaming aspect of it is indeed neat, but i can just as easily do the same with my other gadgets.
Thanks for the advice guys, as always it is much appreciated. I'll hold on to it since I'm within the return period and they might surprise us with some new features.

When will Microsoft & HTC Get together to put WINDOWS 8 on this Tablet? I'm not a fan of Android, but I have to really give HTC their Props for this Tablet.
From ALL of the other Tablets on the market, this is by FAR the BEST BUILT TABLET made. It has the BEST Quality of ALL the others that I have personally checked out. Not one Tablet can even come close to the sound quality of the HTC EVO VIEW Tablet.
I would like to know WHEN WINDOWS 8 will make it's way onto the HTC EVO VIEW TABLET!
If anyone has put even Windows 7 on this Tablet, I would also like to know that. Please pass on any info that there is on both of the OS's that I have asked about. Thank You All for Any & All of your Help.
not sure if serious or....
I'm 100% serious at what I posted.
I want the HTC EVO VIEW TABLET with WINDOWS 8 Installed on it. I don't want to have it on it any other way like with OnLive.
No. They will not. The HTC isn't even close to meeting the minimum requirements for a Windows 8 tablet, starting with an incompatible CPU.
If there's a will there's a way. Remember we have android running on iPhones and windows mobile phones.

Not gonna happen(at least not officially).
EVO View hit end of life. Windows 8 isn't even out yet. Microsoft isn't going to waste time developing for a dead tablet.
Plus, it doesn't meet the min specs. For example display resolution does not meet 1366 x 768
The devs might be able to do it one day but we don't even have a working ICS port for the view. Getting windows 8 to run would be really interesting for them, I'm sure.
What about windows 7 on the HTC EVO VIEW?

Forgetting about the minimum hardware requirements, windows 7 doesn't run on the arm arch, so that would be a resounding "no".
Besides, we can't even get cm7/9 on the view and cm runs on just about anything.
Thanks for playing.
Yeah, let's worry about getting the best version of Android on this thing before Windows.
If you wanted a Windows tablet so bad and you hate Android, perhaps you should have been smart and waited for a Windows tablet to come out.
Nokia to release a 10" Windows 8 tablet with dual-core Snapdragon S4 in Q4
I know, blasphemous. But I need more productivity.

rather than sound like an inconsiderate prick/troll on an ANDROID FORUM saying stupid statements like this to a DEVELOPER, why don't you learn to develop, and do it yourself? it's not going to happen anytime soon. go buy a windows device if you want windows so bad, christ almighty.

With all of the devices out on the Market, the HTC EVO VIEW Tablet is the one with the BEST QUALITY. As I said before ALL of the other Tablets / Slates whether they are Android or Windows can't come close to the SOUND QUALITY that the HTC EVO VIEW Tablet has. That's why I want WINDOWS 8 on that. I'm not here to bash Android at all. It's just the way that I feel. And read this very close and very carefully. I DON'T LIKE ANDROID. That's not bashing Android. That's just MY OPINION. Everyone is entitled to their Opinions. If you can at least read into what I'm saying here you should have Agreed with the statement that I made. The HTC EVO VIEW TABLET IS A HIGH QUALITY BUILT DEVICE. If you don't agree with that, then, that's YOUR OPINION. You are entitled to that. Also I'm not here to say that mine is better than yours. I just want to have sort of the same, but just a bit different. Just the OS. Most people here personalize things that they have to make it more to their liking. That's just what I want to do. Like with my car. My model car don't come with Fog lights at all. It's not even an option. But, I have the factory lights on my model car. Also my lights are HID. That also is not an option. That's how my car has been personalized for me. Would you trash talk me for that? If not, then why would you do that just for why I posted this topic about wanting WINDOWS 8 on the HTC EVO VIEW TABLET?
heres the answer: no.
widows 8 isn't even out. This post is ridiculous.

Unfortunately like everyone else stated you are kinda out of luck with that on the View. However, it does sound like you are the perfect candidate for some of the new tablets coming out that run both Android and Windows. Granted they may not be the build quality of the View but maybe HTC will build one if they get popular enough. Save your money.
I already have in my budget for Both a Brand New High End Windows 8 Phone as well for Any High End Windows 8 Tablet when they are released. Also if I am Very Happy with them, to buy 2 of each. Phone & Tablet for both My Wife & Myself. That's over $2,000 in my Budget, just for the devices alone. That's not counting for any & all accessories for each device.
then why on earth do you want the view, a year old technology, to run it when you claim to have such a budget for high end?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?
