Let me start off by saying I am a noob. So I flashed sc 2.9 via odin and want to flash the 2.9.1 patch but I am running cwm 3.x. According to the post with the 2.9.1 link, it will only work with older cwm versions. Sure enough I tried it using the current version and it was a no go. Can someone post a link for an older version please? I have looked everywhere. Also do I just push the older version using odin? Do I need to take any steps before flashing it? Thanks in advance!
There is a post in the development section with a fixed CMW zip and Odin file.

I tried to find it but all I could find was the old zip. Do you have the link or the title of the thread?
Bump -- I need this badly also and all the links I've found have been broken dropbox links.
Try here:

sorry, but the link you gave, the link to cwm was
:CWM-Recovery 4-8 Odin Package * Coming Soon
which is broken. Is there any other link for the fixed cwm recovery?thanks

Hey guys,
I tired doing a little research and found some helpful stuff but still was a little confused. Time Infinity posted a link to the newest clockwork recovery in a thread earlier but it was not a flashable zip. I was wondering how i could take that latest clockwork recovery and make it into a flashable zip. Im not asking for someone to do it i would like to try and do it myself. Thanks a lot guys!
if I'm not mistaken clockwork recovery is what is used to flash, not the other way around.. I always odin the cwm tar files
tapatalked from my stock VZ Fascinate
well you know how they release updated clockwork mods that are flashable? I want to create a flashable clockwork mod update. Because i am still on 3.2 and apparently the most recent clockwork mod is 4.x something.
ah ok i gotcha, haven't heard of any 4.x clockwork though

Bump - I am trying to figure this out too.
Hi, I installed the latest lite version and it feels really great, loving it
1. One issue I encountered is whenever I restart there is widget loading problem. Any solution for this?
2. For webtop via hdmi, should I install just the fruit cake 2.3.5 webtop addon or the whole thing (system + root)?
TIA.
Before flashing the Darkside rom did you do the flashboot erase command??
for webtop just flash fruit cake 2.3.5 and you will be fine

Flash 2.3.5 ROM, then flash 2.3.5 Webtop add on.
Thank you for the response, one more doubt.
If I flash fruitcake 2.3.5 system+root, then I suppose would no longer be on Darkside. Can't I stay on Darkside ROM and have webtop?

One way to find out, and that's try to flash the webtop add on over Darkside. Create a nandroid backup in CWM first so you can just flash back to the state you were in before flashing the Webtop if you need to.
Also, regarding your widget problem, try fixing permissions in ROM Manager, or if you can't do it that way, fix permissions in CWM. Should resolve the issue.

It worked for me, but I make no promises
Should work just fine though, but back up...like was mentioned by the previous post.
^^Thanks 95rr900. Please give me instructions on how you did it? It would be very helpful as I really want to enable webtop TIA

If you already have darkside installed, just download the 2.3.5 webtop fruitcake from Samcripps thread. Flash it in cwm.
That's it

I can confirm that this definitely works, thanks guys
Edit: I am running the latest version of The Darkside preFinal (2.3.5)
I was going to flash the addon over my copy of DarkSide but, uh, the link's totally dead: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1163009
Temporary Download Link
Here is a temporary download link for 2.3.5 Webtop until samcripp gets his links back up:
http://www.4shared.com/zip/WBqds09Z/235webtop2.html
Just leave the .zip file as-is and put it on your SD card and flash via CWM recovery (install .zip from sd card). If you are not sure about something just refer to samcripps thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1163009
Be sure to give samcripp a Thanks

I just downloaded Faux123's Gingerbread 1.45 OC kernel and flashed via CWM, worked like a charm. If you want to OC your phone just go to Faux123's OP, choose the Gingerbread kernel you want and follow the insructions:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1156040
Be sure to thank her for the kernel
Good luck
I've been rooting and flashing for a long time now. But, like an idiot, when I unlocked my bootloader and flashed a recovery today I forgot to nandroid my stock ROM. I tried looking through the dev section but may have missed it. Is there a zip for the stock ROM somewhere out there?
There is. I'm posting from the phone, or I'd link to it. Viper posted a rooted deodex stock rom in the development section. It's probably back a few pages.
Edit - who knew you could copy links from within the XDA app? Neat! Found the thread, here you go. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1677264
Thank you!
What the title says. Perhaps you could do a backup and only include webtop in back up (is using TWRP). Thanks
There is dump from swuln, in ota 254_13 thread, you can flash that with fastboot.
I would upload it in sbf, but my uploading speed is crap.
Thanks for the quick reply peetr.. I found the thread but I'm sorry I couldnt find the link to the dump or a flashable webtop zip.
Anyway maybe I wont need it if someone could just answer me this.
Is the stock webtop any faster than the custom ones like webtop+ ?
I had flashed martian imperium which flashes an older version of webtop + with it and thats the first webtop i've tried out. I found it to be rather laggy and slow.
I was just wondering if the stock version would be any faster?
