Thanks to Adrynalyn and his mystery source, we now have a new Froyo drop: EC01. No more bastardized hybrids, this is a pure EC01 rom, Deodexed, Debinged, and given the Blackhole overhaul.
Features:
Includes the latest EC01 mods by Sbrissen (No Full Batt popup, Reboot options, Clock Options, Acc Batt., 6 Lockscreens, Music controls, AOSP Phone answer)
Lockscreen is now changed through the "LockScreen Settings" application.
Standalone version includes Gallery, Music Player, Video Player, Browser, Calendar, Calculator, etc.
At this point I don't believe there will be any more Rom Manager releases, but I will be working on the ACS release as soon as I can find some time.
This is a Clockworkmod 2.x (green or red) flash, if you have Clockworkmod 3.x installed (orange) check out this link for an odin file to restore Red Cwm: http://forum.xda-developers.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=556634&d=1301538947
Still having some problems with the neverending bootloop if you wipe /data so DON'T! If you're coming from stock or Superclean, or an older Blackhole rom there is no need. If you're coming from AOSP you should be fine too. If you're coming from Kaosinate or MIUI then you'll probably need to flash or odin back to stock before flashing this, but I haven't tested. After this rom is flashed do not wipe /data.

Now that all that's out of the way, enjoy the release of Blackhole 4.4!

That's what I wanted to hear!!! But, I need to know how to flash back to a previous version of CWM recovery via rom manager. I flashed the 3.0 before I knew the problems it would cause. What do I need to do to be able to snag Blackhole 4.3? Thanks for any help.

WHOA....I thought Blackhole was done. Been keeping an eye on the other forum and it was dead for almost a month.
Yeah, between my life and their host its been hard to find time for this, but I'm glad to be working on the fascinate again. As crappy as samsung is, at least they're not suing us (sony) or bricking our phones for using unauthorized software (3ds). As far as the clockwork revert, I'll have files and instructions in the linked post tomorrow.

It feels as though perhaps EB16 could be the last update for this phone. Do you think this phone will ever see Gingerbread? I haven't read this anywhere, just personal gut feeling. What is your take on this?

Awesome!! Thanks SOS3 for all that you do. We love your roms. Maybe a dumb question but is 4.3 gonna have adryn's new EB16 working voodoo as one of the choices for the kernel?

Ned a little more info.
Will this phone see Gingerbread from Samsung or the people that actually know how to program?
I think getting Froyo was a big step because it was sooooo much different than 2.1. Difference between 2.2 and higher arent as huge, and 2.2+ is based on 2.2, so chances are we'll get there someday, with or without the "official" label.

Hopefully there will be some really close version tracking since there's been such a flurry of software tweaks for this phone!!!
thanks devs for your efforts!! I was a blackhole fanatic when I rooted since the update portal was so easy!!
Sweet! I was wonder if 4.21 was the end of the line for Blackhole. Looking forward to your next release!
For those who aren't good at reading between the lines, sonofskywaker3 is trying to tell us that the Blackhole 4.3 rom is currently available for VIP members at the link in the OP.
Enjoy!
Thanks for a great rom!

Like chrisexv6 says, Official Gingerbread from Samsung? I doubt it. That being said if there ever is a Gingerbread Rom, official or not, based on the Touchwiz Framework I'll update Blackhole to it, However I have no plans to make a CM7 version, or an AOSP version, simply because I'm starting to have trouble finding time to work on things, and I don't want the current project to suffer like it did when I spent all my time trying to get a vibrant version working. I'm sticking with stock Rom Modification for the Fascinate.
However, Gingerbread Roms based on AOSP or CM will be available and stable because of the work of great devs like Kaos, JT, Adrynalyn, and others.

I am noticing that my signal strength is still as low as it would be with t-mobile as my service provider. Anyone know why these roms have worse antenna than the stock eb01 when we are using the same radio? I am a driver and my phone is dropping a lot of calls where it used to have full signal (like in my house). If anyone can help me fix this it would be greatly appreciated. Note:do not tell me to dial *228, I am not a noob.

If you have the red voodoo recovery as well as the rom manager 3.0 (orange) then you can download the addons for this from rom manager then press cancel when it prompts you for the install. Manually reboot into the red recovery and select install .zip from sd card/choose .zip/clockworkmod/androiddoes.net/sonofskywalker3/fascinate/ then find the corresponding downloaded file such as boot animation or app or theme and manually flash each, one at a time.
note: you do not need to reboot and start over after flashing each individual file. Flash all the files you want then reboot.

I saw a thread in the development section about getting your tab back to stock, but since I can't post in there because of my post count, I suppose I'll have to ask here.
Essentially I'd like to backup all of my things, return the tablet to stock, but also keep a couple of the touchwiz apps. Does anyone know if this is possible or how I'd be able to do it? Thanks

While not the expert on this, I don't believe you can keep the touchwiz apps with stock Honeycomb 3.1 due to framework changes in touchwiz. However, post 2 in this thread might be what you're looking for. It does remove some apps though but it is probably the best mix of stock and touchwiz. If not, then the third entry in this link will help you revert to stock 3.1 if you don't have a stock backup. Look for the hc-3.1 zip file.
Thanks, although that's a bit depressing. I loved samsung's reader (ability to open PDFs stored locally, couldn't figure that out using google books), and myfiles was a good explorer I thought.
Okay so now I need to root to get titanium backup right? I have some data on games and such that I'd like to save.
What is stock to you? 3.1 Vanilla Honeycomb? What apps do you want to keep? not all will work without TouchWiz. What data do you want or need to back up? Get Astro File Explorer from the Market for free. LEt me know the answers and i can guide you from there.

Yeah, when I say stock I mean 3.1 vanilla HC, like my tab before the update.
The only ones I'd like to keep are myfiles and the ebook app, and I have the apk for those files now.
The data I want to backup is just from a couple of games I think. Not sure there is anything else.
Only possible to do if you root and stay rooted in Honecomb 3.1 vanilla. You won't be able to run Titanium without it. Here is stock firmware for our tab but this won't let you restore your app data because its not rooted. You need to go to the first post in Android Development and download the rooted vanilla rom then run titanium.
Hello
New to Tab and rooting, so been playing with the different ROM’s All great, thanks. I followed the pinned guide, which was great. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1171089
However, I would like to unroot and get it back to original state. I tried the “[ROM]Stock US Retail WiFi” but it looks like that is for the IO version as the TW update wont apply?
I have the GT-P7510MA (VXAB) i.e. US version, 32Gb WIFI. So looking for the StockROM so I can restore it back to the exact same state that it was when opened. I will then like to apply the TW update OTA.
I have looked around and it seems like a few people are looking for it.
(or am I asking a stupid question?)
Thanks
Eric…
BUMP!
WHY ISNT THIS AVAILABLE ANYWHERE, WTF!!!!
My tab was going through a boot loop because of an update that failed for no good reason. So, then i decided to flash back to stock, only to find a handful of unhelpful people pointing to allegedly "US Stock" roms, most of which were for the European 32gb wifi model, with the exclusion of the rom stated in the first post. PLEASE can someone with a US wifi model just make a cwm backup so i can flash it and start receiving stock OTA updates again? Honestly i'm BEGGING at this point.
Looking for this too
Guys, I've done a bit of googling and this page has a link to a stock 3.1 OTA rom. I have not tried it myself (not rooted) and I don't know for sure if it's a US rom, perhaps someone can take a look. It is on a US hosted website, so maybe it's OK?
http://galaxytabhacks.com/galaxy-tab-10-1-hacks/how-to-unroot-your-galaxy-tab-10-1/
That guy as well many other sites take the information from XDA. You can always download the files and do a checksum check to see what comes up with. Look also at the DroidBasement files.
I respect your choice to use the TW update. Personally, I find it fills your tablet with insane bloatware, not to mention the ugly theme. If you want the TW update, I would recommend you to use the Starburst ROM, which has the TouchWiz applied and is like a zillion times better compared to stock ROM.
Still, for the love of God... why would you want TouchWiz on your tablet? It is a HUGE step backwards, not to mention it breaks the Android keyboard. OK, it improves a little the quadrant scores... other that that, is pure garbage IMO.
well as far as I know and from searching XDA, there is no stock clean 3.1 ROM For the GT-P7510MA yet, unless i'm mistaken

Thanks, I am currently using Starburst ROM which is great, but there are many reasons why we would want to restore back to factory state.
Warranty return
Selling the device
Test if the Custom ROM is causing problems. (see my screen problem qstn in the other forums)
etc...
So while I understand that there are better ROM's, it would be good if the stock ROM was available.

Thanks, but tried that one as well and its not the right ROM. That is the IO version ROM. Same as in the root guide here
This is the touchwiz ux rom: http://droidbasement.com/galaxy/touchwiz-ux/hc-3.1_touchwiz_ux-full_sam_tab_10.1.zip
And this one is the stock honeycomb rom: http://droidbasement.com/galaxy/sys-backup/hc_31/hc-3.1_ota-full_sam_tab_10.1.zip
Both are the latest of their kind, for the wifi tab, I tried both and they are 100% stock, not rooted roms.
Then flash back the stock recovery with ODIN, and you can send the tab back to Samsung, they won't be able to detect anything.
Bye.
Great Thanks will try them out.
When you tried the "stock Honeycomb ROM" could you apply the TW update and the second update as well?
Thanks

The reason I ask is that the stock recovery download link provide is exactly the same size as the IO version so I'm assuming its not the P7510MA version.
I haven't had time to try it yet, but doesn't look like its the right one.
TW update is not available on the IO version
Have a stock HP Touchpad with no Android on it. I am a late entry to this mod stuff i know.. Would like to know what are my options when coming to installing ICS ROM's. Good lord, dont bother with the "classic nerd" suggestion above.
I will direct you to what you need.
Here's the release thread for the latest version of CM9 (they are the furthest in development at the moment, I'd stick with them for now)
rootzwiki. com/topic/15509-releasealpha05-cyanogenmod-9-touchpad/
I cant post links so take the space out of that to get the correct url.
Installation instructions:
1. While in WebOS, connect your touchpad to your pc/mac. Click to mount USB.
2. On the Touchpad, create a folder called "cminstall". In that folder, put the update-cm..... file from that thread, moboot, CWM, and Gapps (all from that thread)
3. Download ACMEinstaller2 and place it in the file where your novacom is. I usually install novacom on my pc in a specific android folder so I always know where to find it, others can find it in the default "palm" folder.
4. Restart touchpad holding up on the volume button.
5. One the arrow comes up, connect the touchpad to the pc again and open cmd or terminal (if on a mac) and navigate to the folder where you have placed acmeinstaller 2 and the novacom driver. if you need to change directory, type "cd:" followed by the folder location.
6. Enter the "novacom boot mem:// < ACMEInstaller2" command
7. Done.
There are more detailed instructions on the rootzwiki forum I linked you to. Best of luck.
Here's a video tutorial.

Both CM9 and Classicnerd are good options. I would not say one is ahead of the other at the moment, more that each has it's strong and weak points.

I have used cm9 and classic nerd.. which I'm running right now, personally classicnerd is more stable for me.
Anyway, the install instructions above are the same when installing any version of android, just put the zip file for the rom you want into the cminstall folder, once you have CWM you can flash between roms easily.

OP, follow this guide http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1305891 the parts where it mentions cm7, just replace with cm9. The guide in that directory, linked below, is from stock WebOS to ICS
http://www.classicnerd.net/betas/classicnerd_classic-va0.0.1(install_guide).docx
It has you install moboot and ClockworkMod via ACMEInstaller. After that it has you load the rom via ClockworkMod.
You will find that there are several similar ways to get Android on your device. CM9 wants you to use ACMEInstaller2 while Classicnerd has you get ClockworkMod on, then install the ROM from that point. While you can use ether it is usually best to stick with the instructions for the distro you wan to run, at least until you are more familiar with the install methods.
At the end of the day you will end up installing 3 distinct items
Moboot - The menu at the very beginning after the HP logo.
ClockworkMod - The Android based recovery.
Android - Your ROM of choice. Don't be afraid to try different once here, as long as you recognize they are early builds and use at your own risk. The Touchpad is a great device to experiment with and you will have WebOS to fall back to should anything go wrong.
Awesome.. thanks to evryone and calash for giving the detailed explanation. Will try the ICS ROM's. Will be back for more help.. LOL
Thanks Again
Good luck bro, happy flashing!

Wifi has generally been flakey and capricious on all versions of Android ROMs for the Touchpad so far. It works for some people and doesn't for others. Sometimes one version won't have the issues and another will etc.
If you search around there are a lot of so-called 'fixes' such as changing the wifi channel on your router etc that some people claim work and others say didn't help them. I don't recall ever reading that the definitive cause of all the wifi problems has been discovered at this point.
If you try simple things like turning the wifi off and then back on again, booting into WebOS and back into Android, changing the wifi channel on the router etc and none of that works then I would say if you find a ROM where it works for you then just stick with that one for now.
Ok am back with another qn for the Guru's
I see ClassicNerd has their official ROM now, so i want to try that out. Before i do i would like to save my app's that i have on my SE version, so that i dont have to install each of them manually again on the new ROM. I saw some posts about using Titanium Backup _ Can someone post some steps on what i should do with it to save my app's and get them back once i install the new ROM. If there is any other app or a procedure that can make this easier please chime in.
TIA

They have not yet posted an "official" rom. It is still in pre-release or beta stage. That said, I'm running Classicnerd Butta 0.1.0V2 Odex and find it very stable. Not everything works yet though. Read the first part of the thread for known issues.
I have installed cm9 ics alpha 0.6 but tried cherrykang and so far I have been very happy. No fcs and it has overclock to 1.5 included. I bought spb shell 3d and it runs really smooth. I'm watching classic nerd to see how that plays out.
I have flashed many roms on my Droid X and Samsung galaxy tab 7 and now on my TP. One thing is a lot of developers working solo get burned out by people wanting updates almost daily. Classic nerd seems to have a team that hopefully can share that load.....the good, the bad and the ugly.

Welcome to the forums! Read the actual thread for Nottachtrix. The developer is very much so respected, and has a huge number of fans that use his ROM, your best bet is to just give it a shot and use it for a day or two to see if you like it. Don't forget to nandroid back up your current setup before wiping anything that way you you can very easily switch back if you are dissatisfied. All it takes is a SEARCH, figured I would be the nice one before you get flamed with a million "Use search!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" replys

There is some info about Nottach Trix on here:

Also if you used and liked Darkside and/or Wet Dream you are 95% likely to enjoy Nottach Trix.

About the most painless way to get up to 4.5.141, I'd say!
Is 1.2.3 the most current Version?
And Sheepacurious, what state were you at before?
unlocked BL?
Rooted?
4.5.93?
SoxFan37 - Thanks.

Unlocked bootloader, rooted, the dev post says Wet Dream was 4.5.140. Had to back up apps and SMS data, obviously, but you don't have to "get your phone back to stock" in order to flash this rom -- just make a nandroid backup and give it a shot.
as an international user (UK) do I need the ramfix.zip too.
The mods havent approved my login on the site, could anyone care to attach the file?
Many thanks

You will need the ramfix and you will be approved when Nottach gets round to it, so please don't be impatient.
I have been running this rom since yesterday the install is cool with the aroma installer the rom is relatively fast when let it settle in

Its very nice rom the wayt it comes and you can choose what you want to add or remove its really great you should try it.
You can also go in and freeze more processes as well and right now man i got about 520 mb free and scoring around 6300 on antutu.
Its not like cm7 builds but you can use webtop and an alternative if you want to stack stock mainly for me its because i use my webtop.
try it it's pretty cool
I thought wet dream was awesome, this ROM is even better. I just downloaded it today and no complaints.
+1 for you to download.

Previous State
ROOT, UL BL, 2.3.4/4.5.91, Alien ROM
I accidentally hit the update option when it popped up on the screen instead of hitting later. Then I the wifi off on my phone and that prevented the update from being downloaded. I tried to do a couple of things to prevent it from downloading
1. Freezing Upgrader 2.3.4 using TiBu - This did not work.
2. Using CWM - Cleared cache etc and this did not do the trick either.
So, I finally gave up and used UncleCemka's guide to upgrade to 4.5.141 (2.3.6) and it was successful.
So, present state
ROOT, UL BL, 2.3.6/4.5.141, Stock.
Can I flash NottachTrix4G? The thing I miss the most is the WebTop over HDMI
Thanks in advance,
vG

Yes. It'll work fine. It doesn't mess with the webtop partition, so you'll need to re-do the HDMI exploit or flash the 2.3.6 webtop fruitcake which has that fix worked in.

Here you go. It's the Fruitcakes thread over in the dev forum.
now: you took the OTA update, which I'm pretty sure updated your webtop as well. The webtop fruitcake says 4.5.140; this may or may not be precisely the same version as your current one. With that in mind, I might try redoing the webtop-over-HDMI hack first since it's a pretty simple procedure and keeps your current version intact.
