Id like to first say thanks to Rangerbry, for his port of this for the Photon. This is his work, all I did was swap out some images,to suit my taste on my device, and wanted to share them.I use this with a stock rooted 198_7 build. If you're running an odexed build, you'll have to change the file extension of the SystemUI.odex file ,from .odex to .abk for it to take.I also swapped out the stock data icons for those from the DX,as those look a whole lot better in MHO.

Kenneths base, the aosp sliders were a morph i picked up from droidpirate,LiGux battery, signal, and data icons. The notification toggles are from and themed like n the ones in Liberty rom.The only problems, are the gps icon is distorted when its acquiring, and the "notification" bar is still ginger blue. This BlurPlus zip, undoes the Alien theme. For anyone wondering, these are based on 198_7 stock, rooted and unlocked.
The Blur Plus zip is a little combo including the first set of toggles.I replaced the saw blade spinners with GB ones colored accordingly, used ICS emotion icons, changed the default wallpaper.
I tried to flash liberty with bootstrap on jokers 4g ROM and ot didnt take. The file flashed just fine, no errors or anything, the toggles just dont show. Just an FYI to others who may try.
use root explorer and rename the SystemUI.odex to SystemUI.abk, and reboot. itll take.

i tried it with the same rom my self, and got the same results. I personally didnt/dont see the advantage of the 2.3.5 rom over the 198_7 stock rom in 2.3.4

First three work great on Stock 198_6. (Using the bootstrap CWM and then renaming the systemui.odex to .bak and rebooting, wiping dalvik).
However, the fourth package (Blur Plus) does not seem to work on stock rooted, locked 198_6. Luckiy I nandroid backed up prior to flashing as it caused numerous FC's on just about any auto launch program. Background was nice, but did not work. For anyone wondering.......
Funny enough, thats what led to me unlocking my bootloader, but i didnt have a backup so i had to sbf first.Idk why it would FC.Im on 198_7,and theres no difference between the two that I can see other than the known compatibility issue with some market apps.Did you flash any other theme components with it?If I use RomToolbox to change my battery or signal icons, sometimes itll do the same thing that youre describing, and then ill have to restore a backup.

I ended up just using the Liberty package. After the first meltdown with the plus package, I started looking at file sizes of your packages and noticed that the plus package was 5x larger than any other you offer. So that rung a bell to me that much more is being done with that one. As my ultimate goal was just to get the notification toggles, I went with a smaller one.
As I am on a stock rooted, Locked bootloader with bootstrap recovery, I want to be as minimal as possible. I read a couple other threads with similar toggles and was seeing confirmations that people were getting these to work on 198_6, locked. So I gave it another shot after restoring my nandroid from bootstrap. Second go round with a smaller package was successful (Also wiping Dalvik after flashing). I did have to manually rename the Systemui from odex to bak and reboot. Once rebooted, I had the ICS themed toggles and a nice pretty new 3G icon on my notification bar.
Outside of that, it has been smooth. No FC's or issues after flashing the smaller package.
I would have to assume the issues you are having with romtool box are linked to ROMS either being odex or deodex'd. If its a stock rom, you will more than likely have issues trying to theme things as the structure for which it works normally relies on deodex'd packages. Stock is normally odex. (Correct me if I'm wrong)
Yeah, the reason for the size difference, is because i havent exactly gotten in the habit of making an update zip with just the images.everything i uploaded are the complete systemUIs that i made and flashed on my phone.i use root explorer for all the grunt work and just keep extracted copies of all of my system ui and framework-res im separate folder for easy modifying. Then i zip it up with root explorer and sign it with zip zigner. With RomToolbox,it usually happens if i try to install one theme over another.i just use icon changer part as an icon repository. Download them, then move them around on my sd card.

Any chance of getting "moto on blur" to work on stock (ODEXed) locked, rooted Electrify?
This mod works great however it hides the calculator signs: + - * etc. As a short term fix ive downloaded real calc but does anyone know how to fix the problem?
Rangerbry told me what I had to do,but I havent had a chance to mess with it.Still learning as I go.

Hey guys,
I just installed CM7.2 RC1 (2 times now) after a wipe/factory and davlik cache as well and I can't get the Droid X2 second core script to function properly. I used this and knew it was working in Eclipse 2.xx but not on CM7.2 RC1. I've setup the script with the proper permissions in init.d and can even change the /sys/devices/cpu/cpu01/online file to 1 manually, but the script is either not running or something is overwriting whatever the script changes every boot.
Anyone else still running CM7.2 RC1 on a Droid X2 and run the Second Core Script?
Here's a thread that may help or give you some info:

That's the thread I was using to troubleshoot, but I've exhausted all those options! lol. I may SBF again and install again to see if that fixes anything. I'm not sure what could have gone wrong as I followed the instructions precisely. :\

I've had some success running the script via script manager, but even when set to run at boot it does not. It does however activate the core when I run it after boot.
Something in CM7.2 RC1 isn't allowing the changing of the online file to 1 instead of 0 for CPU1. I'm thinking people may have been running this script a while ago before the latest RC1 release and may not even know it's not running anymore..?
I dunno, but I give up on activating the second core all the time under CM7.2 RC1 on this Droid X2.
Being new, I am unable to post in the actual thread on the development page. I wanted to make sure I was doing this correctly. The link for the in the main thread has a download link for Google Apps that I need to put on my SD card; the link is broken. I worked my way through the threads and found someone posted this, http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1442803&page=244 (very top post). I assume that Gapps = Google apps and is what I need. I just wanted to double check this was what I needed before I brick my phone. Thanks for your help!
Yep there the same and make sure you flash your rom and gapps/Google apps at the same time
don't be scared it's only a phone
Thanks. Install went very easy. I do have another question. What does it mean in the instructions, "Go into the Superuser app and update the su binary."

There's an option in the Superuser app to update the binary. In the latest version it's in the "info" screen (scroll left), in the older version it's in the settings (press the menu key iirc).

Hello, this is my first post. I have been trying to customize my Droid DNA, and it seems whenever I edit a system file, it doesn't stick after a reboot.
For example, I renamed HTCLockScreen.apk to HTCLockScreen.bak in /system/apps and it will allow me to use the vanilla lockscreen if I do a hot reboot but once I do a full reboot it goes back to using the HTC one. Also, if I try to edit the build.proc, nothing ever sticks. I am rooted running UKB rom, stock kernel.
Any advice? I am pretty new to this. This is my first android device. Thanks guys!

Flash this kernel.

Welcome to the DNA forums!
Please don't touch my "Thanks" button, it doesn't like you...
You need to use one of DSB's kernels that allows you to write to the system, otherwise changes won't stick.
Thanks a bunch guys! I looked around with custom kernels before, what other benefits are there to using one over the stock one?
Hey XDA members. I am hopping you can help me with my problem. I have the Razr XT912 verizon andI am having problems with my cell service. I rooted my razr a few months ago and have had problems with cell service dropping. I have been running CM roms since I rooted and have recently flashed CM11-20140130 and i am still having the problem but with a twist. It says that i am connected to cell service, but i can rarely get even a text to go through, let alone a call. I tried reflashing CM and Gapps, but still that same problem. I am still pretty new to roothing so try to go easy on all of the technical terms. Any information will be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

You open the .Zip file wit WinRar / 7zip. browse to the /system/app folder > Delete the .apk that was mentioned. and clean flash the rom.
Goodluck (i'm also trying this now.)

This also should work for OP.
Strange tho there is nothing on [ROM] Threads about such possible problem.

Thanks for the replies everyone. I got the .apk deleted and reflashed the ROM and gapps, and restored my data. I still have the same problem. I tried making a call tonight and I keep getting cut off in a good coverage area. Any other ideas because I'm about ready to break the phone and claim insurance.
