try downgrade to KF1 or KG1 or even Upgrade to KG3 modem....
I flashed the full XXKG2 firmware, including modem, etc.
I have no problems with my signal. You shouldn't list it as a 850Mhz band modem, as all modems for the SGS2 should have all bands, because GT-i9100 and GT-9100m are the same phone.
XXKG2 modem does not remove the 850Mhz band frequency, as I can still get a signal if I select my phone to only use the 850Mhz band.
The bell firmware, and all subsections of it have not been released yet, so you can't go back exactly to stock again.
I am on kg3 now and everything works fine it was just the stock bell firmware always shows H+ and villianrom just shows h+ when data is passing for more then 10 seconds or so.

Hi guys
Just wondering if anyone in Australia has flashed this SBF to a Bell Atrix and is using Optus or Vodafone network that requires 2100Mhz band.
I am worried that by flashing this ROM, because its Telstra, it might cut the 2100Mhz band out in the modem file, leaving only 850 & 1900Mhz which will not work on 3G on Optus and Vodafone.
I wont flash this SBF if it cuts the 2100Mhz support.

Hey there,
I'm using an AT&T Atrix 4G which i guess uses the 850/2100 3G bands but i'm currently on the Optus network with 3G coverage. The network obviously isn't as great as Telstra but it is working fine on the Optus 2100 band.
Hope that helps

I just installed the Telstra FW, and yep, it works.
Uncapped download speeds FTW! Mine are up from 152kb/s to 475kb/s downloads, and uploads are up from 99kb/s to 200kb/s.
Thanks to seven2099 as well for his assistance via PM

Unfortunately I'm rocking an AT&T Atrix 4G at the moment so I can't flash the Telstra firmware. It's good to know that it keeps the 2100MHz coverage. My speeds are 600kB/s and 50kB/s respectively on vodafone's 850MHz network at most times (they are still rolling it out)
I have seen many Thread about I9000 trying to convert T959 modem to use the T-mobile network. What i couldn't find is from T959 to I9000 to make it to the international version.
I have the T-Mobile Vibrant T-959 unlocked with ECLAIR. I know that the network band of this phone is 850/900/1800/1900. i found the result according to Samsung website. I know in another post it was said that it is hardware issue but the hardware is 850/900/1800/1900.
I live in the United Arab Emirates and the network band here is 900/1800 similar to the European or Asian Network. but the T-mobile uses 850/1900 so i couldn't get 3G or any kind of internet connection here, unless i find a WiFi connection. I need the 3G connection on the move.
I want to know is there any way to change the the modem band to I9000? so that i can use a custom rom like Darky which is Stable according to many users.
I would never be using the phone on US T-mobile or any Network in the US.
You might think this Question is redundant and has already been answered but i search every where but it comes back empty.
Your feedback would be highly Appreciated!!!!
I don't think you can actually change your phone's bands.
However, an unlocked US T-Mobile Vibrant should be working on 3G. According to Wikipedia, the two 3G networks in UAE (du and Etisalat?) use the 2100MHz band, which should be supported.
Thanks for the reply, i tried everything but nothing worked.
One more question to ask, what will happen if i flash i9000 rom and radio on a T-mobile phone. Or should i just flash it with a T-mobile rom without changing the radio, and if the sim gets locked I will just unlock?
this is the final question to ask.
Don't know if this helps but I use my unlocked vibrant in the uk, so if European bands are the same...it should work.
You can change roms and I would recommend you should but you can't use an i9000 modem.
Do you have a Sim with a data plan?
Can you text or make calls?

Yes i can make a calls and send Text but no internet connection. I just bought data plan for my sim.
So i Should get Vibrant custom rom not the I9000 rom?
And thank you Guys for your replay, I hope this tread will help other confused users on XDA
I would like everyone to know that it is not good thing to change there modem from T959 to i9000 your phone will brick never do it.
I just flashed a new rom from Trigger 3.2 which upgraded to Froyo 2.2 and i put in the settings for the Access Point and it works perfectly.
So if you have any difficulty accessing 3g or HSDPA connection on android 2.1 just upgrade it and it will work.
How did you conclude you're not on 3G? Do you get EDGE or GPRS internet connection?
So i need the 1800 mhz how can i do?
Flash a i9000 modem and see if it works.

There is the possibility to brick the phone?
Hello
I have a problem with my phone.
Model number: GT-I9100
Androiud version: 4.0.4
Baseband version:I9100XXKG6
Cyanogenmod version: 9-20120523
I've bought a WIND sim card and it works fine with a nokia phone, but somehow it doesn't work with my SGS2 at all.
I mostly don't get any signal with it , just once in a while a full signal but I just can choose Roger and Mobilicity as network. There is no WIND network and I can't do any phone calls or something.
I don't know what to do because it just works fine with the Nokia phone.
I changed the Custom Rom to WIUI and stock rom but no change.
Probably because that phone doesn't have aws frequencies it only works on bell rogers telus virgin
Sent from my GT-I9100 using Tapatalk 2
when I used WIUI it shows not Rogers and Mobilicity anymore but only WIND HOME and WIND AWAY, but I can't be registered on both.
It will be impossible to connect to Wind Home. Wind uses the 1700 UMTS frequency (same as T-Mobile USA) and the i9100 supports UMTS 850/1900/2100. The only SGS2 that supports the AWS frequency is Telus' SGS2X.
You now have three options if you want to use your phone:
1) Buy a new phone that's AWS compatible
2) Connect to Wind Away and enjoy roaming charges for everything
3) Switch to another Carrier that's not based on AWS
I'm sure I've got a sms from WIND after togging up saying I'm good to go.
And even when I use the Roger Network, I can't do any calls or anything.
Why is that so?
The answer above hasn't changed. Just because you can see the networks doesn't mean your phone supports the frequency required to make calls. Sim card doesn't matter either because its the network that's the problem.
I live in Chicago and I have been having horrible connectivity with ATT. My signal strength keeps fluctuating for voice and my data keep dropping on 3G and H. I think I would like to try a different modem for my model. I am currently running
PDA:LG8/PHONE:LG8/CSC:LG8 BTU
I would love to know what other firmware or CSC versions people are running that are having good luck with ATT.
I'm looking for advice on compatible radios for Bell Canada. I'm running the latest CM10.1 build from epinter and my wifi/bt are basically dead. They only turn on sometimes, but most of the time they seem to be frozen.
I had this problem with the stock Bell radio, and it continues with the Telstra N_01.87.00R, which otherwise works great for data/calls/sms.
What I'd like to know is this: Has anybody used the .100 radio, or the .37/.38 radios from ATT, on Bell? Are they compatible with my network? Will I get HSPA+ speeds?
Thanks so much!
OK, I just did a quick Google search and it appears they use the same frequencies. That's good news, right?
So I guess the question is, do the ATT radios work, and work well, on Bell's network?
Quick answer - yes, the radios work, no they don't work well.
Stick with your Bell OTA or the Telstra radios.
