[Q] Webtop thru HDMI with 2.3.4 update - Atrix 4G Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I had seen a post on here in the past with webtop enabled thru HDMI without root for the previous system version, just wondering if a hack was made for 4.5.91?

[Q] OPENGL version question

Is there a way to check if all the opengl 2.0 files ate installed correctly?
Reason being I recently sbf ed back to stock 4.1.26 from gingerblur and updated to stock 4.1.83 roted and sideloaded. When I check the system info under a couple of apps like quick system info pro and quadrant, it is only showing the opengl 1.1 files.
Maybe just a bit paranoid after the sbf. Just yell and tell me if I am or point me in the correct direction to check for the files.
Only reason I went back from gingerblur is the lack of some of the stock stuff like task manager and webstop functionality. Really messed up on the 3.1 version.
Thanks for the help guys.

Netflix just stopped working

I have a question about the netflix apk with device check disabled.
I had gingerblur and didnt like it,so I flashed back to .83.
I'm rooted again and sideload enabled as well as webtop hack and tether hack, when I push the apk to the phone and attempt to open it it doesnt allow me to.
It says a new version is available and to update in order to use the app,but it doesn't let me update since atrix isnt a supported device?
Does anyone know how to get around this,it was working fine until I flashe the phone..help!!
Edit found the answer and new apk sorry no need to answer my post problem solved...

[Q] Webtop2sd killed my webtop

After countless true of getting full ubuntu and some sort of desktop look on my ATRIX I today reflashed a rom formated both internal external storage and attempted the webtop2sd way.. now I got no webtop when docked just a small mirror of my phones screen on my giant tv... I know the easiest way to fix will be to flash a webtop zip via cam. But does anyone got any pointers for this desktop mod?
I just did mine last night. I had a huge problem as well and my whole webtop completely died.
I ended up flashing my ROM and got everything back again and then I tried using webtop2sd again. This time everything worked perfectly fine, I didn't have any problems, I just turned off screen timeout and then just let the program execute. Right now everything is working perfectly fine.
I am not very sure what the problem could have been or if my solution is the best one, but it seemed to work for me.

did you re-install webtop after flashing? i thought most of the ROMs don't include webtop.
yeah tried reinstalling webtop.. i flashed back to aura 1.3#5 as testing through the different builds its what works best for me i formated everything so it was all clean and all i got was a mirror image of my fone no webtop... ive reverted to this for now (Full Linux (Debian) inside WebTop! v0.2.6) which i am just about to test and see if i can get what i want from it.. cheers guys

[Q] Would this be possible?

As an owner of a fairly useless webtop, I was curious to know if it is POSSIBLE to install a native version of linux over the webtop mode (similar to how bootmenu manager uses it as a secondary partition) and specifically set it up to be used only with the webtop?
Anything. Is possible and nothing is possible unless we dream it.

[Q] Root over USB 1.4.3

Hi, I am a previously rooted 16gb nook tablet owner on 1.4.3. Lost the root a few months back after the OTA update. It turns out I broke both of my volume buttons after dropping the nook so I can't use the sdcard method that everyone loves so much... when I get to the install screen I can't navigate to select the root package. I'm wondering if there is an available method for rooting over usb, no sdcard involved, for a 16gb 1.4.3 NT. Preferably without a restore - it's a hassle, but if there is absolutely no way without flashing back to a previous version that's ok too.
Simple explanation of what I'm looking for:
Root over USB - no sdcard
16gb NT on 1.4.3 compatible
NO use of volume buttons!
Ability for sideload
Hopefully GApps
Don't need CM or anything - just want to install some android apps
If there is an existing thread with this information (not including old methods for 1.4.0) I apologize, and I would appreciate a link. It's very difficult to navigate through all the sdcard threads!
Anyone?
Don't know if these will work but here are some links to the early rooting procedures
