[Q] NFS Shift problem on SK17i

Just want to ask, is there any compatibility issues on SK17i with the NFS shift android game or the like. Also, is there a specific minimum/maximum requirements to play this game?
When I Run this game I just see the logo and then it goes black and turns me back to the icon screen. Need help on using this.
Also as of now my total available space remaining:
MicroSD Card - 324 mb
Internal - 128 mb
The phone is updated on the latest android version 2.3.4
And is there any software that can transfer internal memory to external memory?
And also, is there any way to speed up or stabilize the speed for SK17i?
Nah man. Nfs shift are fully compatible with sk17i.
Dude, don't worry, nfs shift runs perfectly smooth on sk17I, even my old lg optimus one with only 600mhz processor runs it smoothly how does your sk17I doesn't run it smoother?
For transferring any apps from internal memory to sd card, I recommend using Link2sd. Search it from the market

so, its possible that its just with the website where I downloaded the app right? i tried it on "Applanet Market" coz its free. Are you suggesting purchasing to download it on the on the "Play Store"?

isnt applanet market is dead?
plus i dont really like downloading stuffs from applanet, the apk's are outdated. try find another apk from google. or maybe u just can buy it from the market to support the developers
Hmmm... It was recommended by a friend and I was just trying to test if it'll work on my Xperia mini pro.
Hope you could recommend the best android market that you know of.
and if there is a way or an app that can stabilize the processing speed or balance the flow of the RAM so that when you still use it for long periods of time it still have that same speed on openning and closing applications or programs on this android phone.

i recommend using Appbrain App Market. my favorite market so far and many people like it.
for speed, try overclocking your cpu using Setcpu or No Frills app but you need a specified kernels to do so and an unlocked bootloader. check out xperia mini pro android development forum.
for ram, you can use any task killer app from the market. it works and free up more of your ram but i didnt recommend it. but you can still use it.

Personally, I'm against task killers.
Android will kill old processes itself, when it feels it needs more memory. Task killer uses itself memory to kill the apps, which actually might be later needed(and then takes longer to load them). Killing tasks doesn't give that much speed.
That's my personal opinion.
Myself, I use only V6 Supercharger on rooted phone with custom ROM to improve my phone's speed, it changes the minfree amounts, that is when Android should kill some unneeded tasks.

[Q] Avoid Task killer

Hello!
What can I do if I want one app to always run?
The app always closes when i free my ram in the SAmsung Task manager (Galaxy S2)
From what I've collected, a task killer does more harm than good. Linux is supposedly really good with memory and doesn't need you to kill any apps. It'd only be lagging if an app was having a problem.
You should take a look at V6 Supercharger. It really helps and reduced lag on my phone. Haven't been using a task killer for years! There's also a feature to designate which apps to keep open.
Here's a link to V6 Supercharger.

what is best task killer or task manager for xperia mini?

Guys kindly share ur experience here.what is the best task manager fir better RAM optimization in your view?
I do not recommend using any task killer for any android phone. Here *read and learn*, but if you really want to use one then just monitor the app that is unnecessarily eating your cpu using watchdog and manually kill it otherwise 'task killers' will take up your phone's resources.
Android is totally different compared to windows... Android don't ever need task killer! Just leave it to be, it'll auto optimize...

task killers like people said are not recommended.
but that doesnt mean that you cant use it, you still can use it daily actually.
my favorite and the best task killers out there in the market are Advanced Task Killers
https://play.google.com/store/apps/...sImNvbS5yZWNoaWxkLmFkdmFuY2VkdGFza2tpbGxlciJd
+1 to what above users said.Killing an app will only make it load again which consumes battery.
Killing tasks in Android is generally not recommended but if you really want a task killer, Advanced Task Killer does the job well.
Thanx alot all u bro.i m using memory booster.i works like a charm for me...
I use Quick System Info and Advanced Task Manager but the apps will automatically restart after being killed and this procedure even cost more CPU usage. I also use the built-in "Running services" setting but it's not so effective either, sometimes forcing an app to stop won't free more memory.
Apps in android work like this. Say you are running Google Maps.
-Android: Ok he's using maps, lets use some of the ram.
-Android: Oh he stopped using maps, ill just empty the app from the RAM but ill keep some information here in case he wants to run it again, plus maps still needs to do something so ill keep some info for it.
Now if you put a task manager to kill the remaining information (which is close to 0 in size) you add this.
-Android: Hey where did the info for google maps go? Oh darn i guess ill have to load the app again from scratch and use additional ram.
So all in all it ends up being counterproductive. Task killers worked on 2.2 and earlier versions. On 2.3 its almost automatic.
If you're looking for better ram managment, i suggest you try the V6 Supercharger Scripts.
I agree with the post above.
Using task manager actual result is slower and higher battery usage.
I use V6 Supercharger also, it changes the minfree amount, that is how much RAM has to be available minimal always.

Yeah... I totaly agree with dumraden... Android is very good at managing RAM on ots own...
If u kill an app, it will only cause unnecesary load on the CPU...
Btw very good explaination man...

How to prevent an app be closed

Hi!
I'm facing problems with the way Android manage the RAM.
When I have Opera open and do another task, inmediatly the memory manager closes it. When I open Opera again it load again the webs I had, consuming more data...
So the question is... how can I prevent that Opera be closed by the memory manager?
You cant ,, thats how things work on android and thats why low RAM on android device makes it useless in multitasking

i had the same problem with chatting in im pro and usind dolphine browser hd
try ram manager app from google play and set it to more multitasking or hard multitasking
note: requires root access
Root your phone.. Get rid of all the bloatware! It will certainly bring a bit of change in RAM..
Or better, unlock your bootloader and install custom ROMS!
Warning : Doing any of the two above will void your device's warranty!

v6 Supercharger
use the v6 supercharger script... it helps a lot
but the problem isn't that I ran out of RAM, I usually have around 90-100MB free.

Search for supercharger thread n read
Try increasing the background processes limit! Goto settings> developer options>background processes limit set it to highest instead of standard! Or uncheck destroy background processes if its checked!

BAD Nougat RAM management (all devices with pure android)

Hi eveyone,
Title tells you everything. Why i made this conclusion? Because android nougat system uses all your RAM in vain.(I would like to mention that Linux os is famous for its low ram usage and fast ui so, google, why android is using so much RAM?) . Any installed app data which are stored on your Ram on a boot, so why apps are slowly opening,Why they are reloading everytime when switching back to that app? All apps which are running in multitasking mode(recents apps) when switching between apps , app is reloading but not switching to the last opened moment. Also there are some other bad behaviour like when youre updating your apps through google play store. If you switch to another app , google play app stops doing update process. These problems gets pixel and nexus devices and all devices which uses ROMs based on aosp or lineage.
I'm on a purenexus(aosp) rom and My device (kenzo)uses 1.8/1.8 GB of ram. It's a real problem. Comparing samsung galaxy s8 vs pixel device you can see what i'm talking about. (Youtube link is below) Why OEMs gets better results with their own UI and kernel customizations? Atleast, Can we get better Ram management on android o with stock kernel? I'm not talking about apple's iOS which is better in multitasking in any way..
https://youtu.be/UK8K-lhDFVw
I would like to get your opinion and suggestions how to improve RAM management on nougat. Atleast prove me that you don't have these my mentioned problems (please tell me your using ROM name, kernel and other mods you use).
Tried a lot ROMS but after some days of usage they end with poor ui performance with bad ram management behaviour..
Some saintly person with infinite knowledge is coming here to tell you that "free ram is wasted ram".
He won't care if your phone lags, apps reload and ui is unresponsive. He'll just repeat his favorite phrase.
"Free ram is wasted ram."
Let's see the first Saint's comment.
Oh and btw..
I'm facing the exact same problem. And I'm very pissed off with these saintly people repeating their favorite phrase. No solution found so far. Use greenify on as many apps as you can. It'll cause the problem to be a little more bearable.

Use custom kernel.
Also lately play services started hogging ram so I disabled some of the services :

Third if you have social media apps running they are the culprit, my gfs s7e lagged with Facebook, Instagram, viber, whatsapp etc.
Greenify solved the issue.

LOL so true, I was just thinking the same ? They'll say free ram is wasted but that's not true for a multitasker, like me, because I like to use 4 apps and be able to switch amongst them without reloading(I have 2GB variant)
Anyway, checkout my screenshot, I use greenify + 512mb zram(ElementalX kernel default settings)
P.s I'm on XenonHD
Never had such issue on any nougat rom. I use Resurrection remix 5.8.2 and Agni Kernel. Use Zram in kernel Auditor to boost performance little bit. I always have 700 to 800 free ram on 2g variant.
I set my LMK to 9-32-64-100-156-214 and I swear i can switch around with browser, facebook, message and gallery without reload anything . I'm on 2gb Kenzo with franco kernel
guys, use privacy guard / appops , and disable background working of unnecessary apps like
Solution: Root; tweak
A little bit of my story: Galaxy Tab S. What laptop (tablet - in the old days, laptops were great with that much ram, weren't they?) with 3 gb ram won't let you multitask?! When it was Kitkat, it was, well, alright. I upgraded to Marshmallow, and I was not able to multitask. Marshmallow on Galaxy J5 Prime leaves 800 MB without cache and over 1.2 GB without cache, out of 3 GB. Similar with Marshmallow/Tab S (+ overheating processor!). I mean what the ****? Is that planned obsolescence?
And now I am here, typing from Tab S, with: 5 tabs open in Chrome, 2 tabs in Xodo, Settings, Play Store, ES File Explorer, Task Bar (Braden Farmer) [at the least] - having changed to Lineage OS 14.1 (no good. by default), rooted and learnt about Low Memory Killer (in Deathly Adiutor); tweaked it and I have less than 300 MB free ram with cache and less than 875 MB free without cache. Yay! (Btw, the overheating problem is solved too by underclocking - to save battery and avoid overheating!) [I have spent at least two days testing out different OS and possibility-of-root and features.] So, this paragraph is my 2 cents.
Would like to hear from you if your problem is solved.
[PS: J5 Prime is still under warranty, and is used for basic functionalities - no problem there as of yet.]
I'm currently running RR nougat with randon kernel
The ram management is great i can swith fb ,youtube, chorme, mess without loading, but in long term the phone start slow, hang and battery drop super fast ( 5H SOT)
So i have to force 3 app running background to keep battery longer and stay away from lag.
Any ideas to keep great ram and free - lag ?!?
Tks in advance
Any idea
