Some recent rumours have broken and we are seeing an intriguing "good news, bad news" story. According to a couple of sources, HP is cancelling the current HP TouchPad orders that haven't shipped yet. That's the bad news. The good news is that the reason they are cancelling it is because they are going to retract their initial discontinuation of the product line, and re-continue it (plus they are completely out of stock as well).
In some ways this isn't that great, because the opportunity to get a decent tablet for the low-low price of £99 dollars is slipping away. Now, after seeing the relative success of the product with folks that either want a really cheap tablet, or folks that want to put Android on it, HP wants to revive it from the dead. Who knows... they may consider working out a licensing deal to get Android on it from Google. Of course, that is pure speculation at this point.

Highly sceptical.
Now, where is my BS meter?
I can't really see this happening... Then again, HP has kindof played the role of the Joker from Batman, by just burning money. Who discounts a tablet from $500 to $99... Seriously.
The Touchpad would have sold if they had discounted it to $250, I think. Its not that crippled, its just a young OS with some drawbacks that have not properly been addressed. Is the Playbook any better at this point?
I don't see HP getting back into anything, unless its at the lowball entry. Most of us would have never paid $500/$600 for this tablet, but $99 is a steal. A flat out steal. At $150 its a steal. And once a stable Android port makes its way (EVEN GINGERBREAD) this tablet will be amazing. WebOS is dying a slow death, albeit delayed by the sudden influx of users.

I just spoke with HP customer service who told me that, although they are out of stock, they are expecting a shipment of touchpad's and that all pending orders would be filled. She specifically told me that if your order had already been approved that you would have your order filled

OP's posting sounds more like a ploy started by the desperate sellers on ebay and the like that are stuck with touchpads they are trying to sell and no one wanting them at their overpriced askings. $250 would sound cheap if they were going to start making them again at full price.

The CNN article provides absolutely no evidence that HP is considering producing more. The closest it gets is this quote from HP Spokesman Budgell's faq on his blog:
Q: When is HP getting more HP TouchPads? One week, two weeks, a month?
We will have more information available in the next few days about whether or not more will be available and if so, what the details will be about the situation.

And even then, it doesn't make any suggestions about whether the available Touchpads would be from another production run, or from shipments returning from retailers.
As far as that Tracy and Matt website is concerned, if you dig into their forum post about the "rumors", it's based off a Facebook post by a Lee-Anne James, who is apparently a hairdresser.

Yes, that's the quality of the Facebook snapshot they provided. If you zoom is really far, you can read it. This rumor may turn out to be true, but I don't see any legitimacy in it as of now.
If you look at the simple economics here there is no way HP can continue to make new TouchPads. Remember, the hardware alone was determined to be worth approximately $320 by iSuppli (http://www.isuppli.com/Teardowns/News/Pages/HP-TouchPad-Carries-$318-Bill-of-Materials.aspx) who is the industry leader in doing price breakdowns. And that doesn't count NRE (non-recurring engineering costs of development), marketing, support, etc. HP could NEVER sell these devices at the original pricepoint again, not after they've sold half a million or more at $99/$149. They're losing too much money. The Touchpads that were already built or were already in the supply chain are a sunk cost but there won't be anymore after those are expended. Some are probably on a boat from China which is where the additional quantities come from.
I do this stuff for a living, I know how it works (I'm a production engineer).
Hp claims to be losing 100 mil on the tablets. Figure half of each model,so assume 125 each from sales. Thats assumption was said to assume 400 per tablet. Depending on if you count about 100 from each tablet or not, thats 25 to 30 million tablets. Best buy had 250k. how many have been sold is the question. (for comparison, there are around 30 million ipads sold,it may end ,at least for a short time, being the # 2 tablet)
As for them resuming production,i really doubt it. At best I could see them going for the low end with a cheap small screen discount tablet, but I would not hold my breath

Yup, which is why it's a rumor and they said "might", never claimed it was a fact, just that it's "Interesting".

With the Kindle 2 and Nook Color 2 around the corner, HP's wisest move was canceling their 7" tablet before a production run.
I'm not even going to click on that link. The story is bogus, flat out.

Exactly, even if they started selling them at cost it would be no different than before the firesale. Its a nice tablet, but if I'm going to spend that much there are far better choices currently available. I just don't believe they will ever be in production again.
well i'm travelling to malaysia next week so i'm expecting to see hundreds of hb touchpods at the various markets.
HP is losing way too much money to even consider starting to make these again, and people would laugh them out of business if they even tried to price these anymore than what they've been fireselling for.

The soap opera continues.... I've seen a lot of stories with different takes on this. Officially, I believe they're saying they are just producing another run mainly to fulfill outstanding orders. Apparently (read: "refreshingly") they still care about their company image. In my short time with WebOS, I've come to become quite enamored with it. I hope it and the Touchpad live on. Heck, it just skyrocketed in marketshare!
Man the big deal that's being made about this by people who don't understand how manufacturing works is just mind boggling.
They had a TON of parts sitting around and a production line sitting idle. All they did was decide that they would build out quantities to use up the remaining parts that they had on hand. These parts were ordered probably two or more years in advance of need. Their possible decisions were, throw the parts in a landfill, try to resell them, or use them as originally intended. Choice three is the lowest effort and lowest risk with a guaranteed return, so, done. Simple.
HP is going to have to pay for all those touchpads anyway. They most likely have a contract with the parts and mfg companies for XXX amount of tablets. They could either stop production and pay the parts/mfg companies anyway due to contract obligations or they build and sell what was already in the que. Yes it will be at a loss but only 2/3 of that loss. They could lose 3/3. So, selling what they can is the best move for them and for us. The more TP's sold to geeks, the stronger the dev community and the higher chance a larger player will jump in and take over the hardware and OS.

The problem is,WebOS is pretty much dead. Developers are not going to want to learn it. Think about it,if you have a choice of what to learn, you MIGHT have chosen WebOS before but now you just wont, you will learn to develop for Android or iOS. In fact,if you DO develop for WebOS ,I bet your seriously looking into iOS now,or android and I cant imagine your goign to go back and waste your time. Remember, these guys are doing this to pay their rent and put food on their table, not just to play around. Once HP abandoned it,it has that stigma associated with it and people are going to see it as a losing bet.
Hp threw a billion dollars away on Palm to get WebOS and there is no way they can get most of it back. What they SHOULD have done was drop the price of the tablet until it sold, and talk up their future plans while looking for someone to take it off their hands.
Essentially, its like they had a horse. It was having some health problems and they realized they just didnt want it any more. As such their options were, find someone else to take it off their hands or just shoot it and be done with it. What happened was they got it backwards. They shot the horse, now they are going around asking if anyone wants to take it off their hands.
the average cost of a Superbowl commercial is 3 million dollars for 30 seconds. So lost money from HP really dosent matter. To me, this was all a publicity stunt. And i'm happy, because i got a 150 dollar dual core tablet with 32GB of memory that is about to be ported to android..

Very good analogy. The only way I could see Samsung biting on a WebOS deal is if they could somehow work it similarish to how Blackberry is trying to do it, and have Android apps run on top of WebOS. WebOS would be their hedge against a Google/Motorola partnership, although doing it this way wouldn't be that good of a hedge because there still wouldn't be any native WebOS apps if in fact Samsung had to break away from Google/Android.

webOS will still be supported (According to HP) and patched and also the Palm Pre3 is coming with it on it. With Google making the Motorola deal it makes total sense for Samsung to acquire webOS. And you are right, HP spent $1.2 billion on Palm, you think they are just going to lay everyone off and dissolve the company? Sell it, make some cash. I listen to Wall Street which is usually right about these things because there's money involved. I am with everyone else, I got a TouchPad which works fine for $149. I could care less if anyone ever develops anything for it, it does pretty much everything right now, pretty well. If Android ports to it I will go there but for $149 it was less than my phone.
This entire TouchPad story is the biggest publicity that HP has had in 20 years. With HP in a tailspin, who knows what will happen. On WSJ.com read the article "HP's One Year Plan". That pretty much explains it. If I hear of TouchPads popping up I will report them here. I hope all XDA folks can get one, it's a great deal.
Publicity stunt? Yea, "look at us,we just flushed a billion, dollars of our shareholders money down the toilet, and followed it up by flushing another hundred million away instead of trying to sell off the remaining inventory in a controlled way,or use it as an incentive to drive other sales (buy an hp pc,get a 500 tablet free). On top of that,we want to sell of our pc division,so rather than just doing it,we decided to talk about it for 6 months first so there is plenty of time to be sure everyone can talk up what a loser it is and drive the market price down." I know they say "any publicity is good publicity, but thats really stretching it. It sounds more like "our company is falling apart so we desperatly want someone to take the worst parts off out hands and hope that we can generate enough cash to finance our desperate plan to cling to life"

At 75% Off, the H-P TouchPad is No Bargain
By Kelli B. Grant
A 75%-off sale is usually both a lure and warning: get cheap now what nobody wanted to pick up at full price.
Shoppers enticed by the fire sales on the $99 H-P TouchPad would do well to keep that in mind, some experts say. H-P recently discontinued the once $399-plus tablet, marking down the remaining inventory to as low as $99. Now the company says it plans to make one last small production run, to be sold this fall for an as-yet-unannounced price.
As today’s Wall Street Journal points out, the decision is odd from a business perspective: It costs H-P $306 to make one 16GB tablet, so selling it for $99 results in a $207 loss. (Analysts say H-P is likely just using the last of its pre-purchased parts.) But the real head-scratcher is why consumers are so eager to now buy a tablet that was roundly reviewed as disappointing for its heft, so-so operating system and lack of apps, says Andrew Eisner, director of content for Retrevo.com. “Unless you have $99 burning a hole in your pocket, you might want to wait,” he says.
After all, the tablet market is nothing if not competitive. The iPad 3 could be coming our way as soon as October, and Amazon is months away from releasing two tablets expected to cost less than $300, Eisner says. Tablet-makers are also likely to offer more incentives during the busy holiday shopping season, says Louis Ramirez, a senior feature writer for sale site DealNews.com. Two days after H-P discontinued the TouchPad, for example, sales popped up on Samsung’s Galaxy tablet, dropping the price from $340 to as low as $280. Deals will be at their best during the week of Black Friday, he predicts.
Material costs make it unlikely that other tablet manufacturers can go much below the $199 price point right now, says Chris Connery, vice president of PC and IT displays for market researcher DisplaySearch. Yes, that’s twice the price of the TouchPad, but those tablets also come with operating systems that have support and updates going forward; the TouchPad has that for now, but H-P has discussed spinning off or selling WebOS, which makes the future of that support uncertain, he says. That also means there’s no incentive for developers to come up with apps that work on the tablet.
Still, the $99 H-P TouchPad provides the best opportunity for consumers who don’t want much more than a cheap way to surf the Internet from their couch, Eisner says. “It might make a nice collector’s item,” he says.
Clarification: A previous version of this story was unclear about H-P’s commitment to support the TouchPad and WebOS.

That was a very entertaining read.
I think you will see lots of devs building apps for webos. There is a large vacuum to fill here, android and ios are already saturated with apps.
My thoughts, there are a few advantages to HP:
1. They have an parts or a contract for X number of units. Seeing the demand it is more cost effective to build these units even if they are taking a loss. Canceling the contract may have cost the the same amount or more.
2. With the number of unites now on the market there will be more incentive for developers to deliver more WebOS apps. The expanded ecosystem also give WebOS more value for potential licensees or buyers.

Well, she got the job. Time will tell if Ms. Whitman is what they needed or whether she is the same "Nut-Meg" that blew $100 million dollars on her failed gubernatorial attempt.
Seeing as how her business savvy did make her a billionaire at eBay, I want to see if her consumer-focused attitudes will also help us out with WebOS. If she is smart, she will have realized the TP firesale phenomenon is a sign that they could even restart production and sell quite a few more, just not at the original MSRP. Obviously, they can't afford to sell them at $99 again, but they COULD sell them at $249 or so and make up the difference with a heavily expanded software catalog. Hell, add a truly functional USB host and SD Card expandability and I would pay $300 for the thing today.
Amazon is willing to sell their tablet at a loss, hoping for potential revenue from online books and movies.
A team up with Amazon to sell them, sell movies, music, apps, etc., would be a match made in heaven in my opinion.
I've used IOS, Android and WebOS on a tablet.
I'll take how WebOS works every time.
However, the browser is terrible and the apps (or lack thereof) suck...
Put Amazon behind them, devs will jump on board for the product and apps...

Bummer about having to buy them in combination. I feel like this last batch was over-promised.

I find this kinda ironic. In the past I've seem companies get slammed for treating their employees poorly. Here, HP throws them a bone and outsiders like us get upset because we're not in on it. We don't know how many HP still has in stock, and lets not forget they must keep a reserve in stock for warranty support.
I think most agree the Touchpad as originally priced and marketed was doomed from the start. Mistakes were made, but I see no business obligation to continue the fiasco. What if they sold them again like they did back in August? The rush of orders brought down many online resellers (shortly after my Rep placed my order, their servers went down. Apparently their VoIP was over the same network as it went down at the same time). Even if there is enough stock to sustain such a rush, I doubt they're eager to go through that again for no profit. I see the bundle deal coming from Best Buy in November as a smart way to offload them at the firesale price (along with some mediocre Compaqs) without being overwhelmed with orders for one of the biggest loss-leaders I've seen. Just calling it as I see it.

The last run didn't go to employees, it went to filling backorders... LOTS of them. They also offered them to their employees. They have no obligation to sell them to you at a loss. Apparently employees bought many more than they anticipated.
I do take issue with selling them as a bundle when many of us where on e-mail list and where told more where coming.

I don't know that their are plenty left. All the pack orders are being filled (or have been by now). The employee had their chance to buy some weeks back. That was probably the majority of the final production run. But like I stated above the bundle doesn't seem right after sending an e-mail telling us their will be more coming for us to buy.

A agree, and the bundle is probably a smarter way to unload the remaining Touchpads while selling some computers with out the craze that took place last time. Maybe that would of been a better business decision from the get start. BUT, after having us sign up for notifications and telling us more are on the way, they should of honored that buy allowing us to buy the TouchPads with out having to buy a Best Buy bundle.
I am not going to say that what HP was wrong, but advertising that they had more coming was WRONG! They should not have said they were going to have more available to buy when they had no plans to ever let normal customers buy one.
technically you will get a chance to buy them at firesale price so...

the thing is,they told us to sign up and said there would be more. the knew damn well we assumed they would be sold under similar terms. they let us wait. They then made announcements about when they would be available. then finally, they changed it all and told us no more would be available, except as part of a promo to sell other hp products. of course people are angry. if they would have told people in August "A final run will be made to cover outstanding orders, and the remainder will be offered as part of a promotion when buying an hp computer. No additional stock will be available for purchase outside of the promotional program" it would be fine. instead, they told us one thing, then changed their mind. in fact, last week they said they would be for sale but the vedors would choose the price, this.week they are 149 with the purchase of an hp computer.
They said they never walked away from the software whatsoever, I suppose that's why they stopped updating pivot right?
The greedy bastards that work at Hewlett Packard are going to get what's coming to them.
After Bestbuy messed up my preorder three times, was going to processed my order, had 2 simultaneous tf201 orders on Que, they were almost ready to be ship but at the end BB run out of stock and they just simply apologized by email, I got no rebates, incentives or any coupon of any kind for all my trouble as they promised. After 40 days literally fighting trying to get my tf201(gray or champagne w/ dock), reading all complains and issues about the rushed tf201, and after seeing my brand new tf101 power button starting to failed(getting loose just after 1 week of use) I decided to give up with asus tablets. it might be just bad luck but will definitely wait for acer, lenovo or even apple, whoever releases a new tegra 3 tablet or ipad 3 device will get my money. At the end I already have a tf101 and ipad2. Does anybody know if rooting a tf101 will void asus warranty?

I agree with the guy above me... cool story bro (I haven't gotten any type of rebate for amazon not shipping my order that I placed on the 22nd, and it isn't a deal breaker even if others are getting $50 for whining)

Sorry, but it's fascinating to me how many people out there actually think anyone else really cares what they will or won't do with stuff they have or have not bought. This affects me how, exactly?
And in case anyone DOES care, I bought a caramel macchiato this morning, and I'm glad I did.

DUDE! NO WAY!!! AWESOME!!! I wish I had one
I bought one of those big Rice Krispie Treat bars. It was teh yum! I am, however, not buying the Cool Ranch Doritos chips. After first finding out that they vending machine company increased the price of the chips to $.90 I was really frustrated. But, having worked out a deal with a coworker I was able to scrounge up the extra change and purchase the chips. Upon punching in the numbers I realized that the were mislabeled and instead, I got a granola bar. This was very frustrating as I don't live in Colorado and I don't eat granola. At this point I went and complained to the receptionist who told me there wasn't anything she could do about it. After about 10 minutes of sobbing in the fetal position, a different employee walking in the door dropped $1 off at my feet and told me to go "get a hot chocolate." I said thanks, but obviously had no intention of getting a stupid hot chocolate. I returned to the vending machine and found that the dollar was very wrinkled and it took me nearly 15 minutes to get it to work in the machine. By this time I was just about ready to give up. Miraculously, the dollar was accepted. With a full $1 credit in the machine, I decided to buy some Fritos.

sorry to hear about bad experience but if you think Acer products are built any better you are mistaken. just go with the closed ecosystem of ipad3 and become a zombie chained and at the mercy of what Apple wants you to do with your device. whenever it comes to apple products, although well built, its whatever they say and think goes. no freedom to do as you please with your tablet. even if you jailbrake, that's only to do half the things Android does right out the box. o have an Ipad n love it but in no way compares to the power, quality, and overall mulitfunctions that the Prime brings.
good luck..Addios Amigo

There seems to have been alot of confusion on the Prime's status in the market. I for one can state that Best Buy has NOT fully removed it from their system, and it can still be ordered and exchanges can be made!

This was done two days ago, and ask you can tell, the CS rep was able to locate it in their system, to send me a new one. I really love this product, and I will post this in the positive Prime thread as well.
Also, of course new models will come out. I personally would take a 201 of the 700. Why? The design is amazing. I don't use GPS unless I am on a internet connection, and I never have before. (Besides, I don't know if its just me, but Maps won't even open for me if I don't have a internet connection. It just says please connect to use Maps, and the app closes.). The Wifi and Bluetooth issues that existed has been fixed. While GPS is lackluster, at least it was included. Just look at the 183206 views of this Apple topic about no GPS in the Wifi iPad 2. (http://bit.ly/wSuep7). People were furious! Apple did "****" to announce why it was not included. At least ASUS made a public statement, said the type of metal was not giving GPS the proper performance it needed.
I believe ASUS's plan WAS to included GPS all along, and it was NOT to be used as a MAIN feature. If you caught in the middle of no where, without internet, it was your last resort. If you had an iPad, you were SOL. So thank you ASUS for including it.
Hell, if you are gonna wait for the 700, the iPad 3 will be out by then. And when it doesn't have GPS and its lacluster, here have the iPad 3.5 with a .5 more megapixals in the camera. But then CES 2013 is only a few more months away, lets wait till then. Catchin my drift? Make use of that quad core goodness you have, and feel safe that just cause a new item comes out does not render your device useless.
While I don't call this a "rant", I do hope I explained it to the best ability I can, in my view, of this whole issue. Please post your comments below, and make them constructive. I don't come to XDA to post on what the hell you think of ASUS. This is forum is for general discussion, not taking advantage of insurance exchanges, *****ing out people that are just trying to help you, etc.
I plan to use my dock, Prime, and case for my Prime for a good two years during school.
ASUS lover, and non-fanboy,
Timothy
The Champagne was completely removed from BestBuy.com (as of a week ago). The Grey one was never removed (except for a week or two back in early December if I remember correctly).
Rumour is that there won't be an iPad 3 this year, just an iPad 2.5 with enhanced screen and processor. Don't expect a ground breaking release from Apple.

I know which panel they are using.. cough cough..
When I looked on best buy's site they didn't show any were available to order about 2 weeks ago. The CSR told me that for some reason they had plenty of stock in their warehouse but for some reason the website never showed they were available to order. Mine is coming on Tuesday according to my UPS tracking number. It is the gray version which is fine with me, I just hope it is a bug free one.
My guess is they are keeping the remaining stock as mostly replacements to the people who already have bought them. When they get the stock with the updated boxes to reflect no GPS they will start selling those in the stores.

Hmm, that would mean not as big of a resolution increase as some people seem to think. It would also mean that Asus is going to have a hard time keeping the TF700 in stock.

Rumours are of a 2048 x 1536 resolution panel. That's 50% more pixels than the Tf700. Might be out of date news though.
I work for Best Buy and in our internal inventory system, they took alot of stuff related to the Prime out of the system, like the Grey 32GB. It makes for a bad experience when someone asks me where to get one and I have the SKU and I know where to find it in the backend of the system too and it's INTENTIONALLY removed. Now I can't even look at what other stores in the district might have it. Awesome.

I meant more that Apple seems to be in bed with suppliers and if ASUS is using the same display Apple has chosen then ASUS is most likely the company that is going to have a hard time getting supplied with them.

I just wish that they had a replacement for me. I asked for a replacement, I really wanted a replacement. They didn't have any and she couldn't find one for me.
If I could have had my last Prime, Minus the "Serial Number Unknown" Problem, I would have been so happy. I would have taken a replacement in a minute, they just didn't have one.
Now, the problem is, I have $140 in Gift Cards at Best Buy, all gifts from the holidays, and I basically have to buy it at Best Buy cause there is nothing else there I want to spend my money on.

do you know if best buy finally got some cases in for the prime? last time I checked they only had ipad2, Samsung galaxy 10.1, and Toshiba thrive cases. I might have to end up ordering one online if I can't find one in a store. I ended up by a Targus netbook style case but its more of a travel pouch. I need a case to slip this into that I can leave it on it. I still find myself being extra careful as not to drop it. Any case I get would being able to go onto the prime and also fit inside the Targus netbook style case/pouch.

Contacted Gary, yesterday, about getting a full refund from Asus, . Explained I could live with light bleed and sub-par wifi performance. Expecting Asus to fix the GPS issue, I kept my Prime past the Bestbuy 14 day window. I believe in getting what was advertised at time of purchase, which was GPS, not Limited GPS or Hamstrung GPS. Instead, as we all know, Asus has swept the issue under the rug and this is one thing I cannot live with.
I have contacted Asus about a refund and so far the only resolution they have offered is to set up an RMA...............do they now have a fix for the GPS?

As already said, those interested in refunds should publicize Gary Key's comments more widely to other blogs and hold him accountable for his offer. A follow-up with CNet's Eric Franklin, author of the CNet interview, should be a first step. Do not take no for an answer; get off your fat butt to get a response yourself, instead of waiting for somebody else to do the work for you. Don't be a coward, it's your money.
With the ongoing suit, if you don't get an affirmative response from Gary Key or Asus, you can also contact the plaintiff's attorneys to assist them in their discovery effort. Reneging on a public offer of refund would be fairly damaging evidence.
For those late to the party, Gary Key, Technical Marketing Manager of Asus, has a standing refund offer for anyone dissatisfied with the GPS performance in their Transformer Prime, in the recent (Feb 17, 2012) CNet interview.
http://news.cnet.com/8301-1035_3-57373634-94/putting-the-transformer-prime-in-perspective/
"We discovered that due to the all-aluminum unibody design structure, the GPS performance was not satisfactory for all users, especially those wanting to use the device as a true GPS and not in aGPS mode. We took the only step possible in this case and removed GPS from the official specifications shortly after the unit went on sale. We apologized for this inconvenience and offered to assist users who wanted to return the unit after the announcement." [emphasis added]

I guess it depends on how you look at it. First, Apple defended their position. Then they caved and offered a bumper case that, with shipping, probably cost them $5. From the lawsuit, they'll be paying iP4 users $15 cash. It's hard to identify how many have been sold but let's guess 50MM. Assuming 35MM file a claim; Apple will pay out $525MM. Which do you think they'll take in to consideration when developing, testing, and releasing future products? Some flak from customers which they originally denied? Or, half a billion dollars in lost profit? Apple was hoping antenna-gate would just die down on its own, the lawsuit(s) kept it visible and in the public eye. For a company that prides itself on design, that was probably a bigger hit than the dollars.
Long story short, these suits rarely net big bucks for the plaintiffs but they're a hell of a lot better than allowing $1B companies to self-police themselves which led Apple (and Asus) to reach their original determinations that "there was nothing wrong." And there’s a difference between the Apple and Asus cases. The iP4 had to be held in a specific and awkward position to have the problem occur. GPS on the Prime is just FUBAR and so is wireless on some devices. Remedies vary depending on severity so it’s not unheard of for refunds or exchanges to be offered where problems greatly impact usability.

If you're going to use pics to make your points, can you at least resize them? It's a mobile device forum and your pics take up 3/4 of the display.
Anyway, you'll be the first in line to exchange your used Prime for a new TF700 if that's offered as an option and will gladly except free money if that too is an option. So will everyone here whether they're for or against a lawsuit. So, lighten up on the hypocrisy.

Guarantee , if Asus offers a full refund or some type of exchange for a new TF700, just about all the ,"How dare you denounce the Holy Grail of Tablets Crowd", will be first in line !
