Last hour,my optimus just felt from my bathroom(duh)
its about 1meter ,and i am pretty sure there is no water inside (coz the bathroom is pretty clean, and my phone is coated with a protector) sound like a moron
now, whenever i try to boot my phone its only show blackscreen
there is no lovely yellow screen, just black(i already tried vol+home+power)
but i am sure, despite my phone only show black screen its normally boot up(and working)
and that true!!i received a call from my mother lately!(and i can accept tat call)
so,my question is:
is my warranty can clean this mess?
of course i will say to the beloved-smart-service-guy-can-do anything;
"Last night i was playing a game, and suddenly it reboot and my phone only show black screen" #dummyface
No sign of exterior damage? If no then just try to fool the service guy. There's nothing to lose
nah
unluckly i found small scratch near power button
but,is this true tat my PCB is broken?
am i right or am i right???

Hi guys, i'm having a probelm with my cell phone screen. I had a Boxwave screen protector on that i took off yesterday. As soon i took it off, i noticed under "white light", that there appears to be some sort of deposit in form of square shape in the middle of the phone screen . Now this is wierd because wiping off the screen doesnt do anything. If i stayed under "ÿellow light" this "deposit is not visible". Ive tried cleaning with soap and water, but its still there. I also tried 70% isopropyl alcohol all to no avail. I dont think its inside the screen, because i havent dropped it in water or nothing. Anyone had any experience with this or any ideas??

Hi.. i dropped my phone last night by mistake and it gave me an issue with the screen. The screen is not rendering colours properly it is showing yellow patches on it but when i flex the phone or press the bottom part of the phone it works perfectly fine.i thought there might be something loose so i opened the phone myself and tightened the screws and the lock cables but this did not help me as well.Have i damaged the screen or the digitizer?also when i put in the charging cable and move cable up down the color changed to green or sometimes blue
you probably loosened something inside. more to the point, if you touched the screw with the sticker on the warranty is void.
i dont have warranty mate
guys i dropped my hd2 the screen did not crack but it is showing yelow patches.i mean the clouds are yellow too.when i flex my phone the colour comes back to normal.i gave my phone to the htc repair center they said my motherboard/mainboard's socket has a problem and needs a replacement which is very expensive. After it fell when i keep the phone in my pocket and when i remove it after a while to use it,it does not wake up and i have to pul out the batery and restart it.Now my question is can it realy be the mainboard isue?or its my screen malfunctioning?i have a doubt on this.please help.

I got the same.
I dropped it twice, now my screen is f*cked.
When I bent it a little bit it goes back to normal.
I'm waiting for a fully backup program for all my apps/sms/photo's/etc before I want to give it to a repair center. Want to make it so dat I never dropped it and the screen just suddenly started to act very strange. Hope it will fall under warranty
Do you perhaps know a full backup program?
(something like you also use on a normal pc like making a ghost image, and when the phone returns you can load the image and everything is back to normal including your own apps/photo's/sms etc...)

Hi guys,
My SGS2's screen suddenly had this problem, where the screen will flash randomly even though i locked it. To make matters worse, my home button not working now. I suspect it could be water got into the phone, when i tried to apply the screen protector the night before? What you guys reckon i should do? It's unfortunately out of warranty now.
Have you rooted flashed custom rom if so re-do it with full wipe
see if problem remains.because your out of warranty look for disassemble video
tutorial check all contacts and ribbons/possible water damage might need new screen this can be expensive if you don't do it yourself
i'm using non-rooted official rom XXPLX ICS, so i don't believe the problem is with the rom since it was ok for the past month. Must be been water that got into it...guess i'll just have to soak it in rice bag for a week like some advised and see how it goes...finger crossed...
ok just to update..now my screen seems to be ok now (no more flashing)..but seems like my home button is dead. Any way i can get around it? I find it hard to justify paying $200+ to fix a home button XD
I saw on the net there's some self repair tool for home screen but it just look too complicated...

If they work like Apple (and I doubt this) then Apple wants 210 € for a flat rate replacement -- nobody actually repairs water damage as it's very hard to guarantee ALL damage was seen and fixed...
Ideally you should have removed the battery immediately (because everyone with an allegedly waterproof phone always has the appropriate screwdrivers on hand), washed it with pure water and dried in rice for at least 4 days, it's probably too late now but you might want to try this sequence anyway, it can't end up worse
