that will be a VERY interesting feature to have. no doubt
thks for pointing that out maybe z and/or j can work on it?
if i am not wrong, CWRec is not supported in x10. that is why Xrec is created in the first place.

we already have a workable CWM HERE from J but...v4
I have asked in CWM recovery facebook page to give official support to x10 by rom manager app and CWM recovery...

Think it would be implemented soon, but that would imply that devs have to use edify scripting instead when making zips.

i am already working on it

When you load pc companion or SEUS you will see a button to check for updates, it will then tell you the software is up to date but would you like to reinstall it anyway. If you click 'yes' it will then begin downloading the latest 'official' SE 2.1 ROM and install it (wiping your phone in the process).

Yes obsidian eclipse is right, that will get you back to stock if u use seus

@obsidian_eclipse
Well last time I tried that, it hadnt asked me to reinstall it... Im interested, how long ago was this method out?
@adidtnt;
Anyway, if you get in trouble with it, you can always manually flash an old official rom to it and then update it through SEUS.
thanks the SEUS worked but did it delete the recovery or not ?

I rooted my x10 mini android 2.1 to 2.3 CyanogenMod 7.0 with this version my SD card didnt work. Then tried CyanogenMod 7.9, after restart theres only Sony Ericsson logo on the screen, then I disconnectied battery and phone went to clockworkmode. From there I cant do anything. I have tried to restore( no files ) and then reinstall android but installation was aborted. when I reboot my phone then logo stays.
NEXT DAY: something happened, riht now only Sony Ericsson logo on the screen. clockworkmode does not work anymore!
I hope somebody can help me out. Its my first Android and im new at this.
Update ur phone using pc companion. Or Sony Ericsson update service ....

dont do it, use mini-04, which is stock rom + root and without all the se garbage.
Everything works perfectly and its fast and smooth.
Disable auto-brightness and you got a perfect little droid.
@ schmolch
thx i works just fine
normally i just use pc companian , then superoneclick to root, and titaninium back up to remove the se crap
but this is a lot faster

x10 is waaaay different than x10 mini/pro
you better go to x10 forums before you do somethimg that will brick your phone
(in order to understand the differencies in mini we cannot even touch the kernel not upgrade/downgrade.... )

move to Q&A
Are you using the cwm that you get from the android market because as far as I know that doesnt support the mini pro.
Try installing the cwm recovery that is for our phones. Can be found in this forum and then use that to backup your rom.
Sent from my X10 Mini Pro using XDA Premium App
root, then install xrecovery with flashtool.
then follow these instructions
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1106146
You can install CWM straight off using http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1257701
Rom Manager. Instant brick very easy. One little wrong choice and youre toast. Hardbrick=change of cpuboard. Or jig work.
I speak from xperience .
Seen too many post with noobs playing with this app. Its not for SE phones. So dont use it. Way too easy to brick.
Use xrecovery to make nandbackups. Doomkernel <-
EDIT:this is ofcourse ROM MANAGER APP. nothing else. sorry for confusion.
And where to find xrecovery for 2011 xperias ?
Don't tell me to search in the forum there's no post about it, expect one with compatibility problem with the ray.
if you know what you're doing it is impossible to destroy the phone, by the way cell phones service need to earn a little money

Kernel can only be installed via PC and fastboot.
You cannot edit something, while it is being used.

thanks for your response .. coz i found out in the market name "kernel manager" will flash the kernel in sdcard.. i dont think if it is works in mini pro.
its because se phones dont have dedicated partition for recovery, the recovery itself is embedded into kernel boot.img.

that may be not completely true, since there is recovery for stock rom with the stock kernel.
so there may be a way to loop into recovery to another partition where the rom is..
i'm not completely sure though, and have no idea how to explain it..
just an observation
Recovery can be installed to system partition or in the kernel. Both is possible.
