Creating a RPG game - Windows Mobile Apps and Games

Hello!
A few weeks ago, i wanted to create a game like Dungeon & Dragons but of Windows Mobile. You know, something like a Text Game RPG.
First things that camed trough my mind:
Name: Drakonian Adventures(Not sure but im waiting sugestions).
Type: Medieval/Fantasy RPG
Class/Race: Well... as for the races will be the normal RPG races(Humans, Elves, Dwarves, Orcs <maybe more?>) and for classes(Warrior, Mage & Ranger <maybe 1-2 more>).
I got a few characters, story, location ideeas, but i want to know a few from you .
Well, first tought about pragraming was to build it uing Visual Studio 05/08, but im not sure that you can make "saves" in VS, you know... files like mygame.sav(or whatever was the extension) from witch the player can resume the game.
If you like it, I will need a bit of help with the programing:
1. How to create save files & a load/save game system in VS(maybe other cross-platform app?).
2. Loading screens? I don't get the "Progress Bar" to work on my HTC.
3. Ambient/Background sounds for diferent locations?
4. Getting it to work on all screens? QVGA, VGA, WVGA...
Do you think this is a good project? Shall I continue with it or throw it to the trash can?

Do you need the games?

ok are any of you actualy playing the build in games?
solitaire! hehehe bubbles is not fun
Sometimes miss a good arkade
ANyway I VOTE NO... You could let ppeople have the possibility to install them after flashing
Acctually, I myself I'm not playing, but my friends are (lol). Usually Bubble Breaker (I played for a while myself, record over 2500 on MegaShift ), rarely Solitare.
I don't play any games at all. And if I do, I do it in the bus, train... etc. = when I have nothing better to do.
Games
No, i dont ever play games, it will really free up some space if you exclude them.

Agree. Wipe them out. You can use the space for some useful stuff (Total Commander, for example)
replacing with more exciment game become more fun

Sometimes I play Bubble Breaker on toilette ...
Maybe remove them and make a *.cab for the guys which want them ...
dont need any games. i would also appreciate if office wouldnt be integrated in the rom, and only for installation with cab ... or second version with office .... or selectable which components of office can be installed. i only need excel for my drivers log, but powerpoint eats 1.9mb of device storage, but i never use that app.
I voted no since if im playing a game it will be a non standard game.
Only my GF will punish me if it is gone
My girlfriend plays bubbles all the time)
I think Games could be useful in case of Boringness.. But If u want to make it not build in on Prophet touch VIII. It's okay.. But please give a cab for us too.. So it could be usefull for people who like games.
I play it too sometimes..
no...............
no, remove them please and post the cabs
My son plays Bubblebreaker, so please keep it.
middle path
removing from rom and making a cab of those two games is the middle path i think..the best solution..

so, you vote for removing games?

i played bubble braker for a while in the beginning of my pda experience, when i rich a quite high score which i cannot rich again easily i quit playing.
i hate solitare. i prefer freecell in card games category.
if removing games don't open up much space it can be remain, but if you can do, separate *.cab files would be more efficient for all.
thank u gullum for your very nice hard work!
Please remove the built in games
I agree the built in games should be removed.
Guys I bet your kids and girlfriends are telling you they are playing games in your mobile:
- They are not playing solitaire or Bubble breaker
- They are reading you messages and checking up who you are calling these days.

what about the kids they would say daddys got a strange phone he had games previously now he is lying that the games are gone ,so next day if he gets a chance he would throw daddy's phone into bath tub ,
middle solutions is provide games in cab form somewhere so that who ever wants it loads it seperately But remove them from formal rom version ,which already has stability and other important issues to look forward to .

somthing to do on the train.
Would it be possible to move all three tiles in a row at once, as can be done with the real life game? Moving them one at a time takes longer and adds to the number of moves.
Hi! New game from april32.com comes soon. Here are some new screenshots from.
Stay turned.
15Touch for WebOS
Could you make the same app for WebOS. It should be fairly easy because to develop for WebOS you only need to have web developing skills

I think that you're not alone in this search... it sounds like the holy graal quest in windows mobile... as I've read this asking thing in many french forums.
as far as I know, it doesn't exist this software for windows mobile. And as it's not possible to use iphone or androïd's applications on winmo...
But you can try with "Voice Twister" of "Screaming Bee"...
Voice Twister is the first professional application that gives you the power to morph your voice on a Windows Mobile device.
Voice Twister is the first professional software that gives you the power to morph your voice on a Windows Mobile device.
The easy to use voice selection will have your friends and family laughing as your voice is converted to a Space Squirrel, or your kids are talking like a Giant at story time. Choose from the many preset voices, or you can use Tweak and Speak to change the pitch and add an effect, creating a unique voice of your own.
In addition to live voice changing, Voice Twister can play an existing audio file in the morphed voice, and save it to a new file. You can also record and save your live voice for play back later.
NOTE: Voice Twister is not designed to use during a phone call and cannot morph your voice within a phone call.
Here are some key features of "Voice Twister":
· Live morphing using Push-To-Talk (like a walkie-talkie) or if you have a headset, real-time morphing as you speak.
· Record your morphed voice to a wave file for later use.
· Morph and play an uncompressed wave file and optionally save it to a new file.

thanks
thanks for ur kindly information dude..
really this is problem when it comes to games and application on windows mobile....
the developers like gameloft etc. not make games for wm...
take android or iphone for such app.
I mean howmany good gui supported games for windows mobile?
even we cannot have such good games for our motion sensor supported...
What are you talking about? Gameloft makes a ton of games for Pocket PC. As does EA Mobile. The Java versions for feature phones will also work via a MIDP compliant Java VM like phoneME. They are mostly sold via your carrier's WAP store, though. I guess that is what you meant. And yeah, they are difficult to get if your carrier doesn't sell them and there are no trials available to see if they are worth purchasing. Though, I guess things can also be found via Google. I haven't really tried.

[Q] Jar files on Android

Hey, guys!
Yesterday, I suddenly got a vibe, and felt like playing "The Big Roll In Paradise" game from Symbian60v5. So, I read an online tutorial to convert my SIS files to JAR files, and then those JAR files into APK files.
So, I got a JAR file of Real Football 2010, and tried to emulate it with a variety of Java emulators such as phoneMe, JBed and J2Me Runner. But still, the maximum I am able to reach is to the Gameloft logo...
Does anyone, *anyone* on here care about playing Symbian games on their Android phones? Would anyone be willing enough to take up the job?
I know I'll get flared by the experienced members for even asking such a question, but then, I'm really missing some of the Symbian games which aren't available for Android or iOS..
BTW, if someone wants to know about the source, here you go:
http://www.androidgyan.com/2011/09/run-symbian-sis-sisx-files-android.html
Bump-ity Bump! Could anyone please possibly help me? I'd highly appreciate it!
Hiya did you hear anything onthis? Ive been missing the big roll in paradise too! Shame its made by nokia and not another developer :-/
Nope... Nothing. It's a superb game. One worth paying a huge amount of money. Unfortunately, couldn't find a way around this... Do you know anything about it?
1. With your JAD & JAR files, go to: Get APK and convert to an APK file
2. Save your APK file onto your SD card
3. Install Java J2ME Runner App
4. Using AppManager, install the created apk file from your SD card
Your file should be found both in your main folder; as well as in the J2ME's "App Manager". You may need to play with the configuration to get the program to fit alright. I have Auto detect Game Canvas clicked; but have had to change it for a few games...
It's not perfect, but it seems to work alright with some of my old java games.

Need Help Finding Games with Built In Cheats

I'm not sure if this has been asked before but I'm looking for games with built in cheats for android. All I know is that a quick search on Google and on YouTube only turned up a few results (eg. Final Fantasy IX, Final Fantasy VII, Eternal Legacy) I'm not looking to root my device, or even Sideload a shady APK, just a list of games that have either built in cheats or some form of cheat input (much like the old days of gaming, remember the special Konami code) If you could please help make a list, that would be great, also I'm very new to android gaming :/ lol
Edit: also tell me what you did to get those built in cheats, hidden menus, etc

Guess I'll post some of the ones I found up on YouTube so far
Final Fantasy IX (iOS/Android) built in cheats, this is on iOS but it also applies to the Android version as well
https://youtu.be/MgN7ivta0cA
Final Fantasy VII (iOS/Android) built in cheats, this is on iOS but it also applies to the android version as well
https://youtu.be/U7QRc5MPX5M
(Don't agree with the running commentary I actually liked FFVII)
Sonic the Hedgehog 2 (Android) Cheat and Debug Code (this also applies to the Sonic the Hedgehog 1 for Android game as well)
https://youtu.be/yFzHOisUtcw
Eternal Legacy (Android) Hidden Cheat Menu, I believe you tap the left corner of the screen a few times :/
https://youtu.be/q19pAefRW6g
that's all I was able to find on my own so far :/ anyone else know of some more please list here
