...But that doesn't mean it's going to work with the pen...Because they would need to have had access to the pen SDK from HTC.
Did they say it would work with HTC's pen? Did they get early access or something?
It would make my day if this application worked with the pen...
That was the number one reason i bought the Flyer and we still can't use the pen with the drawing apps.
I am waiting patiently...
The Sketchbook blog mentions that the honeycomb version will support devices with pressure sensitivity, so hopefully that means they were able to get the SDK early, or had n-trig in the loop somehow.
Here's hoping anyway!
Was wondering if this App can be ported into our Flyer? Would be a quick solution if someone knew how to make this happen, until someone releases an app or we get the update. Looking at the Lenovo Pad, it looks like it can work. Just don't know how difficult the whole process is.

[Q] question for those on HC roms

I was just wondering if anyone on a HC rom has tried the Xoom versions of any gameloft games. Im on a froyo rom and Asphalt 6 works but the others either don't fit on the screen or don't run at all.

[Q] will there be honeycomb for g8 ?

hi,
I am new to archos and android tablets. Tried using 101 g9 and its great but I,m thinking of buying the 101 model with fullsized usb (which is gen8 I presume). one main downside of it is the froyo 2.2 system only.
don't know all the advantages of honeycomb over it yet but honeycomb seems better. are there any chances it will be ported to 101 g8? is the hardware capable?
sorry but didnt find anything relevant on this forum
Well, Honeycomb probably never, source code is not available. Ice Cream Sandwich is an option, but time will tell if 256 MB is enough for it.
Are you aware that G9 has full size usb ? The USB port dedicated to 3G dongle is full size and not really "dedicated", it can be used for hard drive for instance. It doesn't accept everything, but I presume this is the same for G8.

wrong. source code got release together with ICS, but who want's HC if he could get ICS?
Archos are releasing an Archos 70 gen8 v2, with Honeycomb early next year. It has 512mb ram and 1024 x 600 resolution but still runs on a OMAP 3.

Maybe someone will manage to get the Honeycomb rom working on original gen 8 tablets.

Well, yes and no, they said they were releasing source code, but there is no branch or tag for HC so it's not really ballpark to build. And yes, not worth the effort now that we have ICS source.

Thanks for asnwers guys.
Where should a usb stick appear if connected to this full usb at the back ? Today I tried sticking in one that fits but there was nothing in the file manager (but ok this particular pendrive has some problems)
the usb is only working if you switch on 3g.

Flyer ICS / Jellybean with FF Camera

Hi,
XBMC is coming out for Android and it looks like it's requiring ICS or higher for proper support. This is driving me to upgrade my Flyer from HC. At the same time, I want to retain front facing camera support as I use my Flyer for Skype & SIP video calling.
The Dexter Jellybean ROM looks really good but it appears that there is no camera support (that's not knocking the work he's done - I appreciate there is a technical issue here)?
Does anyone know if Camera support is coming for this ROM? If not - can anyone recommend an ICS ROM.
Thanks

You're right - and it works on my HC Flyer as well. I've heard that development is going to be focussed on ICS and above only though - so I guess there 'may' be issues as the application develops. I currently have problems with my HD Homerun stream dropping out and was wondering if a newer Android build was a better foundation stone.
I'm starting to see one or two other apps that are not supported on HC as well. It would just be cool if I could upgrade without losing the front facing camera but I appreciate it's not everyones priority.
Xbmc for android does not support 1080 hd as it does not have hw acceleration enabled. There are sides builds out there that use external players like mx that can provide hw acceleration

What to do with an old noname tablet

Hello, dear community,
I have a question about what I should do with an old Tablet. (It is an "Exagerate XZPAD970H" (hamletcom.com)).
Android 4.0.4 is installed.
There is no manufacturer ROM available, at least I didn't find one.
Now, most of newer apps don't work on it, but the tablet itself works fine, though slowly.
Now ist my question: Is it worth to investagte something and trying to update the table or is it better to put it away?
Greetings and thanks,
Florian

Put it into electronic waste: 1 GB RAM, 4 GB max storage, 1.5 GHz CPU ...
