So...
Rooted phone, downloaded ROM Manager, wanted to try out ROMs and was informed that I needed CWM Recovery to do so.
So, I select to install it and am prompted to pick my device from the list. It isn't there so I select "huwai pulse". Installation successful etc...
I attempt to backup my current ROM and immediately after selecting it, the screen goes black. Nothing happens. The power keys don't work, I can't boot into recovery, nothing happens when I plug it in, it is as good as a dummy display phone.
Can anyone help me rectify this?
Please don't question what I've done. I'm not after a lecture. I'm just interested in fixing my phone.
Thanks guys =)

Hi I bricked my sgs2.
It won't turn on or even come up with a screen when plugged into the mains.
So I looked on here and people was mentioning a jig.
Bought one and still doesn't bring up download mode.
Anyone know how I can bring my sgs2 back to life
Thanks

JIG's aren't a fix for bricked phones mate, they just assist with download mode and counter reset.
There has been quite bit of mis-information about them.
I am not expert enough to help, sorry dude, hopefully someone can steer you in the right direction.

Im in the exact same situation. Feeling pretty dumb at the moment.....
Jig didnt worked for me either. Damn
The story is
SGS 1 usb brought the phone to download mode when three button trick failed
SGS 2 Someone found early that using the jig to boot phone zeroed the custom rom counter.
SGS2 presumption was that the jig would still help with download mode so many have told the many newbies who have flashed without following instructions to buy a jig
Last week a poster said it does not and can not recover download mode unless the three button download mode also works .
jje
Thanks man. So that means my phone is dead ?

I was trying to flash shabbys kernel and I installed the CWM Bootstrap. It went well untill It came With a message saying "fail to boot 2 starting RSD mood". I was rooted stock with Bootloader lock. Any help please?

Flash the mr5 sbf.
Sent from my Motorola Photon 4g
Just for others info, I believe you need a full cwm with unlocked bootloader in order to be able to flash kernels.
Yes you do. The bootstrap will only work with the P-Rom's like Laser, once you unlock bootloader you do need the custom CWM. Which is what I ended up having to install. Works good though. :]
What is the best way to flash mr5? Is there a guide? Thanks In advance

Im glad that all the devs put up indepth guides for all of us noobs to follow along with, especially the ones where they skip steps that we all should know by this point!

Follow those steps......Then when RSD asks to manually power up the phone do a battery pull and when powering back up HOLD THE VOLUME DOWN KEY till it boots into recovery. Then scroll down with the volume down key to "boot Android (no BP)" hit the volume up key. Let it do its thing. You should be up and working again.
These are the steps I used last night to solve the EXACT SAME problem you have....My device is now working again I just have to reactivate it when I take the loaner phone back later.

Most of it is cuz us noobs want to try stupid **** to see what we can get away with. That is why I did what I did yesterday, I was about 95% sure it would cause a problem but I chose to do it anyway.
So I have a new problem after restoring my device. Now I can't install any new apps from the market.every time I get the message "can't install ____ due to insufficient space on phone" of am at work now but I an gonna try to figure this out tonight.
Every time i plugin my phone It rellano me that battery is too low to flash. How do i charge It? It turns on every time to the fail to boot message

If u understand portuguese i can give a forum link and there u can find lot of information. Try search here too u must find something. I has a P500 and i rooted and everthing works for me. Sorry my limitation but i can not help more

Take out battery and while holding volume up connect to usb.
If phone doesnt turns on on its own use power button to do it (while holding volume up button).
I dont know if this works on p500.
If not even the lights switch on
Then its a full brick
Nothing but the service center will help now

"Volume up"+"Return"+"Power" this goes in emergency mode. if it doesn't boot in it, you really can't do anything with it anymore... unless you know how to change a mainboard by yourself.
Hey, I had the same problem, last chance is LG. But
.. WTF?!? They said, they did a software update! But how? No emergency mode, no recovery mode, nothing. They are lying to me. Software update... WTF?!?
I read it in many threads that you need to Disable LG Modem Driver in windows.. before flashing
anything via kdz. Try everything given in this link... hope it works. If the mobile can be unbrickd by software
update in LG service centre.. it wont cost you more but if board has to be replaced.. it will cost you
60% of the mobile price!!
Happened to a friend of mine before. It's pretty much unrecoverable unless you go to LG. Sorry mate.
Your phone is probably dead
I suggest you use this opportunity to buy a better non Qualcomm phone

If you do not have flashmode or fastboot mode you is not repair it. You need to flash stock rom before you flashing your.
BTW. after flashing TA is your BL locked go to the servise. Maybe they will fix it.
Srry for my english.
help me guys i need the phone so much
can i fix it without going to service center it is so far away
And Flashmode?
Get stock rom for xu and try to flash it via flashmode, maybe it will work.
Sorry as I am new to xda I cant post a new message for next 5 min. But remove the battery and charge it on a universal battery charger or a similar phone ant try to reboot. Sometimes the Kernel may fail to charge

yes for a 24 hours but since there is no thing is booting no kernel since i restored my ta and pressed the son of a b**** reboot button that rebooted my live
Leave the phone without battery for a while and press and hold the power button without battery for 60 sec then leave the phone again for a min or two then insert the battery and try to get into flash mode. If it isnt a hard brick then it'll definitely boot up make sure to keep the flashing stuff ready

after flashing note 2 (CWM) by mistake  touch screen is not responding :crying:. any solutions rather than factory reset and flashing stock rom via odin ??
If you haddnt fried your screen best way is to try to flash via odin. Try to boot up even if hour screen isnt working and try to flash
if helped press thanks

can i replace the digitizer only ? or do i have to replace the whole screen ? & thanks for the reply
It is technically possible to separate the screen and digitizer, but very difficult. If you search here you will find many people who destroyed either the screen/new digitizer/both in the process.
Repair shops usually only replace the complete assembly, for good reason.
