To be a bit more helpfull for you, you really should tell us which rom you actually downloaded, you may or not be aware that there is more than one(1) rom for our legend....
Now, making an assumption that you put cyanogen mod on your phone, you also need to flash the gapps-gb-20110828-signed.zip (or if there is a newer version) it is located on the cyanogen website.
This is required if you are going to access google accounts on your phone, someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I also believe you need it for the market, google maps, Gmail and stuff.
ok so i have been having problems with everything force closing so i have been having to flash recently. recently every time i flash i odin and wipe internal. well today i flashed the latest official slim bean well i tried flashing regular jellybean gapps 4.2 and then justunbean inverted gapps. when i told it to reboot it went back to recovery and displayed installation aborted status 0.
Its a recovery mismatch. Also a 4.2 slimbean hasn't been released yet, use the 4.1.2 gapps from slim downloads.
Would you prefer my usual method of conflict resolution?
I thought 4.2 gapps was the gapps that has the new camera and and the swipe like keyboard. I've used it on cyanogen mod official cm10. So if its a recovery mismatch what would I need to do to fix it?

I saw you posted on slim thread, did you get it fixed?
Are you running slim 4.2 that just came out?

Actually I'm not. I'm running jellybean slim 4.1. I am grateful that they've been helpful on that thread. No I haven't gotten it fixed. Ive been trying to run the justunbean mod for 4.1 and I still can't get it to work. For right now though I'm running slim inverted apps till I can figure it out.

I have one problem with Justin's... If you flash it, the phone. apk disappears. Have you used both gapps ? Step#1 followed by step#2

Step #1 and step#2 is for jelly 4.2 whereas I'm running 4.1 because I'm required by my parents to have a build that's at least in beats close to bring officially. I've met had that problem with just unbean before though

Hi Guys!
Since the jflte family of devices is almost exactly the same I thought I would post my I9505 (jflte) Rom here for you as well!
It has been tested by jfltetmo and jfltecan users and is confirmed working!
To install it, just download the I9505 rom and then flash the appropriate device specific package I created.
Download the rom from this thread
Download the appropriate device specific package
Install CWM or TWRP recovery.
Boot into recovery, install ROM, then install the device specific package then install gapps.
Wipe Data/Factory Reset if coming from another Rom.
Reboot and enjoy!
Your device name might show up as I9505. If you are bothered by it you can edit the file /system/build.prop in the rom .zip package before you flash it.
This does not affect the way the rom functions in any way.
Please let me know if you have successfully installed and running this rom on any of the US variants of the S4. I don't own the device!

If you have TWRP or one of the other recoveries installed you can flash it in the recovery.

He means to flash it before you ever even try to boot into system.

Yes that usually pops on a loki issue if im not mistaken. So your steps would be to flash the rom, flash your preferred kernel(i personally like the chronic kernel) then flash your gapps package.

Is this thread still alive or what. I grabbed the rootbox stable and nightly version from goo. And I got to say is pretty solid feeling. I can't find a support thread for these releases unfortunately data doesn't work on either build. All the other junk ass aosp builds have data. I would like to achive data or at least find a support thread.
Any ideas suggestions or input is appreciated Thanks

Sorry for the stupid question, but apparently, it hasn't been asked before...or I just couldn't find it.
Anyway, I've rooted my XT912 & flashed the PAC man ROM to it. I got that up and running just from lurking here. However, I don't know what to do with the gapps.
I went to goomanager, downloaded the most recent version, and then found it in file manager. But when I try to open it, I get a message reading that the file is too large. Am I doing something wrong?
Thanks for the help.

I'm not running that ROM, (I'm running Avatar) but I would assume it's the same process.
Place the ZIP file on your SD card after downloading and flash it using a recovery (I use Boot menu Manager, but Safe Strap would work too).

You might have more luck with more information on how you got to this point. For instance, did you root your phone and remove the apps? Also where did you download the apps from? If they are APKs you can install them from a file browser. If they are ZIP files you probably need to flash them from your custom recovery. Most downloads include specific instructions on how to install, so I would check there first. If there are no instructions, then I suggest you ask for help in that thread, that is unless someone else hasn't already.
I was rooted but still pretty much stock. I flash back to stock using odin so I could use the isis wallet. Then I upgraded to 4.2.2 and noticed that I no longer had samsung apps. So today I went to Samsung's website and downloaded it. Clicked to install and it trys to install then says application not installed?

Same issue here, bone stock VZW GS4 recently update to 4.3 and factory reset. I downloaded the APK directly from the Samsung Apps site and it shows the same error. I don't really need it for anything but it would still be nice to get it fixed.
