I saw a post on here that the Fascinate can be ported to Straight Talk using the "DFC" program. Would this be possible to port to Sprint? I have unlimited everything and Epic 4g as donor phone.

What if I use Virgin? They're on the Sprint network and right now I have to pay $85 for a monthly phone plan with unlimited data (mandatory) and 250 texts/mo. I had been hoping to go to Virgin after two months (V won't unlock my phone until then) because they have unlimited everything for $60/mo.

I think Sprint and Verizon are CDMA. Now as far as Virgin Mobile..? Well, I'd assume that since they're on the Sprint network that Virgin is also CDMA, so maybe. The second poster is right, Sprint will not allow you to do this, BUT I can't tell you whether Virgin can/will or not. MetroPCS and Cricket are also both CDMA and the Eris has been confirmed working on those since early spring of last year, so hell, maybe Virgin will and in that case I'm taking my Eris to them lol!
I have a Thunderbolt that I got activated on Verizon. The 4g works, but the reps keep saying that the 3g side was flashed to cricket. I can get texts, but 3g and voice calls are not working. Anyone know how to get this thing back on Verizon?
There is a post in Development that you could read on.
Can you link me to it?
Look here & then just search for what you need

I have a cricket flashed thunderbolt, and I dont know if on verizon *228 send works (it doesnt on cricket) but if it does than this is an easy fix, should be able to load a verizon prl using cdma workshop to the phone and update. if not it will be a little bit more involved but should be easlily doable
I'm trying to activate my HTC rezound on straight talk. Is that possible? Straight talk do offer sim cards but only for GSM. The rezound can function as GSM. Has anyone had any luck with this?
I've done it for making phone calls only but there's gotta be a way because of this http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&_trksid=p4340.l2557&item=200732653713&nma=true&rt=nc&si=4c%252Fvs%252FcD%252Boz61BA6xj12f7cYHic%253D&orig_cvip=true&rt=nc#ht_1934wt_1139 but maybe its like flashing something for metro pcs? im not sure.
+1 ive been using Droid Incredible 2 on pageplus, would like to know if its possible for the HTC Rezound to work on straight talk?

In case anyone is still looking at this thread.
This is what a straight talk rep told me:
You can go onto Straight Talk's website to purchase a SIM card to use their network. Go here:

yes you have to buy the open gsm sim not the t-mobile or the att&t one and just follow the intructions from there
The question is simple. My old Fascinate screen is slowly breaking and I got a free phone so I figured I try. Besides the obvious and unmentionable would it require a custom rom or flashing for it to be accepted by verizon or could I used forced verizon roaming on current rom?

This phone (the I9100) is a GSM phone that doesn't even work on Sprint's CDMA network.
Go to the forum for the Sprint Galaxy S II (also known as the Epic 4G Touch) to ask your question... though I think the answer is "maybe", if you can find a device to use as a donor for the ESN number. And on top of that, I don't think you'll get very good data speeds with a Sprint phone on the Verizon network. But I'm not positive on how CDMA phones work though.

I have a rooted phone with jelly beans rom I am able to ADD Networks to the ROM Software also I can do it with HIAPN Software. But nothing works. What am I doing wrong. Its a Verizon i605 Note 2 which I would like to Try STRAIGHT TALK using AT&T Towers. I have tried 2 different At&t straight talk SIMS. Neither one will bring up SIGNAL on my screen. The last card I bought says for At&t compatibly phones or UNLOCKED GSM Phones. My phone is UNLOCKED am I imputing the wrong DATA in the APN Info area can someone help me here find what is causing my problem. Frank [email protected]
The only CDMA-based phones that work on Straight Talk are the ones that Straight Talk sells directly. The "bring your own phone" method only works with GSM (AT&T, T-Mobile) phones.

I have a Verizon fascinate I flashed to mimic a straight talk CDMA phone. Works great. I'm actually here now because I want to know if I can do the same with a note 2
