Mine was in fast boot thanks to ROmmanager (after clicking clockworkmod i clicked some other option)
then i tried flashing with kdz , but didnt succeed , some errors
i removed battery to switch off phone and then phone never turned on
Wow that is bad service.
Last time I had issues with my mobile I took it to the carrier. It was still under warranty. They gave me a refurbished mobile and took my dead one. That's how it should work IMO.
That's how most carriers do it in U.S.

I bricked my phone two days back..!! took it to LG service Center... and they told me the pcb has to be replaced
unfortuantely, none of the service centers have any stock of pcb's currently
so they've asked me to wait for another week or so.

ugggggggh now i'm torn..do i wait to buy it from myself and make ****ty commission off it, or do i try to order it RIGHT NOW.

meh, i just tried to order it..she even had me on hold for 5 minutes...but came back saying earliest she can order it is the 14th.
however, i have a 30 NE2 in march..she told me if i order online, i get that 30 dollars off even RIGHT NOW. ALSO, im showing 249.99 for the razr...meaniing, its giving me 50 off..she doesn't know why, but she said don't question it hahaha...
i only laugh at this because i work for a verizon indirect company and i was gonna sell myself the phone..then i realized my loyalty plan means i'll get maybe like 2 dollars on commission off myself and it's not worth it because i don't get the 30 NE2 off right off the bat.....so i guess i'm ordering it monday night lol

Yeah...I made an online order last week for the HTC Thunderbolt based on a friends recommendation. Later that day, the Rezound was announced (and upon further investigation I decided against the Thunderbolt).
I didn't get a confirmation of deposit info until Tuesday and that is when I called. While on the phone I told them I wanted to change my order of tbolt to the new Rezound...even if I have to wait a few extra days. The lady asked if I was ok with paying $150 more for the Rezound and I told her it was no problem. She said it will be shipped asap and I would get an email with tracking info within a few hours.
Package arrived approx 24 hours after I got off the phone with her!

i called, failed. the girl even spent time on the phone checking for me, cuz i said that i heard that i could order it now (played a real idiot to see if she'd fall for it lol) but nope, she put me on hold for 5 min, then came back and said 14th.
my boss (owner of my verizon store) also called to try to see if he could order it, but they gave him the same answer: not till the 14th haha oh well.

After the 30 day return window from AT&T, I'm assuming that I need to deal with Samsung for any warranty issues, right? AT&T will not exchange, right?
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I717 using Tapatalk
Yup. See if there's a Samsung warranty/service center nearby that you can drive to. That would probably be the easiest way.
On my previous Samsung phone...I took it to the AT&T store so they could verify the camera autofocus quit working. The AT&T person was nice and called the support line for me, answered a number of their questions then handed the phone to me to finalize the transaction.
They sent me a new smartphone which arrived in 4 days then I returned my broken phone in a bag they provided.
pretty simple...and you can call the support line directly but I thought it would be easier to kinda play dumb and get AT&T involved i the process. This was 7 months into the 1 year standard warranty.
same here, bricked my captivate 2 times...got it exchanged from ATT....

Did they make you pay for a new phone, then credit the account after they got the old one? That's what they just told me today... thankfully there's a corporate store next to me.
No they did not
You have 14 days to return the bad phone otherwise you are charged. The prepay method applies to first 30 days...because they don't have refurbs available

Those of you getting them returned for warranty reasons through AT&T, any chance you have insurance on your phone or line? Other than just getting a nice employee, I've never known them to handle warranty issues like that...and last time I was in the store I was specifically told I had to go straight through Samsung. :/

When you purchase a phone (upgrade, straight buy, etc) from att, you have a warranty on your phone. I believe it is 12months in duration. This covers stuff like your phone having random reboots, shutdowns, and stuff like that.

Please help! I bought my Nexus 10 on december 16th at Sams Club. Everything was working fine until today. I turned on my Nexus and the screen was all messed up. It is almost completely black with just a few colors showing.
It is not rooted or messed with at all. It still has the plastic covers. I can't believe this happened. One night everythings is fine, the next moring the screen no longer works. I haven't droped it or anything like that. I take good care of it.
What should I do? Has this happend to anybody else?

You said everything was fine untill this happened, so you've never noticed any distorted lines of flicker in the screen before this? I know some folks are seeing that happen intermittently and I'm curious if it might be related.

The transaction should be linked to your membership. They track what you spend.
Give it to the service center for repair you should not experiment on it by rooting it
Hello i bought my SGS3 a few months ago and recently it developed that battery charging problem so I've decided to take it to the Samsung service center.... BUT There are some problems:
a) i have lost the purchase receipt
b) Being desperate i tried to wipe clean the battery terminals on the sgs3 with a damp cloth(Dumb, i know ) and accidentally smudged the water detection paper (the one with the little 'x' all over it) placed just below the battery terminals(partially, as i can still see 2-3 'X's near its edge). :crying: but i swear the device was always, otherwise kept away from liquids, and if they open up the housing i'm sure they will find the inner water damage indicators absolutely intact and unsmudged..
is my phone still covered under warranty? i can't afford another device...pls help :crying:
First things first, this post should go under the Q&A section, not general.
The service centre guys might refuse warranty just on the basis of not having the receipt. Forget about the water mark. If you can convince them about not having the receipt, only then can you think about the water mark. There is another patch just under the headphone jack opening. Tell them what really happened and ask them to check the water mark under the headphone opening. Hopefully it'll not be smudged and they'll be convinced.
Good luck!

Receipt doesnt matter. There is no S3 that is out of warranty yet.
Watermarks are a definite nono. There are two watermarks. Either one is activated, they will nail you. On eBay they used to sell those watermarks.
Good luck.
Now cue the idiot guy around here that says hit report to have thread moved.
it's not the receipt you should be worried about, it's the warranty document. if you don't have that, then you're out of luck
Actually you guys are both wrong....the service center can check if the device is under warranty just by checking the serial number and when it was manufactured etc etc.... So just take the phone with out any documents to a service center and you'll be fine as Samsung themselves gives two years
As about the watermark...it's all on them if they accept it or not

I had asked the same question once for my previous phone, LG P500, at the LG service centre and I got a good answer. He said that this is done so that they do not inadvertently repair a stolen phone for free. That would be unfair to the owner. The guy seemed sincere too.
BTW, I had been to the Samsung service centre, here in India in December, and they asked to see the receipt. Only then did they repair my phone, which was soft bricked.

I've never had a Nokia phone go bust, so, I never had to go to a service centre. But I've heard they do that, though. I've no idea if Samsung has that facility too.

I've no idea where the OP is from, but here in India, the receipt IS the warranty document as it provides the date of purchase and the IMEI. I'm sure it is the same in other countries too.

Both questions can only be answered by your service centre .
In theory water damage indicators may void your warranty .

That's correct. In the UK its not needed. Just the serial number.
i dropped my phone yesterday and i noticed a pink spot on the screen
after 5 or 6 hours the spot had completely spread and covered the whole screen
there was no visible crack on screen and touch was working fine
today in the morning my ohone screen wont turn on
the phone is still working because i can hear sounds while locking and unlocking
can someone please tell how can i get my phone fixed and how much a new screen is gonna cost me ?
